ITT: Characters that would make the show unwatchable when hes/shes gone
Terra Formars isn't unreadable, but I'd probably drop it if Keiji died.
Better back the fuck up before you get smacked the fuck up.
Harushit is litterally worst girl. I would rather Kyon turn out to be gay and go after Koizumi before ending up with her.
Asahina is just to moe for me to see her in a real-life relationship.
Yuki is the only girl that seems to actually give a shit about protecting the world for what it is.
Haruhi is the one breaking things, Asahina just cares about protecting and insuring the future she's from, and Koizumi is Koizumi.
She made the show. Without her, there would be no real plot.
I'll never understand the dislike for her, other than the obvious lie in the last episode.
Yeah, but that doesn't mean she isn't shitting the place up.
Just because you don't know you're shooting someone in the ass everytime you hit the red button on the table doesn't mean his/her ass won't need reconstructive surgery every five god damn seconds.
Isn't that sort of the idea of the concept behind an MC? The MC is the character on whom the audience's primary interests and attention lie on, whom the story revolves around.
You can hardly blame someone from pressing a button if it isn't labeled and you don't think it does anything.
But what Haruhi does isn't even conscious, shes not pressing the red button. You're blaming her for breathing.
What I'm saying is this:
Yes, Haruhi doesn't know anything. Haruhi is Haruhi. She will always be Haruhi. There is no changing the Haruhi.
That's why she would be an absolute nightmare in any kind of serious relationship.
Think about it. You have this extreamly important secret that you have to keep away from your lover while also sneaking behind her and fixing the stuff that she subconsciously breaks.
You do this all while walking on eggshells around her because Haruhi is insecure to a fault and if she gets even the slightest bit upset then you could just poof out of existence.
Yes, you are right when you say Haruhi has no idea what's happening. It is not her fault.
However, witheverything that could possiblly go wrong, the only good choice Kyon has as far as a relationship with any SOS Brigade memeber goes is Yuki Nagato.
Yuki is the only one that will ever be able to fix Haruhi's changes. Yuki is the only one that has the ability to truly protect Kyon and truly cares about him enough to do so.
I still don't understand why they didn't just tell her. They had some weak excuses about how it might upset her and cause her to create a new world, but by the end she develops enough attachment to the other characters that she probably wouldn't ditch.
All they need to tell her is that if she makes a new world they all die. She's not evil enough to want that to happen.
By your logic, if a woman will try to kill me if I don't go out with her, I should just go out with her.
That's not how it should ideally work.
Yes, there could be backlash. However, Kyon should go with the correct choice no matter the consequences. Haruhi will be Haruhi no matter what happens. There's no changing that. Being in a relationship with her would actually create more problems than him just admitting that he loves Yuki.
At which point Kyon can come keep her in check.
Also Haruhi isn't completely retarded. She can understand that there are consequences for actions. In my mind her knowing is a plus because it lowers the chances of her unconsciously fucking things up.
Keep those delicious tears flowing yukifag
>You do this all while walking on eggshells
This is also wrong. Kyon doesn't walk on eggshells around her. Part of the point is that he's the one person that is treats her like a normal person. They fight each other, they confide in each other, they have what no 2 other characters in that show have.
Mother fucker, do you want to throw down over some anime bullshit?
Yuki-kun wins. End of discussion.
That's actually a pretty fair point.
I would argue that the ending of The Disappearance movie shows that Kyon and Yuki have something between them, though. I don't think she knows how to express it at that point, but you can tell there's something going on.
How about characters that make you not watch the series
What if I told you in the LNs,
Yuki gets really sick, and Haruhi stays at her bedside taking care of her the whole time
ITT: People say that removing the character the show is built around would, shockingly, ruin the show
Thanks guys, never would have been able to guess that.
ITT: characters that once removed will, in fact, enhance the show.
>barely even considered the MC
>carrying the show
Meanwhile Sinbad is so god tier he got his own spin off, since he literally can carry a series.
I mean, I don't think that anyone can say otherwise: This guy had Medaka Box where it ended, before him it was Unreadable/Unwatchable
No, it's retarded to say things like he's "barely considered" the MC or "isn't acknowledged as the MC when he gets more development and panel-time than anyone else in the cast bar Aladdin.
It is being carried by him right now.
Do you have any idea what 'carrying a series' means? It doesn't mean that character is getting the most focus or panel time, if that was the case then this thread would just be 'post MCs'. It means they're the redeeming factor of a series that would be mediocre without them. That's not even remotely true for Magi, Alibaba isn't the most popular or important character to the point that his MC status is dubious and there's literally another character with their own series.
If only s3 would come, accelerator and hamazura literally save the series.
Yeah, a character with their own series nowhere near as popular as Magi. What's your point? You're the one who started babbling on about him being "barely considered an MC", I merely corrected you; so that's your little tangent, not mine.
Sinbad might carry his own series, but not the main one. There are far more characters in Magi than Sinbad who are capable of doing that, Alibaba being one of them. But the OP asked to post characters that make a series unwatchable when they're not around, and to me that's Alibaba. Because when he isn't around, you get shit like the Kou civil war, the first half of Magnostadt and Alma Torran.
The whole cast was great you pleb
>Sinbadfags still believing their boring Gary Stu is interesting
The few episodes that he is stuck on the boat, are not so fun. Even hellsing abridged dropped in quality, when alucard left...
dictatorship is as much of a threat to the democratic free capitalism system as communism is
this guy made the entire trip worth it
There's a reason why the recent volumes have been trashy since he ain't the MC anymore.
I dare you to tell me you'd watch this show without her.
