Legitimate note. I had (and sometimes still do) a problem of rushing to the finish line once it was within sight. In a story like that, that meant sprinting through the sex that the entire story was building up toward. I like to think I've ditched this issue since then, but I do sometimes still do it. Breaks are important, rather than trying to do an entire story/chapter in one sitting.

However, he has also promised that more lewd is coming, eventually. Since he only updates once a week (and skips occasionally due to Real Life & shit), it's just taking some time. He's still doing a lot of setup, and some really fun non-explicit lewd. Since he's still doing a lot of the setup on how the story began, there is also the concern that his 10-year old main characters don't get him busted for pedo shit and ruin a good thing. Once he progresses into their more mature relationship, he's indicated he has Plans.

I've no complaints. The quality is top and I'd rather he takes his time to do it right.

He spent most of a week here on /aco/ discussing & interacting in a thread. He's cool with fanart, so drawfags & edits are up to the community.

Not that this one was required at this point, but it did nail that coffin shut pretty tight. What I like about it is, the story has already established this connection, so speculation from here is wide open on what Brandon's going to do with it.

I just hope he's successful enough with it that he keeps it going to some sort of completion, maybe even enough he can update 2 or 3 times a week and get the story out faster, maybe move on to new ones in this universe or others. His art style is a joy to study, and he just keeps getting better. I'd like to see him get prolific enough to branch out and do other things (while still keeping on-character with his current style on this story).

Very nearly all the content published so far, and I'll estimate that's about 100 pages of the 109 published, has been of just prior to Tim's 10th birthday, which just took place over the most recent 35 pages or so. I might have mis-remembered and he was 10 and just turned 11.

In one of the more recent pages one of the older characters estimated Shadow's age as "8 or 9."

If anything, Brandon's art style has made the main characters look a good bit older than they are. Especially how developed the girls are. But, that could be put down to her species ....

Now I'm sad because the comic has been kinda ruined for me.
It would't be so bad if they were teens, but I don't have any real interest in reading a cocktease about kids. The whole premise of this comic is supposed to be "They're going to fuck eventually" but it feels like it'll either take too long to reach payoff or it'll be forced in real quick.

I get the feeling Brandon may have shot himself in the foot by defining a time frame.

I'd suggest some patience. First page was November 15, 2014. He says straight out that he knows nothing about doing a comic when he posted that. The guy's done a shitload of on-the-job learning to get to where the comic is now. Obviously there are too many comments to read 'em all these days, now that the popularity has jumped. But he participates a good bit, and he's outright admitted that he's unhappy with trying to separate the look of different ages in the characters.

So, I give him some grace, especially since the art is so gorgeous and the story is looking to be top-notch. He warned in the first couple installments that this is a very long-term project. When you look at some more established comics that are still going after 12 or 15 years, he's barely begun at a couple weeks past 2 years.

Another thing is that he's now established much of the base story. I suspect it's not going to be much longer before he jumps to the "present" and gets the main story going.

Go back to the first page and read the posts & comments for the first 5 pages or so. He's got an ambitious story on deck; these past two years have been largely "practice" for him to get into it and polish up character design and critical details.

I'm more disappointed there's so little good fanart. This comic begs for it and deserves it.

It's not that you can't do it - just that you're probably not going get it right on your first tries. You're going to be prone to changing it as time passes and you gauge reactions from fans.

It's pretty cliche and the names are pretty cringey at times. People are reading it because we were told it would lead to fucking. It's like every slice of life comic that builds sexual tension - it especially reminds me of QC in that regard. It's not complicated to figure out how it draws with the monstergirl hook.

The biggest problem I foresee is eventually people will either want more of the slice of life or more deepest lore which will alienate those that want the other.

I think either way it's good enough to be successful enough that people will forget the earlier pages. Look at Dominic Deegan.

I can't shake the sense you're being somewhat sycophantic about it.
I mean, it's really good if it's a first timer, but it's still a first timer and there's a bunch of problems with it that are probably holding it back. You're painting a picture of it being something near Doxy levels of comics when it grades closer to Shad's work - alright overall but doesn't have the art or the writing to appeal to a wider audience. And that's without comparing it to InCase or Nebeziel.

Don't mind my opinions though. I'm just an old jaded webcomic guy that contributed to bad webcomic wikis. I've seen more Raine dogs and B^Us than one person should endure alone.

Re-read my comments. It started because someone didn't think there was enough gaping 8-year old vagina, which was fucking absurd. Then it was outright retardation over the age of the characters.

I just fucking give up at this point. 4chan is going to shit on everyone because the only thing that makes the local tard population happy is shitting on other people. The guy's doing well, he has work to do. He's humble enough to know it and is learning pretty much at every installment. On top of that, he's been pretty smart, especially for a novice. All he's done for two years is setup the premise, which gave him time to develop his story & script, his general skills, his fan base. He's done the exact opposite of write himself into a box. Nobody has any fucking idea what's about to come, what the original concept(s) are/were, or any revision he's done over the past two years.

All I really said is I give him some grace at this point and suggest a bit of patience. He's set this up with a lot of potential, now we get to see what he will do with it. We just have to keep watching for the next two or so years to see how that goes.

The biggest problem I see is /aco/-level retards that won't be happy with anything less than stretched open assholes gaping through shit-filled diapers and faggot futa cornholing each other with buckets of diseased-looking cum on every page for the next ten years. I'm not That Guy; different anon here. But, huge Sequential Art fan (and, increasingly despondent that Battle Bunnies is stalled).

Anyway, a couple basic premises.

The squirrels discover a strap-on. Ownership to be determined, but (possibility, for example) one Kat used to employ (hey, college is for experimentation, right?) and just couldn't bring herself to toss out. So, for Nostalgic Reasons, it's hidden away.

And the Squirrels discover it. Because, they're the squirrels and nothing will ever remain hidden or safe from them. It had a vibrating mechanism, which is broken.

The mystified squirrels now engage in research and speculation as to purpose and how to use. They've never actually had sex before, or evcen orgasms. It's just never occurred to them. Because, squirrels. Already dopy and wound up on life.

Puzzlement is resolved, because the Internet.

And on to repairing it, discovering exact permutations of wearing it & using it ... and re-engineering it. Of course. I mean, it's an older model from Kat's college days, upgrades are an inevitable conclusion to the plotline at this point.

Still slightly puzzled as to nuances of purpose and use, Scarlet asks Kat to join them in their lab for consultation. Upon arriving at the lab, Kat has a spectrum of reactions. There's probably two whiteboards of diagrams & calculations plus a bench covered in parts and prototype models, not to mention the 80" 8K TV screen with motion and configuration studies rendered in 3D.

You think Kat will tutor them properly ....? Will she be able to climax each squirrel before she succumbs to the re-engineered technology herself?

Have the Denizens been attracted by the activity? Are they observing from various points in the room?

There are many questions here that require answers. Hopefully there is some inspiration here or there in this post.

We should probably consider starting a Sequential Art/Battle Bunnies thread and try to fill it with some quality posts.

Dude, it's because it's actually decent. Anything that is of any prominence due to being actually not shit will garner a solidly loyal core of angry pitchfork-wielding haters. The fact remains that K6BD is one of, if not the best comics out there right now. I can't think of another serious-toned webcomic that is on the caliber of K6BD. Doesn't have to be elaborate, just very minimal edits and add a few paragraphs, let the scene stand alone so that it can be imagined to fit anywhere the reader places it. Massage it toward being more of an art piece and less of a pr0n piece, just a small slice-of-life fragment.
