Why is Rebuild so much worse than the original? Is it because

Evangelion 3.33 doesn't deserve the hate it gets in my opinion.
The movie is pretty much a masterpiece,I guess plebs just can't recognize art these days.

Very few people hate the rebuilds for legitimate reasons, everyone else that hates them just hates them because they didn't get what they wanted, just like when evangelion first ended, they were mad because they didnt get what they want, and just like last time, a fifth movie is going to happen some time after the rebuild movies happen thats going to make people flip shit and consider it the second coming of christ, again, because thats what always happens.

Some examples of legitimate reasons to not like the movie are: less character development smooshed into a small time frame, the crimson chin, or voice actors and actresses being changed.

In a way it's not. In the original series Shinji constantly repeats the same mistakes over and over again and we see him do that in the rebuilds as well.
In NGE he is unable to change and when he does it was already too late.
The same can be said for RoE but in a different way, Shinji tries to change himself and adapt, but ultimately ends up always making things worse for himself and everyone else.
And at this point in his development he's realized that and probably believes it's best for him to do nothing.
Either way everything will repeat and he'll be caught in this endless cycle of suffering emphasizing his uselessness in the entire situation.

Rebuild exists just to make tons of money and this is a part of Anno's plan. The delay between the movies is also here to make money during the longest time possible. With this cash, Anno literally save anime. Animator's expo is also here to show that there are still a lot of good animators in Japan and it's a preview of the future of the industry saved by one man for the second time.

The state of the industry is one of Anno's priority, he made Evangelion partially because of this, he really wanted it to be a hit.

Yeah, but that doesn't change the fact that Shinji overcame his emotional instability after/during the worlds destruction.
By that point can you honestly say it's not too late?
I mean I do agree with it to some degree because in my opinion I saw EoE's ending as a more positive one, but it doesn't change the fact that Shinji made mistakes that costed him Humanity (or at least those who didn't realize they were in "false worlds" and didn't eventually escape)
