Pretty sure Kyoani is doing an adaptation of at least the one shot.
You feel empty because the ending was shit and the movie subplot was stupid. It could have been much better if they were able to get some more good drama in like with the black haired girl's shenanigans.
Still liked it. The opening chapters are heartbreaking.
Class rep bitch reminded me of this bitch. Why are tremendous cunts always the black haired hot girl?
Nah, with a movie you get better production values plus all the shit will possibly be cut out. Though I still would have preferred to follow Koe no Katachi every week instead of Phantom World.
Theoretically, given enough budget, anything would've worked better as a TV series. Apart from maybe gag manga.

I don't think I have ever been so torn
It's not clear. The ending is super open and feels like it happened about a week too early (in the timeline of the story)
It ends with the MC about to face his past head on but ends before he actually fucking does
>So, did they end up with each other at the end or what?
nope, she moved to tokyo at the end. There was those shitty 'confession scenes' beforehand though, she tried to say she liked him but he thought she said he liked the moon or some shit because the words for moon and love in japanase are similiar.
literally don't bother with the main series.
I cant understand the X-Faces thing. Imagine see that faces in movie
It is pretty clear. They reconvene to attend a coming of age ceremony for all of their class, then they walk through the doorway together.
They are literally walking hand in hand into adulthood together.
If you liked this check out Bitter Virgin.
How the fuck someone who also wrote girls Saurus could write that is fucking weird.
Shino-chan wa Jibun no Namae ga Ienai is another good healing manga
>I cant understand the X-Faces thing.
Really? It's pretty intuitive. The people in his life he considered outsiders unable to connect or understand him and who he saw as largely responsible for his isolation and misery were marked with an X. Essentially crossed out as people.
Tired of his spaghetti spilling, the deaf chick takes what she wants.
It's officially some cafe in Athens' favorite manga
So did it eventually sink in to the class rep that she had been a terrible person?
The fact that Mashiba still liked her and some of the things he said to her seemed to indicate he thinked she was starting to grasp it.
Funnily to me it seems more like the opposite. The first chapter/one-shot is ALWAYS extremely rushed and things feel extremely forced, the way they deliver dialog, you can just tell they went over it 20 times. It's extremely easy to see once you reread series, the first chapter is always so fucking forceful
>Not the superior one by MTSP of the mother
No unfortunately the mangaka couldn't quite finish off his subplots meant to keep the manga going. Can't really blame him.
I'm reading it right now as we speak. The whole rape thing is just over the top. The rape/abortion card is played on almost every page. The blond haired bimbo got some serious issues.
I like to think this being a movie could eventually lead to a masterpiece, but I hate the fact we need to wait like half a year to see it, and meanwhile the spoiler-fags or camrip fags do as they please.
I think that's intentional, at first it's so completely OTT it's hard to really take it seriously, it's only when you get to the middle where you get presented with what she went through that it starts to sink in.
Also, the writer put the manga on hiatus for a while and when she came back, she wrote character based on herself which adds to it a lot
the older sister
I'm at chapter 29 right now and it's still as OTT as it was in earlier chapters. Don't get me wrong, I like the manga, but it shoves the rape so deep down your throat, that I can't help but laugh. Just tone it down a tad please His hand over mouth pose isn't helping either.
>why do i feel so empty
Shit endings do that to you
>why was it so good
It wasn't that good which is why I am going to assume the question you actually asked was "why are its ratings so good" to which the only answer is le MAL/Raddit. Physical disability + bullying + healing + characters being incomprehensible = manga equivalent of Oscar bait.
I AM STILL FURIOUS THAT KAWAI NEVER GOT WHAT WAS COMING TO HER
It really was. This chapter was really great back then.
>yfw this happened
No it wasn't. The anime's designs were very similar to the manga. The manga just had inconsistent art so some panels look pretty different from the anime designs. But that's why designs are adapted for animation.
Can Kyoani make her likeable? They made Ribbon likeable
