Sennheiser HD700 and HD650 headphones coupled with a DAC + tube amp, plus Bose Companion 20 speakers. On the go I use a pair of wireless Beats Studio V2, not exactly hi-fi stuff but the sound quality is acceptable and the comfort plus noise cancellation are great for listening and watching on the commute.

m50s with shure velour replacement pads. The replacement pads were the best thing i've done in awhile, I wear them 14 hours a day comfortably no problem.

I don't think you need an amp, you could like buy the headphones first and save up later for a amp+dac. But the problem with the VSD5s are that the cords/wires could break easily and it sounds very bright.
