Its time to settle this once and for all.
Which studio is better.
its cool to accept that they are not saviours of anime and there are better studios
>being able to successfully adapt a story like the gatari series
Only took like 10 years longer than it should have.
I've literally seen one SHAFT show I could even call tolerable and that was the Madoka Magica TV series. For whatever reason Shinbo was just able to set the usual antics aside long enough for them to get a decent enough story and character development in those 12 episodes, granted it didn't last into the movie trilogy. Kyoani has at least had handful of watchable shows and even Hibike Euphonium was at least tolerable last year if you completely ignored the shitposting and just stuck with the show. You can also at least sum up Kyoani as more than just two franchises that were gifted to them by big producers....well sort of.....okay not really. You can sort of sum up Kyoani as more than just two hit franchises.
one of the best selling anime ever one of the most popular
with cancerous fanbase
not succesfully adapted
Madoka was the one I watched most episodes of, I dropped it after episode 8 and do not even know if the story itself was good or if it was presented good because I was too mad at pretentious SHAFT visuals that I did not notice any of that.
Both are good, but Kyoani definitely has the better art style.
Madoka is a harem anime now?
1: Accomplishing a desired aim or result: a successful attack on the town marketing of Japanese products has been highly successful
2: Having achieved fame, wealth, or social status: a successful actor
No, but it certainly does mean it's successful
Kyoani last good show was Amagi Brilliant Park because it wasn't generic copy and past school SoL and Beyond the Boundary could've been good if the ending didn't suck ass. At least Full Metal Panic is getting another season because that's the only reason why I even consider them a decent studio and comparing them to Shaft is joke.
>Madoka is straight up bad.
I'm convinced everyone who posts this line either is NEW and wasn't here in 2010 when Madoka was airing, or is simply trolling.
The only anime that made these boards explode more then Madoka was probably Code Geass; and I'm not sure which was bigger around here.
How could one post be so wrong? FMP is garbage compared to Kyoani's real masterpieces. Amagi and KnK are some of their worst anime, along with Phantom World, Chuunibyou and their Key shit.
Same face isn't a criticism if the face is high quality.
>Studio 'X' Vs. Studio 'Y'
Well, it happened. This board is /v/ now. Friendly reminder liking Kyoani is an essential part of the /a/ party line that separates it from the "lol moe is killing anime i actually hate anime btw MANime for the win cowboy bebop is a masterpiece" rest of the internet anime fandom, and if you disagree you're a faggot.
not defending Shaft nor Kyoani because both of them are always producing Moe stuffs. Manime are mostly produced by Madhouse, IG, Sunrise, and Bones.
Even i don't like Moe, i don't hate Kyoani. Because at least they has high production value. Shaft on the other hand, always hacks their products with handful of CGI, Fan services & traced photos, Imo.
Not that I give shit about KyoAni but they win by default because I can't stand the gatari series and the god awful fanbase that comes with it. Overrated harem shit made for turbo autist.
KyoAni should stop trying to advertise for their shitty publication department and just go back to adaptations
FMP, Keyshit, K-On and Nichijou all did relatively well
>PA Works' rushed Angel Beats ending that made absolutely no sense
>JC Staff fucking over Little Busters
>I don't realize that comparing studios outside of SHAFT and KyoAni is absolutely pointless because literally everyone from directors to investors jump between companies.
Key works aren't good without KyoAni's touch, and KyoAni wasn't getting a fair share. Angel Beats, Little Busters, and Charlotte proved this.
It was much more profitable for them to work on their own IP (Chuu2 in this case) than to accept a licensing deal with Key. It's simple business.
>This board is /v/ now
What are you saying? Do you know how much courage does it takes call on kyoani with all their animation prowess? Isn't that a difficult challenge? How come they are /v/? Or is that just your go-to insult?
