If you're one of those guys that drops historical flicks because of tiny inaccuracies then you'll propably not like it.
If you can accept the premise and just see it as any other activity characters do in these kind of shows it's pretty enjoyable, although fairly predictable.

It's basically a sports anime, but if you know tanks then you can actually appreciate how things went very well.

Plus I think they wanted to make a bloody, gory, painful tank-combat anime then realized it wouldn't sell, so sports anime. Then cute girls. Weapons of war, cute girls, and skirts!

TL;DR no because its story, while funky as hell, isn't too bad when you stop to think about it though the practical logistics bug the hell out of me. Plus cute girls.

Honestly, I came in expecting something on the (low, low) level of Kancolle or Strike Witches. And I was pleasantly surprised.

Like, they acknowledge cute girls driving tanks is stupid, make it an entire part of the setting, and roll with it from the upper deck of a carrier. Which was probably the right move.

The fact it then immediatly kicked into a tournament arc I wasn't so hot about, but overall, it was a pretty nice ride.

I tried to watch it, and physically couldn't stand it after the first episode of "let me stabilize the sniper's aim by showing my head in her crotch". The first one was the worst though, between the unexplained "no pants allowed" policy, the MC being terrible in five different ways... But my favorite scene was how a cart rolling at like, 4mph veered sideways because of some obstacle on the road, which caused some other girl to be violently tossed down the soft grass at the side of the road, which made her stomach bleed profusely. That seriously was on the level of that gif of that trolley crashing into that eighties glam rock group's stage.

I just could not give a fuck.

Girls und Panzer is good fun though.

I dunno, it always felt to me like they were kicking around ridiculous ideas for shows they'd like to do, and someone said "we like tanks, right, and we like cute anime girls, right, so what we do is we make an anime about cute girls fighting in tanks!" and that was the most promising idea they had. Yes it is. But that's not a bad thing. I was esceptical at first too and the first 2 episodes are kind of slow but once it picks up there's no stopping it.
