I can't exactly recommend any novels since I only watch the television dramas but the shows based on Jin Yong's works are some of the best in my opinion. My personal favorites are "Laughing in the Wind" 2001 drama and "Demi-gods and Semi-devils" 2003. You can find both series translated to english. Also the Condor Hero trilogy is pretty good as well.
