In my personal opinion the characters that are not in the top 10 that I feel should get a spot are:

Either Fowder or Jack because they been around forever and their owner has done countless deliveries across pretty much every thread.

Franny for sure, Yuwatu's been around for just as long and has done really awesome deliveries for as long as I've been around.

I have a character in the top 10 and I would gladly trade that spot for one of those I named.

In the end, is just a minor thing, I really dont think is something worth discussing too much about.

I dont think the poll should be an absolute. (Idk if it was ever meant to be) but this thing can be discussed.

We also have to figure out the details of who's gonna draw what, which ocs get which numbers, how/who's gonna actually be able to swap the catgirls with the ocs, ect. Which is why I think we should come up with all the details of what's gonna happen, and have them written out for convenience and organization, before we get down to actually doing anything. The poll decided on who goes where. That means that there were a bunch of people who wanted their favorite characters on a spot in the Booru, and those people made a majority. We are not a /vp/ project.

This isn't about being an oldfag to these threads or how much a character's been posted. It's about what everyone wants.

Here's a suggestion. Call off the poll shit for now. Don't change the counter. It'll be a source of contention and lingering resentment, plus opinions change. The poll would've racked up very different results if we did it in thread 10 or something vs now. Just imagine the difference in thread 30. If we are to fancy up the counter, use Donut Steel, who will be the OP image for every thread. Header can be for OCs because you don't just have 10 slots.

So everyone can draw their ocs, and they'll get a number (and try to even out the number of ocs to a number) and have the current ocs in the "catgirl counter" and rotate ocs of each number every month or so?

Here is my solution proposal to the booru counter issue. It's detailed and specific in laying out a system that I think will make certain that the ocs that are worthy of being on the counter share the spotlight without the limitation of only 10 slots.

And a weekly rotation will just make the counter topic to be brought up again, and again, and again, AND AGAIN every single time a rotation would be done.

Probably the best solution is either not even bother with it or have those that REALLY want their OC in the counter just draw it themselves and upload it. that way those that really care will have it done and those that dont really wont even have a reason to complaint. and if more than 10 people submit OCs then they can discuss among themselves which one goes up within that group.

In the end, IS JUST A COUNTER YOU SEE FOR A FEW SECONDS WHEN ENTERING THE SITE!! its not worth this much planning!

Yeah like the way i planned it is basically only for those that really want it. Cause only the ones who really want it will put in the work to make it happen. I just wanted to provide a solution plan where anyone who wants it can get it and not be left out, since the results of the poll started the bickering and people didn't like who was included or who wasn't.

This way it's ultimately up to the creators to decided if they want their ocs as the counters, and if they're willing to put the effort into it. If noones willing to put the effort into it, then yeah, it probably shouldn't be done at all.

I posted this one before, but I'll add some more details. This is a pair of superhero OCs of mine. The guy is a near human alien, obsessed with clowns and creepy shit. The girl is Hush, she is Russian, scientist injected microbots into her DNA, allowing her to alter her appearance and body properties.

Sara is his sister, but because she got stolen in the hospital and thrown away, then found and raised by a japanese couple, she knows some japs.

Well RPG girl is "Pseudo Latina" so she can speak Spanish and English.

The reason is because the game world has 3 continents (named very stupidly "Left", "Middle" and "Right", them being proxys for America Europe and Asia respectively.) and each "Town" tended to represent a real world area or country.

"Ammy's" mother was from the area that would be Mexico, which in the game was a town where everyone was named after Colors in spanish (her mom is Celeste and her sister's real name was Verde) so everyone from there can speak Spanish.

Now that I think about it, if "Ammy" would gotten a name in universe instead of being player named, her name likely would been either "Amarillo" or "Azul".

So I did the artist challenge.

I have to draw zoomed in to try and keep the lines stable, but then I can't see the whole thing to know if I'm fucking anything up, so I don't really know what to do about that...having an old PC with a smaller screen area to work with doesn't help either.

Anybody got any advice on how to keep track of the whole drawing while zoomed in? I can't seem to increase the size of the thumbnail in Manga Studio and it's not big enough for me to see well.

I've never used Manga Studio, so I don't know what options are available for it. I know Photoshop lets you open a second window for a particular image, so when I use PS I will often have a "working area" that's zoomed in, and a zoomed-out version to the side to be able to see both.

If that doesn't work, you could always zoom out to your desired "final size" or whatever and place guides or markers at key places. Or just zoom out periodically to see how the overall picture looks. Lots of options, I suppose.
