What headphones/speakers do you listen to your anime with, /a/?
Had to replace the pads a couple times, over the years, but they still work pretty great. I don't care for the "wings" or whatever they call them that stabilize the headphones, but I can't really complain about the sound. And I got them for a steal at $100 brand new.
Sennheiser HD700 and HD650 headphones coupled with a DAC + tube amp, plus Bose Companion 20 speakers. On the go I use a pair of wireless Beats Studio V2, not exactly hi-fi stuff but the sound quality is acceptable and the comfort plus noise cancellation are great for listening and watching on the commute.
Used to have Sennheiser HD280 and then got ATH m50x when those died on me.
Both are pretty good for the price. Would buy again although when this pair finally gives out I think I'll try to upgrade.
I use earbuds. Earphones make you look like self-harming retards.
Some cheap-ass headphones I got from Wal-Mart for 19.99 US dollars.
I actually really like the K701's though, sound great with pretty much anything, only time I don't really like them that much is if I'm listening to folk music where I'd prefer a slightly warmer sound instead of a clinical sterile sound.
Headphones - Bose QC15
Comp Speakers - Logitech Z623 by THX
TV Speakers - JBL SB300
Dynaudio hi end book shelf speakers with Yamaha sub
HD600 and HD 555 headphones
All powered by a Denon receiver and shown on a panasonic 50" plasma.
hifiman re400, i can't stand the way regular headphones feel. iems are so much nicer to me
i use comply foam tips (regular mediums also blue)
just use onboard audio right now
How would you say the 2Fs are? I've had a pair of 2.1 pre-fazor for a couple years now and love them, but the left driver recently shit the bed.
I've heard that all new replacements at being fazor'd and that the sound signature is quite different from the earlier models, so I'm a little nervous about not liking them when they come back.
Currently using pic related (normally my portable phones).
My nigga. The Bifrost/Lyr setup is amazing.
Haha kek. I'm not that anon but I re-read what he posted "I use earbuds. Earphones make you look like self-harming retards."
That anon meant to say he like to use earpods than IEMs that self-harm.
Don't trust /g/. They are terrible at recommending what headphones an /a/non requires such as headphones with prominent female vocals.
If you go to /hpg/ be prepared to get buzzworded with audiophile lingo at you.
Well if you need recommendations put in /hpg/s template you need headphones for anime and I might help you.
>mfw Koito is just Maki with headphones
A Philips O'Neill Cruz mint that I bought because it looked cool. It broke with 1 month of use (why I spent $22 on this shit?) and now I'm using the laptop speakers instead (I'll search for a good one this time).
Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro 250Ohm
also; Fiio E10 as AMP
can't find any of my animu/headphone images unfortunately, so have this instead
Solely for anime Tbh.
Got these about a month ago. Switched the pads out to some velour ones.
These are good for electronic music too right? And other variety music genres? But I want to know if they good with electronic music because that's what I listen to, like j-core
Well I did go off topic for little bit because I just want to buy them for music if they are good for my music.
Some random yamaha amp with some old as shit Eltax 5.1 surround sound system and two 17" subwoofers
For headphones I use either my Logitech G930's or Sony MDRXB450
i'm sorry i need them to yell at people to not stand in the fire
They are very good if you want to cover a lot of genres, but not if you mainly listen to electronic music though. I'd choose the HD600 or HD650 if you still want a Sennheiser headphone for j-core and the like.
Beyer 880 with a cheap chinese DAC setup.
They look like absolute shit but they have decent sound for the price and a retractable microphone.
If you've the cash. Get Stax 2170 right now. If you don't then the HD600 is the best and I'm not kidding. I don't think you need an amp, you could like buy the headphones first and save up later for a amp+dac. If you can't afford both of these then try the VSD5 IEMs. They're just like HD800 except it's boomier. http://pastebin.com/c0i64vVg
I don't recommend the CD900ST but it's just there in the list when I don't like using the Etymotic earphone. And both are used for closed in listening.
Thanks! Finally I got a proper answer for my listening!
No problem. I also changed a few things in the link and now I feel like VSD5s are gonna go like hotcakes the same way the SHP9500 did.
But the problem with the VSD5s are that the cords/wires could break easily and it sounds very bright.
This audiophile thing is very subjective to all ears and I'm afraid the VSD5 could sound like it has a v-shaped sound signature to it. But I honestly think it's like a mini HD800 except boomier.
You're supposed to use these inside. Outside use earphones (I like these ones: http://www.amazon.com/JBL-E10-Red-Headphones-JBL-Quality/dp/B00LT07CU6/ref=sr_1_5?s=aht&srs=2529692011&ie=UTF8&qid=1455379358&sr=1-5&keywords=JBL+earbuds ).
pull it behind your ears
generally headphones are not for outside use unless you have a device or amp specifically for that purpose, in which case you just wear them around your neck, but either way you look stupid.
These ones. Don't know shit about headphones so I can't really comment.
It was a fucking steal for 80$ canadian.
