>What were the projected sales?
No one fucking knows. They're just talking out of their ass. Anyone that has the projected sales from the studio itself, feel free to post them with source. Except no one will. Faggots.
Trust me it will never happen. They fucked up the adaptation buy adapting the first 3 volumes then suddenly spoiled crucial content from volume 6. So if S2 happens, they'll have to show the same exact ending from volume 6 because there's no good stoping point in v7 and 8.
One meme man is still selling less the overlel and mahouka. Heck it didn't even boost the manga that much. 150-200k increase in manga sales is barely remarkable compared to other titles like Haikyuu!, Nanatsu no Taizai or Tokyo ghoul.
That doesn't change the fact that you have no fucking idea what the expected sales were and are talking out of their ass. At least be an aware stalkerfag. Don't go full retard.
I think what >>137729196 means with projected sales are the sales estimates based upon the stalker points and ranking formula. Which was around 10k or so by the last estimate. Studios themselves don't make any estimates. They just hope it sells well enough that they'll get some good money out of it, or that the production committee is more or less satisfied with the results and recommends them to other companies who want to hire animation studios to make an anime for advertising.
And indeed, volume 1 of One Punch Man sold around 12k discs, with volume 2 selling around 9,5k discs.
Old and busted. Welcome to the new hotness
Does it matter? It still sold less than their other shitty shows with lower production values. None of them were hyped either and both the source material and the anime did better than one meme man.
Proven wrong? The main argument here was which of Madhouse's shows did better than it was expected. Nobody expected Overlord's source material to get a mega boost or it's anime averaging above 10k sales. The same goes to Mahouka and compared to those two OPM didn't do "better than expected". People were expecting the anime to be a hit like SnK because of its popularity in nipland and it's manga to get boosted like Tokyo ghoul or Nanatsu no Taizai. Heh in the end it failed to do failed to do either
That's not how it works anon. Even if Overlord was a success most of the profit goes to the publishers, author and the other producers that invested on it. Madhouse get their share in the end.
My point is that they aren't in immediate danger, or they presumably wouldn't be deep in work on all these different projects, since immediate bankruptcy would leave those all hanging. And the fact that the owners of Bahamut and Garo, which are basically the hottest IPs for MAPPA's anime (not counting Ushio to Tora, since its age is long over) have commissioned not only sequels, but a spin-off and movie respectively should make it obvious that these anime are performing well.
the election arc started in the manga when the anime began you idiot, so the hiatus did cause shuiesha to pull out..
The TV station covered the whole cost afterwards anyways, madhouse made millions just animating it.
>the election arc started in the manga when the anime began
Kek retard spotted. It went back to hiatus a few chapters later.
>madhouse made millions just animating it.
Oh that was good joke.
