As far as the anime is concerned, Nadeko hasn't shown up again after being "saved" so there's that to consider. Saved as in saved from their own delusions, which didn't happen in Nadeko Snake, but in Nadeko Medusa. Her character arc hasn't properly been rounded off yet in that regard.

At it's core though, it's just people being unable to seperate finding a character entertaining and a character being poor waifu material. Contrary to what people say about "being interesting having nothing to do with it", the same people only apply this logic to Snake as far as I can tell. When ranking characters people seem to take both into account, except for Snake where you're not allowed to acknowledge that you may have found her screentime entertaining for some reason.

Ultimately Snakefags should just stop getting so easily triggered over people trying to shit on a character you like and just ignore the obvious bait, it happens more with Snake partly because you guys sperg out over it so much every single time. I'm pretty sure that every girl (bar Snail?) gets the same sorta thing yet it doesn't result in that level of response.
