>/a/ tells you an anime is great
>it exceeds your expectations
Tell us her name.
Pic related, greatest love story of all time.
>greatest love story
Not really. Don't get me wrong, their romance is great, but the peak of Steins was its clever twists and turns at every corner and its character development.

Fuck this is going to make me lose all sorts of cred.
But shit, this entire thread you know? "What anime that everyone really likes did you also really like?"
Not really breaking into unknown territory here are we?
I wouldn't say it's the greatest, but it's definitely a good one. Riding the emotional high from finishing S;G was an enjoyable experience.
Every single time /a/ hyped up something it turned out to be either straight up garbage that people gobbled up or something that was actually good, but nowhere near the level the opinions would make it seem like. And then I watched Aria.
>someone posted this on a troll "coming soon" pic right beside a Biscuit Hammer anime and a Berserk continuation
>basically yuri One Piece with cute girls
>my not be a good description for the one reading but it turns out it was the dream manga I've been waiting my whole life for
>then it gets cancelled
There is a god, but he hates my guts
/o/ was right
Eurobeat really IS that good
NO MORE SLEEP IN TOKYO
>I went into SSY ready to hate the fuck out of it
Why do people do this? I don't understand why it's so difficult for people to just have an open mind and a neutral disposition when they watch things.
Made me drop automatic for a 5spd
Because this website makes you extremely cynical
>reading Re:monster because "hey I can use a fantasy series"
>someone suggest this series saying it's as good/better than Re:monster
>even back then I didn't think Re:M was good
>the most generic summery I've ever read
>decide to say "fuck it" and read it anyway
So like Re:monster had some interesting concepts but wasted all of them just to make the MC OP as hell. MT ended up being the inverse, completely generic in set-up but executed greatly.
This, Geminar, and Nichibros were the only three series I've watched with /a/
and I enjoyed every minute of it
really curbed my cross ange withdrawal, the characters were all shit besides eruerufu but the cg looked really good and the mechs had nice ass designs and the retarded ass plot was beyond my expectations
maybe i will start code geass next but i feel like knowing the ending ruins it a little and i've seen a shit load of spoilers
Same. A lot of people say the VN is better, but the anime was a lot more of a feel trip. Still portraits can't portray the same emotions animation can.
But they aren't still portraits, the mouths move :^)
Seriously though, the vn was more detailed than the anime, which was really nice. I watched the show first, but I have to say I enjoyed the vn more, if only because it had Okabe's thoughts and the extra details.
I thought a lot of scenes in second half were done better in the anime (except chapter 9 of course).
But still, the VN excels in everything else, especially in first half.
Can't wait for them to fuck up S;G 0
