nichijou has more outrageous action, while the boys have more "normal" action. Their personalities are both very silly.

Both good. But Nichijou can drag on at times 'cause not all the bits land. May have made me laugh harder than any other anime though.

Nichibros is more consistently funny.

I like Nichijou because it made the effort to show girls as funny and wacky, not just schoolgirls panderingshit. Don't know what the other one is because DUDE BROHUMOR LOL is a shit and overdone.

Nichibros was objectively better written and better paced. Had more universally relate-able, but original, and funny jokes/characters. Even the female cast of Nichibros were more interesting and had funnier jokes. I don't think there's anything wrong with nichijou, though. I like it, but it's not really comparable.

Daily lives of High School Boys is actually funny, Nihcijou just recycles the same skit of something mundane being animated really dramatically and then the tsukkomi yells about it

Nichibros is a much more relatable and wittier show. It takes common problems that highschool age people actually have and paints them in a self-aware absurd light. Prison school is just absurdity at 11 with no brakes. It definitely has its moments but it suffers from its noise creep in that as you grow accustomed how out there it is and in order to get your next fix the jokes have to constantly outdo each other on the weirdness level. To its credit, its very good at bringing back references to older things you may have forgotten in its long run, like joe being able to talk to ants, which was forgotten for like 50 chapters. In terms of laughing out loud, I've probably done it more in nichibros much shorter run though.

They were both pretty weak as far as comedy goes.
Nichibros win because the characters were more consistent and relatable. Regardless of gender, nichijou's character feel like they act and exist purely for the jokes they set up. Nichibro's have good characters that make a joke funnier than it deserves to be.

Both of the nichis are among the weaker good comedies out there.
They get a lot of attention because of they have SOL elements in them.
