What the fuck happened? The last few episodes have been a complete trainwreck
Well it's by the director of Saekano and Oreshura and frankly he doesn't seem very good at this whole thing. I might be mistaken but this seems like the first time he's had to work on something like this and not just some total throwaway fanservice show.
Author of picrelated. He draw fuckin awesome and stylish but can't write. He's worse than Oh!Great
parallel dimension guy killed real life guy because reasons, i didn't even try to understand, those 2 episodes were trash and the last one was even worse.
i'm still holding on to my hopes that the show will unshit itself
That whole arc was a mess. Why can't we just have some, I dunno, character development? Kyoma and Miras relationship hasn't changed in the slightest. Fuck that though, bring in the niggers.
Still better than musaigen
this season is full of shit
Well yeah oh!great really build character good, develop them good, write good....SUDDENLY ride starts here right now.
But Dimension W guy is horrible. Only good part in DtB manga is about how Hei died thousand times at war, but everytime Amber used her ability to save him.
Just focus on the robutt bullying and ignore everything else.
i made this in response to that webm but the thread 404'd
Disappointment of the season.
Great 1st episode and then everything got rushed beyond belief. It's a complete clusterfuck right now.
Anyone who didn't read the Manga doesn't know what the fuck is going on.
At least Mira is pretty cute though.
Iwahara can't write for his life.
His DtB sequel was the only somewhat decent thing he made and that's mostly because it was only 4 volumes long and following an already established universe.
Not a meme, but the show is still good
Funimation picks their shows almost entirely by looks, since they know that's what how the typical anime fan chooses what to watch. The two main things they look for are either less cartoony, more "realistic" character designs, or lots of boobservice.
>The last few episodes have been a complete trainwreck
wut? has been really boring, too many characters, too many shit about numbers that I don't even care about, shit, it has nice design and background but they're not doing anything with it really
The only reason to watch this show is Mira.
>japanese samurai throws bladed fan
Time to just post the webm again.
Why does it seem like manga Kyouma is infinitely better than anime Kyouma?
Even in the first page of the manga, he has far more expression than I've ever seen from him in the anime.
Finally! I've been trying to catch this thread all day. Now that I've got you right where I want you:
Autist here. What do these eyes convey? Is she mad at him?
Hey at least we got some forced exposition in the form of "guys he's dark and jaded because of this dead person. Don't worry, though, he has a sister he drops his wall for." Fuck it was terrible.
>Say it's time to accept Miyabi's death and move on
>Won't let him fuck other girls.
I wonder why, Tsubaki.
Holy shit, what a cutie.
That feeling no Toyota ever
What's her name and how old is she?
Sad truth. It started very promising but last ep about some random indian (?) was too much. It's plain boring now, I don't fucking care about some indians or ghosts from parallel dimension.
>the z axis doesn't exist it's just in the negative x and y axis'
Is this a short arc? It seems it'll be shit.
Let it be done with already.
Lwai is annoying as fuck, hope he gets brutally murdered for prosperity.
I wouldn't call the story bad, but holy shit that mansion arc was rushed.
I think it even removed a couple of characters?
It's too bad, because the source seems really, really nice. Fuck that director.
>thinks Iwahara Yuji wrote Darker than Black
>doesn't understand mangaka are payed to adapt shitty anime stories
>compares the guy to Oh Great! even though that's like comparing a hand grenade to a ICBM
Seasonalfags are horrible.
He didn't even write that, he had almost no input. It was written by Okamura Tensai idiot.
I figured Gasoline Batman's car was from James Bond
I wonder if that's the only YOLT reference, if it is one at all. If not it's still a cool fucking car to have in there, like Evangelion with the Alpine a310
maybe as a waifu but not really as a character. She's a lot better than Kyoma but her only complexity, the desire to be seen as a human, falls pretty flat because there's not an obvious reason for it and it doesn't really matter insofar as the rest of the plot is so far concerned. Most of the time it's just played as a gimmick to give Mabuchi something to be gruff about when they're on screen together.
It'd be a lot better if they had some time to actually fucking develop. The relationship between both MCs has been completely stalled the entire time to make room for shit no one wants to see. Imagine if the comfy episode about a genki nigger robot had been a comfy episode about Mira and Kyoma chilling instead. Seemed like a pretty good opening for them to bond over Kyoma's dead whatever.
I blame Manga format for forcing shitty "monster/ark of the week" episodic writing limiting potential of the story, instead of following the first episode thrill with continous suspense and tempo of main story development.
Its like you start reading Philip K Dick novel, and then after intetroducing the interesting premise and leaving a hook author says "ok, thats enougth. Lets switch to some unrelated side stories and sol".
Doing more with how tapping into Dimension W can result in dimensional disasters sounds alright on paper, but I couldn't bring myself to give a shit about the multidimensional ghost love story. I guess something about this show just doesn't resonate with me since I find myself caring less and less each week.
>people actually hate the ghost arc
>and, sadly, they're right to
What a waste of potential. The entire premise of it sounded so nice, and ghost fucking with electronics is sort of a trope, so I was hoping to see how it would affect Mira. That should have never been a 2 episode deal. Just once would have been enough, the second episode introduced so much stupid shit that it made it completely uninteresting to watch unfold.
I mean, the pathos of alternate dimensions containing loved ones and functioning as a source of supernatural power at the cost of your humanity/life/some kind of catastrophe is literally the entire point of Darker Than Black, which did it much better and with a lot more nuance.
You will never facefuck a kneeling Mira.
Feels absolutely asinine.
Also, how many children does Loser have?
That stupid lecture they put at the beginning of almost every episode is so unnecessary. They don't even focus on the right things, you'd think constant surveillance would be a big deal but they hardly focus on that.
Ironically Detective Conan had "mystery murders on Hotel near the lake that shredded in FOG" episode right this season. And it was better.
His ghost self thought the real him was a coward that ran away instead of saving his friends and that their ghost selves were his girlfriend using the numbers to create a fake world where everyone lived.
In reality his real self sacrificed his friends in order to save his girlfriend and the numbers created the world based on his and his girlfriends regret over sacrificing their friends to do it.
RIP in pieces.
Hahaha, no you fucking cunt. Hope your milk expires you plebeian.
No domestic servant/work partner/on time rent ever.
I want a Mira so bad.
>evil Steve Jobs on the moon
You'll never have to fight for next month's rent ever again.
Tenet of the year, all years. Won't even still your food either, because A. she's a robot and B. a good person, I mean robot.
Latest episodes are the best so far, the studio is actually taking time with the episodic arcs now instead of rushing them complete in 20 minutes.
And since the arcs are multi-part now the wait for each new episode is harder than it was in the beginning.
How do you make a move on her without being killed?
What part of it was good? The part where they ask you to care about shitload of random characters you don't know nothing about or the part where they justify the mess of a story without even letting the viewer try to solve the case with plot armor tier bullshit that will be clearly used by the MC in the future to save the world?
Even detective conan makes me care more about the daily dead fodder character.
Big bad soldier still defers to sister. Cute!
Still hot, mate. Age is just a number.
Is she crazy? She just a little possessive of her brother, but what else?
What are Adult Yui and Manly Ema doing here?
The first episode was great but that's about it. Then they started squeezing volumes into single episodes and they cut a lot of shit that made Kyouma one of those cool chill dudes. The anime's pacing just doesn't feel nice at all. Also, they toned down the Mira abuse by a lot and I will never forgive them for making that decision!
I don't hate the anime but it's quite painful to watch it after catching up with the entire manga.
Did anyone make a stitch after she get her boob job?
Cutest robot maiden.
If I recall his gf was turned into Mira's brain, or served a vital role in making it.
Coils probably resulted in Grendel getting rip and probably gave Kyoma some PTSD or some shit.
After all Easter Island looks very similar to ground zero for Kyoma's coil incident, probably is.
