Okay, like a lot of people, I enjoyed the major installments of the series (Bake, SS) but seeing the recent -gatari output of SHAFT, how the series lost most of its initial appeal, and how both Nisio and SHAFT don't even try to put effort into making this, one has to wonder if SHAFT shouldn't simply ditch the series.
Shit grows more old than old past a certain point and some key moments in the series proved that SHAFT could actually pull off some nice sakuga when the situation called for it.
But now, the Monogatari series doesn't even have its previous appeal that was the occultism aspect, failed to refresh itself and it's really obvious the project is weighing down on SHAFT's ability to provide more diverse content. And fucking Nisio doesn't seem to be willing to stop writing this anytime soon.
What do you think?
>its previous appeal that was the occultism aspect
Yeah yeah, the occultism sure, that's why I watched it, freakin love dat occultism.
If SHAFT got rid of Monogatari, then they would have to actually put in effort to make sales. Shinbo stopped giving a fuck a long time ago.
What they really need to get rid of is Akiyuki Shinbo.
He's a pretentious idiot that has to shoehorn his "style" and quirks into everything he does, even when it doesn't fit the tone of the story at all.
SHAFT not really the decisionmakers for what stuff they make, especially when it comes to monogatari. I mean, they'll take the job for any gatari sequels they're offered, but it really isn't up to them.
>they would have to actually put in effort to make sales
That's not a bad thing. And I'm pretty sure SHAFT must be one of the very few studios that actually covers the cost of the anime with the BD sales. Couldn't hurt too much to try new things.
Believe it or not, the major part of Monogatarifags think that Bake is the best installment of the series due to its inventive direction and actually sparse use of fan service.
That's precisely the point. They could try something new, or at least make public the recent Prism Nana OVA that look interesting and quite refreshing compared to the usual PowerPoint style.
>waa not enough action where is all the mystery why wont they stop talking i dont like this so shaft has to stop
I think you sound like a child. If you're losing interest then that's your own fault, it has nothing to do with the writing or direction of a series of novels/anime episodes/movies. Are you afraid to have something different? You just want every single season to have the same theme so you can get your fill of "spooky ghost mysteries"?
I think a guy should be left to do whatever the hell he wants with his own content
Nice clickbait OP. Now we'll get plenty of people coming to the thread for the waifu wars.
Shinobu best girl. Though I still think you have good taste if you like Hachikuji or Tsukihi.
>Are you afraid to have something different?
On the contrary, I actually want something different.
>I think a guy should be left to do whatever the hell he wants with his own content
Except when the time and workforce used to make an anime that is repeating itself ad nauseam could actually be used for more interesting. If the artstyle was evolving or taking a different direction, if the animation was still present, there would be little problem but almost everything that followed the first installment so far has been inferior to Bake when it comes to the amount of work put into it. Have you tried watching the recent Owari or Koyomi? The stories aren't even interesting, and whenever there's a little bit of action, the physics are completely off (bodies look like they are floating)
Stop with your boogeyman.
>what i personally want outweighs what thousands of other people want
>shaft should cater to me specifically, instead of their target audience which actually spends money on anime
I haven't read the books, but apparently the anime is based of some books, havee you read the books? I mean if you got the answers shafts application page is just a browsser away?
The liar is of far greater value. In its deliberate attempt to be real, it's more real than the real thing.
As good as Kaiki's point was. Nise argues that both the real and the fake are needed. Araragi explicitly stoved Karen with Yozuru's viewpoint before finishing her off with Kaiki's viewpoint even before he meets Kaiki at the festival/having met Yozuru.
>Shinobu best girl. Though I still think you have good taste if you like Hachikuji or Tsukihi.
Only orthodoxal waifu choices.
