I find it worse that there are barly any threads I am interested in on /a/ for the last year or something. Depends on the anime as well though, next season looks better in that regard so there will hopefully be more stuff to discuss.

My backlog was always pretty small once I finished the series that I was actually interested in, most of the hyped stuff were let downs and there usually only are around 2 seasonal anime that are good enough to watch for the sake of it. Most other stuff is only enjoyable when you watch it live with /a/ and speculate about upcoming episode or complain about recent ones.
