Is Gintama still doing well in Japan? I just wanna know if the anime will continue in a year's time or something. It would be great if we saw the manga completely animated.

The manga's ending pretty soon, so I'm sure they'll eventually animate the remaining arcs.
Not sure we'll ever see the joke episodes/arcs they skipped animated though. Can't see them putting anymore joke episodes in between these serious arcs, and can't see them releasing them all as OVAs like they're doing with Love Potion

They use subs for a different release. There are some extra scenes in the DVD rip and they were not subbed.
