I almost dropped it for the tranny,
but I stayed for teh Rei (best girl).
Asuka can be a frustrating character because much like Shinji she was written to be a realistic character with believable human emotions and thus by default is an annoying cunt. Doesn't mean she is a bad character though.
Go choke on a dick, buddy. Asuka is the ONLY reason to watch the show. She is the ONLY reason to do anything. If you can't see it, you might as well just an hero by flipping off a fucking radio tower m80
>graduated college before 13
>fluent in Japanese but can't read Kanji
>native German speaker but hardly ever speaks it
>shows no trauma over her past until the plot conveniently requires it for drama
She's the most shallow and unrealistic character in the fucking show.
Two routes /a/
We can post toilet and tranny and have a fun silly thread,
or we can get that one Pretentious Reifag to throw the figurative chair and START insulting the shit out of each other on a personal level.
The only GOOD serious EVA threads come about when people are talking people down from killing themselves while they practically quote Shinji verbatim and we quote Misato and Rei verbatim.
I think this whole assumption that someone's favorite or least favorite character is a reflection of their assessment of the quality of the character's WRITING is inherently flawed.
Just because you like something doesn't mean you think it's GOOD, or same as you can dislike something you consciously acknowledged is BAD.
Anna Karina is a developed and well written character, that don't mean she makes a good waifu, or best girl etc...
Asuka is a fairly realistic teenage girl. "fairly realistic teenage girls' fuckin SUCK. do you remember what girls were like when you were that age? Hell, do you remember what YOU were like at that age?
Rei best evangelion
Compare her to most young female anime characters in terms of realism. There is a big difference. Generally, she acts like a girl that age in such a situation probably would.
Shallow? I dunno, depends on what you mean. Unrealistic? Not one bit.
>Compare her to most young female anime characters in terms of realism
The 90s was a time ripe of realistic female anime characters. Asuka was not one of them.
>not realistic representations of females
If you are saying that Usagi is a more realistic representation of what teenage girls are like than Asuka then all you aren't doing much other than demonstrating you had (or have) little to no contact with girls in school.
>How is Usagi not a realistic representation of teenage girls?
If you can't answer this then you're done here.
And take your unrealistic bag of cliches and tropes Asuka with you.
There is little point "arguing" with socially inept anime fans that believe Sailor Moon is comparable to what an actual human being is like. There is nothing me or anyone else can do through 4chan to convince them otherwise if their view of reality is that distorted and underdeveloped.
You're running away from any chance of having a constructive argument right here.
You lost before it even began, coward.
No wonder why you think Asuka is a good character.
Usagi is very human, in ways that make other applications of the term to other characters feel almost inadequate. From the very start, she's unmistakably but endearingly flawed. She dreams and fantasizes far beyond herself and her initial capacity for attaining them. She's abrasive, self-centered, materialistic and even manipulative and yet the growth trajectory she's set to travel couldn't be any more apparent either, and her transformation, not into a solider but as a person, is so organic and natural that you barely even notice until upon retrospective reflection.
I don't watch anime to see realistic characters. Generally, they are not realistic by default and that is kind of the point. Now I'm not a huge Evangelion fan or anything despite my defending this aspect of the writing, but the characters are written to show more human emotion and response to their situation than the typical anime, for sure.
It's just that Usagi is barely a rung or two above the bottom of the barrel of generic anime girls so it's an especially poor argument when the topic is "realistic" characters (quotes because again, anime characters are not generally intended to be realistic by the nature of the medium).
Not when they've got a disgusting ugly manface to go along with it
seriously Monogatari Second Season was so fucking boring
>Implying Asuka having a dick wouldn't make her ten times better
I knew it, Asukafags really are faggot trannyfuckers!
Enjoy your German AIDS.
Better than a gross toilet to be honest
>this is considering attractive
I'm lmaoing @ your life, toiletfags.
>has to resort to google images because he knows Rei is too beautiful in the canon show
Meanwhile, this is what Asuka looks like.
dubbed Then I watched it subbed and she became my all time favorite female character
Filenames kun still relieved as fuck his waifu doesn't look like she got run over by a truck.
Didn't make it past the first episode.
