Is this the worst Kyoani show ever done?
Heck, the threads don't even last half a day now.
I saw a couple of episodes yesterday (was pretty meh) was searching a thread but I didn't find any.
Not that I really cared to begin with. Is the show who gets what it deserves.
If you're interested in what was /a/'s reaction to the episodes on airing days, you best be browsing /a/ on airing days (and the day thereafter), or start using the archives.
But most of the posts in Myriad Colors Phantom World are just your typical shitposts anyway.
Not a Kyoani fan but at least I know their series are quite popular in /a/, so I assumed (incorrectly) that, as always one or two threads are going to be alive when I finally saw the series and wanted to post but...
Only a really bad Kyoani show could generate this lack of threads. From what I saw so far, it doesn't even have a plot. Just the episodic phantom excuse to show fanservice.
Usually KyoAni shows have threads up all day, 'erry day. It's what sort of got the reputation of the fans being annoying (remember when Chuu2 was airing and like a quarter the catalog could be full of threads of it on any given day). Euphonium had practically a general going
Phantom World can't really manage one. Though I give credit for trying
What? You think I'm trying to ruse you or something? Euphonium and K-On are the epitome of mediocrity, offering nothing of substance and nothing more than cute cartoon girls doing absolutely nothing.
Half of KyoAni fanboys are the type who eat up pointless SOL shit and like certain characters because they have cute reactions (Kumiko). The other half are the type who eat up pointlessly "deep" anime where all the important scenes have super melodramatic music and forced animation to make them seem cooler and all the themes are spoonfed to you.
There's no reason for them to do another season as long as that shit's on hiatus. If they don't have anything new to sell, there's no reason they'd make an adaptation to advertise the series.
Because muh Kadokawa slavery.
Kyoani are greedy and don't want to buy copyrights for Haruhi adaptation (like they did with Shitphonium).
They keep trying to adapt their shitty LNs and create a new Haruhi in terms of popularity and chuunishit.
That's why Kyoani a shit.
>Kyoani are greedy and don't want to buy copyrights for Haruhi adaptation (like they did with Shitphonium).
You are fucking retarded. They bought rights for Euphonium because it was published by small company. Kadokawa is huge company that EMPLOYED Kyoani to make 2 anime series and move which were COMMERCIALS for Light novels.
ALSO AUTHOR DIDN'T WROTE ANYTHING NEW NOVEL FOR 6 YEARS SO DON'T EXPECT THEY WILL MAKE ANOTHER COMMERCIAL FOR HIS WORKS
> yfw the last Kyoani show (outside of Free) that reached the 10k line was 3 years ago.
I find it funny people call KyoAni a studio that survives by pandering to otaku (or more recently to fujos) when their best selling properties, K-On and Haruhi, both have extremely wide appeal and are liked by tons of normalfags. In fact their most pandering stuff sells like garbage.
>In fact their most pandering stuff sells like garbage.
Free is their third highest selling property, passing even Lucky Star, which was pretty panderific itself.
By the way, who wants to make a bet on how many people who hate Free have never even watched the show?
People always remember the first sales. Re-release adds sometimes a lot of sales. Hyouka for example practically doubled with the BD-box.
If we sums all the sales of Haruhi as a franchise we get 130k. That's huge considering the chart doesn't include movies. Damn... a third season even when Haruhi is not relevant anymore I doubt it'd be less than 30k. the chart doesn't include movies.
