ITT: Forced characters who ruined the series they were in
Ever seen Star Trek TNG? I imagine it's just like this
I hate you and your personality, but you're strangely cute
I think it's the hat and stockings.
>Third wheel characters exists only for getting jelly and cockblocking otp
More likely than you think.
He didn't add shit to the story. Nor did Weather Report.
It's either a Cousin Oliver, where a character is introduced to the series and becomes way too much the focus, or a Reverse Chuck Cunningham, where instead of a character disappearing, they suddenly appear.
May occasionally be the Fonz.
Fits OP's description perfectly. You can't deny it.
It actually made some amount of sense in the books, since she debuted in the second book. The anime extended the first book into an entire season, then decided to awkwardly include her in the second because she was in the books.
In the books, they also weren't officially a couple, so introducing a romantic rival made some amount of sense.
This stupid piece of trash is one of the worst offenders.
I will never not be mad.
The funny thing is that it's Aoyama who was a completely unnecessary addition to the cast. She was the token tsundere because there had to be one and that other girl who never stood a chance, but whose sole purpose of existence was to make it seem like Mashiro and Sorata might actually not become a couple. Her personal conflict was also a carbon copy of Sorata's and added nothing to the story. If that's not a forced character I don't know what is.
Rikkashitters, not even once.
I watching s1 thinking it was cute, but by season 2 where the autistic girl grew even worse i could only wish for her japanese cold to kill her to make room for the better girl.
Every single girl in the show was better than Rikka, even the fucking Chimera.
But that isn't Kumin or Sanae. Satone was worst Chuu2 but at least she had somewhat of a purpose and was originally in the LN. The same can't be said for the other two.
Rebuild wasn't a good series in the first place but she made it fucking trash
It's a good thing in the end she got rejected like the rest of the girls.
