I mean seriously he was the "fastest in the universe" they could have just saved him for later and made him real, but instead they just made him trash for goku to pick up
>tfw TFS is so much better than the original you can't watch the original anymore but no one will watch TFS with you because the first several episodes aren't any good because the guys were still figuring their shit out and now the latest episodes aren't as good either because there aren't as many jokes to mine out of the Cell Saga
He was "the fastest in the universe" - besides Ginyu - and Freeza - and King Cold, etc. The main issue there is that his "fastest in the universe title was completely meaningless, just making him slightly faster than Recoom and Butter, but still too slow to be able to do anything against someone actually significantly faster than them.
I know it isn't exactly related to this thread but how does yugioh abridged manage to remain still funny despite having 15 more episodes than DBZ abridged? is it because yugioh lends itself for funnier crap or because the dude doesn't give a damn whether the plot is slightly coherent
>TFS is better than the original.
>Except for all of these TFS episodes that really suck
Going back to YGOA is hard because a lot, and I mean a lot, of jokes are really fucking dated.
There are a lot of jokes to make out the cell saga though; it's the worst written of the bunch. Their problem is in characterization. They were more original with the humor and particularly the banter they did during namek. Here, a lot of the villains are kinda just too dull and samey.
The androids were enjoyable, as was the first Cell (mainly due to his voice, though.)
>Let's answer your question with another question.
>WANNA SEE ME DRINKTHISGUY?!
This wasn't exactly HAHA worthy but I loved this scene they did:
There are so many great throwaway lines and digs at the bizarre fucked-up nature of the DBZ world.
>Now this is going to sound racist, but this is what happens when you elect a DOG as king.
Does most of the AMV Hell series count?
Otherwise, Matt Page's work is pretty solid:
As is Nostromo's:
And I have a soft spot for dance themed AMVs:
this motherfucker right here should be one of the most dangerous monsters on the planet
AMV Hell does not count, I personally hate them but I excuse them most of the time.
And all of these are exactly what I hate in AMVs, sure, they can edit a bit and the editing is synced with the music, but it still is pretentious and unnecessary editing just for the sake of it.
I don't see the point in it and still belive that 99% of AMV creators are 12 year old linkin park kids.
The last 1% is the ones that actually keep this up after they get older and try to make mature content for intelligent and grown up individuals such as themselves.
And fandubs are trash without any room for arguing.
I'm especially baffled that the cast of Ghost in the Shell re-enacting the Robots conversation from Sealab is apparently
>pretentious and unnecessary editing just for the sake of it.
It's funny. You know, that thing, humor? A subset of fun? There's more to enjoying anime than high-quality WEBMs of a perverted high schooler peeling a band-aid off a vampire's vagina.
That was just his title. Titles are meaningless. How can he be the fastest when aliens exist than can do instant transmission? He was already beaten by an entire alien race, and they don't even train for it.
He's "the fastest in the universe" just like mr.satan is the "strongest in the universe".
Simple as that.
>the latest episodes aren't as good either because there aren't as many jokes to mine out of the Cell Saga
That's not the problem. The problem is that they just aren't that funny and it's starting to show with both DBZ and Hellsing.
They had exactly one good Hellsing joke and they used it in the first episode.
>INTEGRA: Whoever’s behind these vampire attacks... it has to be some kind of large organized group.
>ALUCARD: Like the Nazis?
>INTEGRA: That would be retarded.
>THE MAJOR: Gentlemen… ve… are NAZIS!
Was Perfect Cell's introduction still their most recent episode? I know they got hit with some takedown shit, but is that really still the most recent episode? Because I just saw a 'breakdown!' of said episode come out within the last week, and...those usually come out an episode or two after the new one.
