New chapter is out
Maria arc soon?
Next few chapters will probably be nothing happens again
Hamster end when?
Well that confirms it.Hayate is somehow a reincarnated Nagi's father. He looks like him and starts to remember his past life or he is using his connection to her to speak to her thorugh the jewels.
>The Sanzenin family basically owns Hakuou.
This explains a lot of things.
Maybe the two last episodes of Cuties?
Well, we never met Hayate's parents, but I don't think so. Remember, Hayate's mother was alive at the start of the series, but Yukariko was already dead.
>Hayate IS Nagi's father
>Nagi's mother won the bowl
Hayate no Gotoku is so fucking good I don't understand how it mixed so many different genres and after 50+ tankoubons it could still be interesting and not predictable.
Damn, this is too much plot development for one chapter (by Hayate standards at least). So now that Hayate has multiple kings jewels, he only needs a large amout of negative emotion to open the path to the garden/palace. I'm going to guess that Nagi will open the path when she finds out that Hayate doesn't love her.
I'm curious as to how Nagi's parents play into this. From the flashbacks we've been getting, we know that her mother is connected to the royal garden somehow. Perhaps she will be waiting there as a spirit or something? I doubt that Hayate is related to her father, and since he was born before the father died, he can't be a reincarnation either.
But does anyone else think the plot has been moving too fast in this arc? I want this manga to finally end like everyone else, but I'd hate to get a rushed ending with loose ends. Which reminds me, I remember reading in a Magi thread that every manga in Shonen Sunday was being forced to end. Has anyone else heard anything about this?
Kind of. It started off as a decent gag manga, and when the plot got going it got pretty good. Then we got like a 5 year period where the quality took a nose dive, but the manga has gone back to being great in this past arc. It's also close to being finished.
Try reading the first few chapters and see if you like it.
>tfw if they animate Athena's arc next is Doujinamek
I don't understand how he could be her father though. There isn't any blood relation between the two since we've already met Hayate's parents (I'll asume that they're his real parents since his brother would have said something otherwise when they met on the beach two arcs ago).
I also don't think he can be a reincarnation. Hayate is 16 and Nagi is 13 (correct me if I'm wrong here), so when Nagi was born Hayate was already 3. We know that Nagi's father passed away before she was born, so it had to be around ~9 months prior to that, which is still 2 years after Hayate was born.
The only other option would be if the father's spirit found its way into Hayate somehow. Which might actually be a possibility, if we assume that Can't Take My Eyes Off You is canon and that it happened prior to this chapter.
Holy fuck, that title page has Maria's butt. If only the shitty topaz cleaning didn't destroy the line.
Athena will die.
But her soul will chose to go back in time, the the time when she was happiest, and she will be at End of the World arc's 1st chapter in a loli body.
Nagi who loves Hayate want to be with him too and want to be in a time when he'd love her, but since he already loves Athena he'll go back in time before Nagi is born, and became her father.....-.
Hayate's parents are Nagi's paternal grandparents. Hayate is literally her father and her mother is the winner of the butlerbowl. Some time in the future he'll be transported to before Nagi is born.
Time travel would certainly add an interesting twist to the plot. Though I kind of feel like it's a bit too late in the story to add Nagi's mother to the harem and have her win somehow.
Ruka was so close after 40 tankoubons so I can see it happening. Hata doesn't follow cliches.
I can see some bittersweet stuck in the past and falling in love ending for Hayate, since 1 girl winning in the present makes all the rest lose.
Nagi and Hayate are siblings.
Parents are lovestruck couple not realizing they are traveling through time. They think everyone recognizes them as Sanzenin, that's why they don't pay for anything.
Ruka was close to winning, but she had a ton of character development over the course of the 3+ years that doujin namek lasted. If what >>137688713 says about the manga being forced to end is true, then there just isn't enough time to introduce a new girl and have Hayate fall in love with her.
This was some serious bullshit. He spent years on the arcs that dealt with gathering the kings jewels, and over the course of a single page all of that became meaningless. Damn it Hata, I'm not even mad.
>nothing happens again
Just the way I like it
>Hayate is Nagi's father!
This entire thread confirmed for not having watched CTMEOY.
Hata and Maria confirmed to be Nagi's reincarnated parents
what were even their roles were?
was hayate the substitute for nagi's father because he fucking looks like him?
and that maria is substitute for nagi's mom since when she gets her hair down looks exactly like her?
Fuck. This does not look good. Silver Spoon is ending in a few weeks and Magi is well into its final arc. I really hope they give Hata enough time to end this properly. I've been following Hayate for the better part of 8 years, I'll be pissed if we get a half-assed ending.
Nope. She's about to get shot down hard.
Nagi's dad's name is Shin Hayek by the way. That's a weird name it's probably a nippon anagram.
It'll probably be word association if anything.
Dropped it, when chinese magoo has become more appealing than Japanese, something has gone fucking wrong, and I can't blame my tastes shifting since so many series have jumped shark.
No Hinagiku arc to maintain tension, Hata had no plans for after Athena. He had the best girls yet never bothered with it. Idol wasn't bad but taking Nagi's manga skills seriously was retarded.
>Silver Spoon is ending in a few weeks
Well, things does seem to be wrapping. Last I remember glasses dude has already been planning his own business and the main love interest was going to uni or some shit. All that's left is a proper confession/ going out scene.
anime is both canon while not giving a shit about continuity. The best way I can describe it would be like some kind of a time-patching situation like the history monks from discworld in that the events did happen, but won't fit into a proper timeline in the manga.
Reminder that canon doesn't mean it's good or indicative of quality.
mfw maria will win the hayata bowl
