Are you sure? It should work. I tested it.

Maybe there is something wrong with your coordinates. Try have the hover image just be a solid colour to test. At 1920,1080 resolution all those coordinates showed up in the top left of the screen in small rectangle boxes.

1. It's a pain in the ass to upload larger files when it takes 1 minute to just download and install the RTP and be done with it.

2. Size is still an issue in 2016 when using free hosting options. Mega can work, but even Mega has toyed with bandwidth limits for hosted files. I don't know where they stand, but it is not unreasonable to think they may put limits when your bandwidth usage gets huge.

That doesn't even cover other countries where ISP access can actually restrict your overall data usage or cell phone plans.

How hard is it to just download an RTP package once and be done with it. Then, every version, update, etc. of the actual game is literally a fraction of the size.

You can nitpick and "fix" until the world ends if you let yourself.

Years ago I actually was a huge enthusiast of point and click adventures but I slowly grew to hate this genre for it's one solution mentality. My creative or logical thinking was never rewarded because they always wanted one specific solution at any given time. The genre never evolved beyond that.
