Animation is generally harmful because it causes this niggling little unproductive flaw in offspring called "fascination". Parents hate that. They hate it more when their kid doesn't move onto bigger and better things in their lives.

Children should not have an excessive focus on fun and entertainment unless they are in war-torn or extremely poor countries, period.

Who the fuck cares about the society ? It can play a cruel joke with an individual though : in a lot of popular works MCs remain average and passive as fuck, yet they get into all sorts of adventures and cool situations.
