I enjoyed it but it's a bit all over the place, the manga just sucks yujiros dick to ludicrous proportions.

It's bretty cool
It makes decent sense; nobody on the fighters' level has used weapons, much less used obscure ones and/or effectively. Dorian ditched his stuff and got smashed by Doppo and Retsu, Speck lost pretty easily to Hanayama, Doyle lost to everyone, and Yanagi got demolished by pre-buff Motobe.

99% chance we'll see what Motobe was doing up on the mountain to train later on, given that a lot of people are pissed and don't understand that he can get stronger.

Sidenote: Musashi doesn't even know what Motobe has in store for him. He tells Yuujiro that Motobe's likely one of the strongest fighters of this era. When Yuujiro describes the shit that Motobe has up his sleeves, Musashi mentions that they didn't usually use that stuff even when he was alive (smoke bombs, kusarigama, etc). It'll definitely be an interesting fight: ninja vs samurai.

there's something about this manga's style that i really like even though it has so much q u a l i t y

like that's what makes it great, the weird proportions, perspective, and anatomy all make it great.

you could argue that 1 character in the 3rd series is powerlevel-y (anime ends at the end of 1st series), but not really
we're 96 chapters deep into the 4th series and it still doesn't have that kind of idea going for it at all

where are you guys reading this? i can only find up to chapter 72.

That is because we've only scanlated up to 72. The rest of the chapters can be found in random places online. The Korean scans always come out before anything else, so that's the general go-to.

Not what happened. Some of his friends taught him the method of how to increase the speed of a certain punch he liked to use. He kept increasing it outside of their watch, and tried using it at a speed he'd never attempted before in the hardest fight of his life. His arm hit the sound barrier and ripped itself apart before he even hit the enemy. The enemy then ripped the destroyed arm off with its teeth.

Read the series, it's worth it.
