It became the standard and recognizable, you know RAW is reffering to untouched japanese Anime, Manga, LN and magazines, not raw pasta or eggs.

Personally, I think Okusan went too far and there's too much fan service. Probably why Galko-chan works so fine for me - girls act natural and that makes them so much sexier, instead of having wacky hijincks with showing their tits everywhere.

I wouldn't compare the two, Okusan's main point isn't being cute by engaging in conversations, sex was the focus since day one, hell, the "Danna-san" is conviniently an unseen character with no spoken lines so the reader can imagine they are the husband.
