Actually a decent coming of age story, with MC starting as a complete pussy and finally learning to man up.

Didn't like how the show didn't make sense until the last 7 episodes.
Having a mystery is fine but when you literally don't know what the fuck people are talking about when they use weird terminology for the whole show doesn't make for a fun experience.
Seeing it as a whole I do like it but still a 7/10 since it wasn't enjoyable while watching it.
Most characters are fucking assholes too and you barely get any background on 70% of the crew, enjoy more Renton getting abused.

A pretty fun show with some pretty sweet animation, comfy setting, solid cast of characters outside of the main duo, one of the better electronic/orchestral soundtracks, one of the better dubs, and only really falls apart at the end, as per usual with long time running bones shows.

The pacing was fucking weird and the whole thing didn't really make sense to me, before the last few episodes. Also the butterfly wings are retarded.
And I hate how that child abusing asshole was advertised as a cool guy.

The pacing towards the end was really funky. It crashed and burned like any typical Bones show at the end of its run.

It had better pacing than AO though

really good animation

main character starts off whiny pussy and then mans up later, much like Blue Gender, except he doesn't become as badass.

the story and characters are really good, I'm glad they chose to show so much of what was happening on the antagonist's side, it made the show much more interesting and involving.

My only real problem with it is the annoying orphan toddlers on the ship, they are just absolutely abhorrent and I wish they died.

Movie was pretty bad 4-5/10

Ao was god awful 3/10

My main problem with the series was cavern arc and Hollands character development. Also although the ending was great... it didn't really fit in with the series. It felt completely out of left field while being great

I'll never understand this. Isn't that the good part? Nothing is specifically filler aside from maybe the soccer episode. It's like a trip. You don't complain getting entertained on the trip.

I've seen Bleach endings with better directing, namedropping a universally overrated show's director as if directing is a difficult job that takes talent is laughable.

Best girls, best guys, best mechs, good character development, good world development. Biggest weakness is Anemone getting her screentime shafted and the aspect ratio at a point where most high budget anime were going widescreen.

Should be on every list of great anime.
