>Final Fantasy being spoken about over Dragon Quest
Now the only type of shooting games I think he could be talking about is bullet hell sort of games, or Type Zero sorta of stuff. Does this sort of bug anyone else?
>final fantasy being spoken about over dragon quest
Yes, 1 final fantasy title, vs 3 dragon quest titles, you dick head.
Seems about right.
It's all in context, faggot since most were arcade titles not released on the NES or FC. which they are talking directly about the NES.
only the original final fantasy would've been better than the dragon quest. ff2 was so shit nobody defends it aside for acknowledging it as an experimental game that was shit and never repeated.
I stopped caring about 'details' when MC thought it was a great idea to walk around in his "murder clothes" in broad daylight instead of asking and waiting for new clothes. I'm also getting the feeling that the modern timeline is less thought out that the past timeline.
What was the live thread reaction to this? I don't read the manga but I can confidently say the series has jumped the shark and landed into a wildfire.
FFI was a huge hit you moron. I was born in '88 and was playing it. and I couldn't even read.
FFII was fun as all hell. The remake was even better, better than pretty much every other remake they've been crapping out.
>You do realize Sword Arts Online was written by a 15 year old, right?
He was in his mid 20s when he wrote the first version of it for a contest. The version that was actually published and made into an anime was written in his 30s.
You can literally look up his fucking age on wikipedia and confirm this, yet SAOtards keep spreading this myth.
>I'm also getting the feeling that the modern timeline is less thought out that the past timeline.
Pretty much, the manga is at its best in the second part of 1988 which should start in this week's episode but it's still far from perfect. Really entertaining anyway.
People have been saying that the past was the best part of the manga so when I saw him going back to the present I dropped my expectations a bit.
Still, didn't think it'd get this stupid.
I've largely avoided the threads because spoilers, but at this point I'm considering dropping the series after the 2nd time jump back or sooner. I was mindfucked by how the series instantly hit PSO anime tiers of stupid.
I don't know about Japan but in Philippines there were the FInal Fantasy cliques and the Kingdom Hearts cliques so I guess it's the same thing in Japan but Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest.
>, DQ was out and had a newer title. was also a superior series
>people saying the fire was stupid
What the fuck do you people want? The killer followed her home and lit her house on fire. If you're talking about why she opened the door instead of jumping out her window, then I can agree with that. You could potentially argue that she didn't fully understand the situation, but it's doubtful.
Even if you were to accept that it wasn't dumb as fuck, her application of the story to the situation was also dumb as fuck since (1) shes comparing a labor dispute to a murder case with possible implications of conspiracy (2) her father divorcing her mother and leaving the household was entirely his choice (3) she was defending her dad's decision to break up and leave because she knew he didn't steal a candy bar. He left her because of a candy bar, and she defends it.
It was obviously one of those pre-World War 2 houses which survived the bombs. There will be a further in depth explanation that an American bomb was actually underneath the house the entire time and the killer knew about this because he time traveled to 1945 to save the Emperor's life, and was thus blessed with immortal life because the Emperor's bloodline is the source of all time travel shenanigans.
>her application of the story to the situation
Oh, this is what everyone's up in arms over? Ok, that makes more sense. I thought there were still people who didn't understand that the act of stealing has no distinction/tiers in the eyes of the Japanese public, whereas other people would eventually get over petty theft.
I can explain it now.
>Killer used mom's phone to further deflect police
>Killer is establishing a pattern of violent criminal behavior
>Now that MC is on the loose, killer has to make a grand display to motivate the police and the media to chase him down
Its still crazy stupid for the story to take these twists and turns.
Authorial intent is obviously to point out systematic injustices and use that as a base for Japanese citizens to act independent of what this flawed manipulative society taught them. That doesn't make the entire scenario easier to digest. She might as well have said her dad was abducted by UFOs and nobody believed him which is why she wanted to give this one guy a chance.
I think he was talking about pics related.
Honestly, I just hate dialogue that's like
>HEY BRO DID YOU WATCH [topical television show from this time period]
>NAH BRO I WAS TOO BUSY PLAYING [topical video game from this time period]
It's just a really lazy way to set the tone of an era.
Yeah, it's 1988, Liveman and Kamen Rider Black are airing. Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy are taking baby steps. You don't need to bring it up so clumsily.
