Considering you get awful scans/scanlations black/white, no animation, lack of in-between events and character progression because Kishi is a hack-writer, lack of VA, soundtrack etc.

Do you really consider the manga better? Just because it's first doesn't make it better. the only thing censored was Kakashi slicing off some no-name's hands, which was more than likely a retcon, because it's completely out of character.

You can always skip the filler. But some filler is good. They gave most supporting characters an added backstory.

Excellent taste. The first Bleach OP had an excellent, catchy song that not only fit the mood of the series and the scenes for the minute and a half intro, the design of the characters and the style is superb. It's really incredible. Beyond the nostalgia (which boosts it to being best OP of all time), it shows just what Bleach used to be like; a character based show with some detective/action going on with cool friends, a big cast and a melancholy love story. It was Yu Yu Hakusho, but instead of it being a ROMCOM made by Rumiko, it was 100% style made by an aspiring fashion artist. And it looked amazing and was FUN to read. I miss those times and I think one of the reasons Bleach got so popular in the fist place was because the anime got SUCH a good opening track. Then the 2nd OP came in and solidified it as a shonen worth watching (with a fuckhuge cast, holy shit).

Also, kudos to everyone who loves the OP of Yu Yu Hakusho. That is a damn fine intro.

If we wanna discuss Kubo's fight scenes then go read the first chapter. It does a great job of showing all of his talents in a single chapterlike it should. I can't really agree about bottom right panel, it's a guy getting his head stepped on.
Talking about manga vs anime as a whole, it's all about what each can offer and what people like. Good manga is about many small details adding up to a great experience. Little things like extra lines of text or the way the artist did the line art for a particular scene. Manga allows a lot of room for expression because the whole thing usually stems from one person, minus assistants and sources. Anime is more about getting everything in one big package all in one go. You're blasted with all the parts of an anime at the same time and it means that less individual things get to stand out. Anime can't maintain certain elements of a scene as well as a manga 9/10 times. It also loses some of it's individuality because it's made by so many people
In the end it really comes down to what does it for you, but i think manga does a better job of giving you the information you need to truly enjoy the content.
