>>137230597 >mods banned you for telling them to fuck off Good, I hated Naruto threads to but then I realized instead of chimping like an autistic retard over anime I don't like to just filter the threads.
>>137230698 You're missing the point. They could like Naruto all they wanted as long as it was somewhere else. You don't shitpost a thread expecting to enlighten the posters, you do it expecting them to get fed up and go away.
>>137230732 >It worked pretty well until moot allowed it actually, newfag No Naruto threads were straight up banned which is why you didn't see any threads, Narutards couldn't give less of a shit if autists like you told them to fuck off as evident of right now.
>>137230796 >Naruto threads were straight up banned They weren't. In fact there was a little grace period where they made a thread each week for the new chapter, which would just die off naturally, and any threads apart from those once a week would be spammed and mods would just delete them because they were full of spam. Now we can have naruto generals any day of the week, hooray.
Moe always had its haters. Typically people who watched things like death note and bleach and thought they were the best things ever. "Moe is shit" "This girly crap is awful". You know the type. Teenager type mentalities.
I don't hate it but it's disappointing how seasons are dominated by this safe, often boring trend. Anime should have more diversity now and aim for more demographics but there's little reason for studios to take a risk when the status quo has been the same for so long. Sales are still dominated by series that have long time popularity and history or just appeal to dedicated otakus who are around every season and whatnot.
Just because someone isn't interested in moe doesn't mean they are some teenager obsessed with shonen. It's not as simple and extreme as that.
>>137231105 >Sales are still dominated by series Man I love these so called "moeshit" boogeyman. Lets look at the vol1 list of 2015 anime >黒子のバスケ 22,949枚 >うたのプリンスさまっ マジLOVEレボリューションズ 60,350枚 >血界戦線 20,717枚 >おそ松さん 92,932
>>137231668 >implying self insertion is a fundamental part of enjoying anime It's upsetting how many people think that while acting like they have any right to call others autistic, like this guy >>137231769
Moe can be great if there actually is a story behind the art style.
A lot of Anime that are clearly capitalizing on moe are usually just that; capitalizing on moe & forgoing everything else.
I think Sora no Woto is the best example of moe done right. You go into it thinking it's just going to be shit & then out of no where... oh shit, the plot is actually pretty fucking great.
Liking cute things is universal & we tend to want to protect or feel empathy towards them. If you combine that with a story that actually has substance, you can have something worth watching.
IMO I think most people don't necessarily hate moe, they just hate when nothing fucking happens like in Strike Witches. I'm not hating on Strike Witches, but that universe has the potential for some really interesting plots, character arcs, etc. And instead it mostly just functions as a backdrop for character antics where there are no real stakes.
Lastly for example, look at the Strike Witches movie in comparison. When Miyafuji legitimately gets injured it helps sell the danger. Even though you knew she would be fine in the end, when something actually happens to one of the characters you care. I don't give two fucks about Moe-blob#97 in after school tea club.
>Phantom World >Dagashi Kashi >Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! >Ao no Kanata no Four Rhythm >Saijaku Muhai no Bahamut >Shoujo-tachi wa Kouya wo Mezasu >HaruChika >Luck & Logic >Oshiete! Galko-chan >Koukaku no Pandora >Ooyasan wa Shishunki! >Mahou Shoujo Nante Mou Ii Desukara. >Nurse Witch Komugi-chan R
>>137232073 >story >plot Even in SnW those are accessory. What really shines in it besides the characters is the world building, which complements the slice of life nicely. The plot only kicks in near the end and the show is great all the way through. If you liked SnW you could probably enjoy some other good cute girl SoLs too, but not if you go into it "thinking it's just going to be shit" just because they have no plot or are set in school. Just consider placing more value in interesting or funny character dynamics instead.
