>mfw finally read Berserk and am all caught up
How do you guys cope with the months without an update?
>The same way I cope with the hundreds of other manga I read or have read that are on hiatus or have dead scans?
But none of those manga are as visually stunning or as engaging as Berserk. That's my biggest problem, I actually feel a bit empty.
Is the problem with the arc itself, or the fact that it took 5 years to end? Because I actually liked it, my biggest problem was all the Griffith shit in between. It's like "fuck you, I know the world collectively sucks his dick, I don't need to see most of this shit".
Griffith did nothing wrong
Being into gekiga means perpetual suffering
Skull Knight accidentally cut open a portal through the Indian King's Cthulhu body to, I assume, one of the other planes where magic shit is more powerful. Griffith wanted it to happen and seems to have some how seized control of the mundane world and magical planes becoming closer to shape the new world to his whim.
Just finish it, you're like 90% done anyway
About that, how long will Berserk be pushed back now that a new Idolm@ster game is going to come out?
Why was Guts such a huge edgelord during Black Swordsman Arc? He wasn't edgy after the Eclipse, what made him act that way?
Being on his own, fighting demons and ghosts night after night wore on him. He was basically in full on muder hobo mode for years without anyone to socialize with and under huge stress. It just caught up with him.
Besides, shit like the page OP's image is from sort of hint it's largely an act to protect himself from being hurt by people again, again.
>He wasn't edgy after the Eclipse
Nigger what? He spent the entire time he was away from Casca by himself, tracking down apostles and not getting any sleep. Guts was very edgy up until halfway through Conviction
the first snake apostle guy?
it was the first part of the story before the golden age or anything about guts was full fleshed out
and hes had some overboard murderous moments i dont think its any different
stress takes a toll on people and for guys even more so, him lashing out on a monsters severed head is nothing too out of character imho
>out of character
How, exactly? Guts was a solitary edgelord for like 15 years of his life, it took him some time to warm up to the Hawks, and then he had it all violently torn away from him on top of getting cursed and having the love of his life turn into a potato. Maybe Puck loosened him up a bit, but Guts had no regard for other human life until after Conviction.
I never once saw /a/ talking about Bastard.
I've been a Berserkfag for 10 years now. You just end up transcending suffering.
I have to wonder who's going to be the one to bite it next to get Guts back on track to face Griffith. Isidro wouldn't have a lot of emotional impact, Casca would be too fucked up (I guess that rules out Farnese as well).
I just read the series and can't even remember what the decapitated head thing you're talking about is. When was it?
ahh my bad
even that though, it was pretty clear Guts was good at showing no remorse for human life for quite some time after the eclipse
it certainly crept back up on him after pucks appearance though
