New Kiznaiver CM is out.
Visuals look much better than Trigger's usual, music was unexpectedly nice and the VAs seem to suit their characters.
Still going to go in with no expectations because of obvious reasons, but it looks interesting enough.
I don't see any "QUALITY", there's not much wrong with the anatomy.
Something will happen to this girl, I'm 100% sure of it
Nothing wrong with anything about this.
But what does it matter you're already trolling a show with only a 20 second PV out.
I want this to somehow become Trigger's Evangelion. It seems more mature than KLK by these previews, and that's a good thing, because KLK was the worst type of slapstick. I hope they just leave the "hilarious" terrible animation to Imaishi and the Inferno Cop guy.
It's gonna be one of the more memorable anime of 2016. And that's not even because it's made by Trigger.
Their defining show, where it puts them on the map. It's just wishful thinking but when they first started producing their own shows, I wanted them to mirror Gainax's rise.
I probably watch more comedy shows than you do, but KLK was just poor shit.
Because men gives their characters complex human emotions such as honor.loyalti or rationality.Women have the cognitive development of a cockroach so obviously they wouldn't be able to comprehend them.
Her characters feel more natural, like how you wouldn't see a person in real life being an over-the-top tsundere. Even so, that wasn't what I was trying to go on. In shows like IBO and WIXOSS, you can see the characters interacting and talking to each other like you would see comrades talk to each other. You can feel a sense of camaraderie. She definitely has problems with letting ideas fall apart in the end among other problems but her character interaction is fine.
>What should I do Orga?
>Wah I'm so useless
>TEKKADAN IS FAMILY!
>We're human debris
>Her characters feel more natural
>IBO and WIXOSS
best character crystallized first
mc was a retard
shit was awful
>this has Okada
>Train titans has Okouchi
Can't wait for next season.
MC and his soft serve ice cream hair and his adorable Yuki Kaji voice are perfect. I will love him no matter how garbage this show is.
>Characters are all caricatures with a single defining trait mixed with copious amount of melodrama
It's Okada alright, since Aniplex is shilling it non stop it will sell decently as well.
>Boom Boom Satellites and Miwa character design
Fuck, I have to watch this shit now and it sound like typical Okada shit too
>I don't know myself
Anime really is fucking shit when craplords like okada or okouchi are allowed to write original.
M3 is an ironic trainwreck, retard
If repeating the same generic lines like "I'm useless", "I need to be stronger" over and over again and also not actually having character interaction beyond "KUDELIA SUGOI" counts, sure.
And it's the same in all her other shows too even if she's not heavily involved in IBO.
remember the last time okado was doing 2 shows at once
what's wrong with divine gate?
Let's not pretend the latest episode doesn't exist.
Every season needs at least one Aniplex hype show that really isn't all that good but has this popular voice actor or light novel writer and something resembling a budget so people watch it anyway. This is just kind of one of the reasons anime is so shit now, it's less about making good shows so much as convincing the lowest common denominator moron that they're good.
What's with them pushing all these overly melodramatic shows that seem aimed at edgy teenagers lately. Is this the post Madoka business strategy or just what otaku want nowadays?
Wow this is literally gonna be KlK2.0.
Can't wait for all the shitposting of "TRIGGER SAVING ANIME AGAIN"
Okada's dark melodramas like Wixoss and M3 don't seem to sell all that much, the ones with Nagai seem to be very popular.
If this did well, it will probably be due to the strengths of the other elements.
Why? Trigger is Imaishi's vision, his child. He kinda remind me of old Gainax where they made anime that influenced them growing up, made anime they would have liked to watch when they were children, and more importantly made anime for themselves: Kill La Kill is a notable example, opinions aside, Kill La Kill is a love letter of sorts to -Sukeban Deka, Project A-Ko, and some of Go Nagi bleedthrough, and others- 70s anime, basically.
I doubt Imaishi want to make the next Evangelion - if you want that Madoka Magica exist. If you look at Imaishi repertiore you can tell he carry Gainax philosophy with him.
Although Imaishi is Anno protege; I personally find it commendable of Imaishi that he is not trying to mirror Anno success nor walking in his footsteps. Imaishi utilize the experience gained from being employed at Gainax unto Trigger.
None of Trigger's core staff are working on this. This is just angsty anime #15461 with Triger visuals.
They opened a new studio so it's an opportunity to try something different for Trigger.
>Yuki Kaji pronouncing it "KIZUNA IIBA" like he's trying to fool us into thinking it's about bond when it's really about emotional wounds and unnecessary drama
>Misaki Kuno loli won't even get screentime
>director is literally who
TRIGGER IS FINISHED
F U C K O K A D A
>Their defining show, where it puts them on the map.
What validate something as defining is time. Anno nor Gainax weren't aware of the impact Evangelion would have on the industry and as a medium. They weren't concern with that mentality either.
Trigger defining anime may not be the next Evangelion, it maybe the next romcom like Ranma 1/2, or slice of life like Aria, or space opera like Legend of the Galactic Heroes.
I weren't directly referring to Kiznaiver. The anon I replied to said he wanted this to be Trigger's Evangelion. And Imaisi is Trigger's co-founder.
Didn't mean for the confusion.
Is JJ ABRAMS flare going to be Trigger's trademark?
The show has action elements they haven't revealed yet. They don't exactly just share pain, they share their wounds. As in if they get shot they don't die because their wound is divided among all the Kiznaivers.
The fuck am I supposed to take away from this other then it's set in a high-school
Am I the only one here who thinks this is gonna be an absolute trainwreck?
is this main girl as a loli?
Is most likely the Satsuki/Rei love child
But the website describes her as not having human kindness and being even more emotionless than MC, so we have a literal sociopath here. MC won't be winning anything either
The director comments about Noriko make it seem a bit different; she is expressionless but he said she talks a lot and seems to enjoy makeing fun of people.
>BOOM BOOM Satellites
OP of the season confirmed atleast
They will be uploading new voice samples every day.
New CM every week.
Aniplex machine begins.
If there's one thing Aniplex is probably never doing it's toning it down since they've been going steady for nearly 3 years at this point with their just drown out all other shows by sheer volume, outspending and advertising strategy.
They're a Sony company and thus have the same fixation with trying to be number one, spending money to establish themselves as number one in advertising, bragging about being number one and again just drowning out the competition if necessary. Pretty much most of the core otakudom buys into their systems and advertising machine by now and they seem to be the first choice for every group looking to have an adaptation done since they can vastly out-advertise the competition and so they just have no reason but to keep charging straight ahead.
I expect most of the big titles that get a ton of advertising consideration and reception to be Aniplex ones yet again for like the 5th year in a row and they could always bust out another Fate, Monogatari or big budget noitaminA series around Fall or Winter again if their Spring and Summer season of originals bomb again like they did last year.
The Show looks great but it seems it will be very animeish and i don't really like that but whatever. The guy is a Kamina i fucking knew it. Hope he dies in the first episodes
Shaft reference? Trigger confirmed for bros.
>There is more to the Kiznaiver System than just sharing their wounds but they won’t reveal it until a later date.
>This has been “on the works” since Kill la Kill but mostly as a “something that was going to happen”; Kobayashi knew he was working on it but the fact that he was going to debut as a series director didn’t truly hit him until he saw the countdown on Trigger’s site
>Kobayashi thinks that it’s a unique work that is Trigger without being Trigger-like.
>That the main theme and focus is the struggle of human communication and human interaction and Kobayashi wants to uncover what truly binds people together.
>As the previous interview said, the show originally had straightforward battle action as the main dish. However, the director decided that the camera should focus on the characters rather than the action.
Kobayashi said that this change happened because the show has eight main characters and too much focus on the action would have led to little time to properly develop all of them. He wants an ensemble cast drama that properly showcases the "inner workings of the soul” of every protagonist.
>The show still has action scenes but the focus has changed from typical “battle action” to a “thriller” kind of story, the excitement will come from the characters desperate struggle for survival and their psychological state.
Sushio was very supportive of Yoneyama taking the role of character designer; he thought she powered-up a lot in recent years and that it was a perfect opportunity for her.
Yoneyama had fun designing the characters; she worked with Miwa Shirow’s originals and had suggestions from the director and Shigeto Koyama.
Sushio is helping Yoneyama with Kiznaiver’s production; he is working as general animation supervisor and doing key animation. “I’m overseeing the characters’ movements in order to correct and improve them and keep up the general quality of the show.“
Sushio’s involvement in Kiznaiver came from Yoneyama’s direct request. She went straight to him and asked for his help; Sushio says he couldn’t refuse because he found Yoneyama a great help through Kill la Kill as she was basically in charge of Satsuki. Sushio also found the project interesting and really liked the characters so he is having a lot of fun.
As for which characters from Kiznaiver they enjoy drawing; Yoneyama says that the most expressive characters like Tenga, Chidori and Nico are very fun to draw and that they’re the most popular among the animators but that she herself really likes characters that require more a nuanced and delicate touch such as Noriko and Katsuhira; she compares them to Satsuki in KLK. Sushio says that Tenga is a lot of fun, but he says he enjoys drawing them all and that his main objective is to be able to keep keep the art consistent while also making it lively and preventing it from looking too stiff. Yoneyama says that Sushio is complimenting her job and that they’re trying to make the characters on-model without being too restrictive on the animators.
Haikyuu/Robotic Notes/Blood Lad/Classroom Criris/Death Parade/Diabolik Lovers.
> let's shoehorn an overly-quicky girl that would never exist in real life
I want this meme to end.
It's like thy are not even trying compared to Kabaneri.
Why does Trigger INTENTIONALLY try to make trainwrecks? It ruins it if it's on purpose rather than being a trainwreck because the studio did not know what the fuck they were doing.
Like with Ninja Slayer, if anyone remembers that turd.
what did she mean by this?
They do exist anon, and even the kind of fashion she is wearing has a name which I can't remember right now
looks like it's animated by the same people who animated webm related.
