It's funny, I've never been a member there, but I keep getting e-mail newsletters from the site. Way back when there were advertisements from some guys who made a bunch of comic paysites that were going to make a "Mind Control Story Club." Around the same time that Mind Control Comics got hit with all their payment problems I guess they must have changed their name. I doubt that they changed their actual content all that much, but I guess it just goes to show how sloppy the enforcement of that weird trend of not-censorship was. But yeah, that Bimbo Story Club was a weird one. I could be remembering wrong, but I think that instead of either selling individual comics, or letting people view/download whatever for as long as a subscription period lasts, they've got some weird model where you can stream a certain amount during a subscription period. I don't know how much they actually have on their site, but I'm pretty sure that unless you pick the most expensive option then you actually can't look at their whole archives at once.

I think subscription models in general tend to throw people off though. Back when these threads were on /d/ and you had people posting Beyond Rubies, I remember there were quite a few anons who were interested in just buying that comic individually. But unless something has changed since the last time I paid attention you can't you can only subscribe to the site, which averaged out to something like 14 and some change per month of access.
A subscription model like that sort of depends on the consumer not just liking the subject matter, but having some faith in the creators that they'll continue to produce content they like over time, whereas a lot of anons here just had their attention caught by a single comic and didn't find it to be worth paying for more.

I did have a subscription there for a time, and I liked it, but since let my membership lapse. I'd say the content varied wildly, the art on the comics ranged from professional quality to deviantart tier, and the writing and implementation of the mind control similarly varied as well. I'd probably subscribe again if money wasn't tight.

frankly, I don't consider keeping up a montly sub to MCC worth it. they don't produce enough content to justify the 30 bucks a month. particularly when I can get a ton of content for free online. so I just wait until there's an installment of BR usually, then I dump the whole site on my HD and cancel. rinse repeat.

So here's a question to try and bring up some discussion. What internet artists that don't normally do this kind of thing would you like to see try it?

One thing that sometimes strikes me is that a whole lot art hypno art tends to come from the same artists over and over again. Granted, this is understandable, for one thing it's a niche thing that a lot of people probably wouldn't "get," and therefore wouldn't be able to do so well at. For another, a lot of us have a very specific look and style we want for this sort of thing, such that when an artist does get it, they tend to get more offers for the same. I do feel like it contributes to making a lot of this fetish kind of same-y and limited.

So does anyone have ideas for artists that don't normally do this kind of thing, who take commissions, and whose styles might lend themselves to it?

I'm only passingly familiar with this series, considering that very little of it is actually in English, but where there ever any other translations of the rest of the volume.

Like, it was far from sexy, but apparently it turns out that Chanclerune is really, really good at hypnosis spellls. It's something like at one point she has everyone at a dinner party under hypnosis, of course only for Melusine to bumble in and mess it up.

There's also some bit with some mirror world versions of themselves that try to control them. And Melusine destroys them, but it turns out that she's ruined a world where she and Chanclerune got to live happily ever after with all the money and power or something like that.
