Annie is love
Annie is life
I just want Annie to smile again
Annie a miracle of the universe
Annie might've done some things wrong, but she's still a beautiful person inside and out
So in celebration of Mikasa's birthday, i've taken the liberty of collecting WHAT I THINK are the 10 best pieces of fanart of the year and honorable mentions for Mikasa.
None of this is meant to trigger anyone in anyway, it's all personnel opinion. All artists will be given credit in the name of each piece. If you have any to contribute feel free, starting off at #1 is one of the more well known ones.
Coming in at #2 is a different type of look for Mikasa, a piece where she actually appears scared.
In at #3 is this piece which I thought really stood out.
Also any higher resolution uploads for the art are welcome. The resolution in >>137228846 was the highest I could find and believe me I searched forever.
In at #4 is Albert Urmanov's take of what daily SNK life is like for EM.
#5 is next chapters encounter between CT and Mikasa.
>forgetting to put your trip back on after complimenting your own posts
Actually I was >>137228939
#6 Is Kangero17 according to fuckit, looks more like Ururuty's work though.
#7 Is this piece which I actually discovered in these threads earlier on in 2015.
Trying to hide what? I literally told you which post I didn't have my trip on for in my last post.
#8 is a Annie and Mikasa collab.
This is in at #9 because I have no source on it, tried searching for awhile but all I could find were people taking credit for it.
What about this piece of art by Anonymous?
I think it sums Mikasa pretty well.
In at #10 is a well known artist space_coyote, this would've placed higher but his source is not the highest res. That about sums up my top 10 best pieces of fanart for the year of 2015 for Mikasa. Some of them are honorable mentions which are made at an earlier date.
Looking forward too 3 more seasons of shitposting with you guys. Have a wonderful day! Or a wonderful night, depends on where you are.
>Kangero17 according to fuckit, looks more like Ururuty's work though
Nope, it's by a pixiv artist.
Same for this one. I find it hard to believe you've been here for more than a year if you don't even know how to search for source.
Those two I struggled on getting the sources for the most, and instead of telling me
>it's a pixiv artist
Why don't you post the source instead of just shitposting?
>Looking forward too 3 more seasons of shitposting with you guys
What will Eren get Mikasa for her birthday?
Pixiv 1733Thanks anon for the sources.
Probably heat of the moment, Armin insults Annie, Bert makes it appear as if he is the true intentions behind what the titans are doing? I honestly have no idea though to be honest.
>Q: Is Jean’s love going to remain unrequited?
>Isayama: Next month, there’s a development where Jean will become like Mikasa’s prince!
>Isayama: But Mikasa won’t think anything of it.
>Q: Oh. So usual Jean then.
>Editor: If Eren died, he might have a chance.
So how will they do it? How will they kill Reiner? How will they kill any major titans? If Isayama can just write asspulls for every instance?
>explosion from inside the titans body
>only blows off Reiners head
What the fuck?
>you will never get to cuddle up next to this butt in a sleeping bag after a day of battling titans
>have Eren climb the CT and tear Bertholt out of it, then kill him
>watch Bertholt run out of stanima until he reverts back to his human form, then kill him
Bertholt is useless after the initial shockwave of his transformation.
I have a simple question.
Why does Bert turning into CT suddenly create a huge blast?
When CT first invaded by materialising behind Eren, there was no blast.
I remember the typical panel where Eren just stands on the wall and CT appears behind him, he didn't cause any blast.
Am I missing something?
I think he can just use it whenever he wants. The first time we saw him use it, it was when he fell on Eren and Reiner, he used the blast to confuse the SL just before reverting back to his human form.
Happy Birthday Mikasa! Say good morning to Eren ^.^
These Damn Titans are just kinda Saitama. The author is overexaggerating their strength.
They were immune to swords and people made special weapons, they are immune to explosions, they are immune to time and don't need eating and now they are trully immortal and even can do nuclear explosions. Man. This is shitty.
He's supposed to be very skilled in combat and just never had the confidence to live up to his full potential. And if Annie could take on Mikasa like she apparently did when Keith had to break up the fight, then Bert should be able to as well. He's got a significant size/reach advantage and is about as skilled as Annie is. There's no reason why he shouldn't dominate most fights.
5 quid says if you sever the napes of the necks of the Titan shifters in human form, that'll kill them.
>in human form
Reiner got stabbed though the fucking neck by manlet and still survived using the same bullshit excuse of "transferring his consciousness" throughout the body.
err, not really. They were established as fairly durable with great regenerative ablities, and a pronounced weakness(the nape of their necks) early on and the author's stuck to that.
Regenerating creatures not suffering the effects of aging seems pretty standard, while I guess they can have a lack of need for sustenance follow on from that if they want.
Titan shifter's usually cause a blast when they transform. Bertie's titan's that much bigger it just results in a bigger explosion
>"Reiner survived by moving his brain functions to the rest of his body"
Made a drawing of Mikasa long ago. Happy Birthday Mikasa
Happy Birthday Mikasa.
Happy birthday cutekasa! In celebration, I give you faggots this. A cute catkasa I found awhile back.
Here is Mikasa's birthday present. I am sure she would be delighted.
Anon, that is Mikasa's sex toy. She is going to fuck that all night long like she always wanted.
Yeah, I don't buy it. Source? Armin is far from a normal person and advocates we-have-reserves tactics. Characters around him constantly observe how unhinged, ruthless, and just plain weird he is in comparison to everyone else.
So people think BRA are scum or the Reiss with the MP.
Let me tell you about Rita Iglehaut.
Quinta was a surviving district of wall Maria who were abandoned by the Government.
Due to panic, anarchy broke out and people did as they pleased with the MP's in charge even using titans to threaten the citizen.
Rita stood up as soldier of the Garrison trying to make Quinta work independently and got rid of the threats.
Well, nobody wanted to listen so they continued on.
Rita then went and became a "tyrant for peace".
Anyone committing the smallest crime gets tortured and killed.
Rita let all MP's be beheaded. Killing and torturing woman and children in public and even executed her father for being criminals who disturbed peace.
This went on for 6 months until someone had the guts to stand up. Rita ordered all to be executed but when it came to the climax, it's pointed out Titans appeared out of seemingly nowhere from the direction of Shiganshina and invaded Quinta. Forced to surrender, everyone left the city and evacuated over the forest of giant trees to Wall Rose. It's an open end, cause Rita surrendered herself to the new Government to pay for her crimes. End doesn't show what happened to her though.
>Armin is far from a normal person and advocates we-have-reserves tactics.
Yeah, he also said that Armin is developing, while Jean is stuck and remains as a normalfag presenting humanity.
>Reiner with his entire head missing has managed to fuse his consciousness with his nervous system thus escaping death once again
But is it an asspull if Isayama's wanted to do that for a long time? What defines an asspull? We're learning more about the shifters.
inb4 it's "magic", it's not, and in fact octopus can do it. Some frogs can, as well. They can transfer brain functions back and forth at will, and so long as they have enough blood, they can continue to live for some time with their head cut off. Obviously their head won't grow back and they'll eventually die but if their heads did grow back, they'd basically be invincible. They also keep their memories.
I'm thinking that could happen with Annie now. Break her crystal with the thunder spears, blow her head off, and now you have a strong and blank shifter to mold into a perfect soldier.
not that I hope that this happens but it could be interesting
Combine these two and you have a perfect recipe for ball-blasted fuckery of the utmost amazing kind. Extra points if Annie isn't told she was the female titan. Double extra if she IS told so that they can guilt her into submission.
It's the shockwave of the titan crashing into the ground from high up, not any special power. The reason there was no blast when he appeared at the walls is probably because he was on foot or flying low along the wall when he transformed (he would have to have been low to avoid being seen by anyone). It's why people only got concerned this chapter whenever Bert was flying high in the air.
Then what if memory inheritance is a thing for all shifters and not just the coordinate? Grisha told Eren that "their memories would help", but he was a coordinate for less than a day so he wouldn't know. So the shifter that Bert ate could be the one that made that decision.
We must abuse her to fight the system of abuse.
This panel gave me life.
The titan brain only saved his memories, it's the transfer to the nervous system of his human body that saved his life, like it did when Levi almost got him. But he was able to do that because he saw what was coming and prepared himself for it, I don't think Annie would be able to do that while she's unconscious inside the crystal. She wouldn't have time to transfer her functions over to her nervous system and she'd die in the explosion.
This probably isn't anything but, just something I noticed.
It seems to be a what if story where a pack of wolves attacked the kidnappers who killed her family while they were camping nearby.
Hence, Eren and Mikasa meet under more normal circumstances and Mikasa doesn't go to live with the Jaegers.
Nips are catching up on the Bert/Mikasa parallel.
But she still wants to fuck the shit out of him.
I was so relieved when he touched his heart and said he was still alive.
well, he and his dad still visit regularly on account of checking in on Mikasa's mom's pregnancy and whatnot, so yeah, they get close.
We can see in the new chapter though, that when Eren is being badly beaten, Mikasa is basically paralyzed by fear, unlike the main story version who already had to kill a guy to survive.
A lot of their moments are parallels. I like that while Mikasa called the world cruel but beautiful, Bert couldn't see the beauty in it.
This is more similar to Historia's change. Bert is becoming more like Reiner in his early state of development, like Historia became more than Ymir and Ymir more like Historia. Not sure if I would call it a parallel.
Yes. He was around Jean for a while after the attack in Trost but that was it.
This birthday thread sure is a lot more civil than Historia's.
Serious question here; did Bert eat Ymir?
Mikasa asked if he was even the same person and Bert saying "he decided" the humans should all die doesn't add up. It would make more sense if it was Ymir because Ymir-sama.
And if Bert ate Ymir would that mean CT now has a power up? What if he's really fast on top of his size? How fucked is SL?
So she went through the "cruel" phase like Bert, but next chapter she saw the beauty in it when she thought she was going to die. Maybe the same happens with Bert.
I'm pretty sure that the deformed packrat titan chilling with monkey trouble is the shifter that ate Ymir. The appearance of a new shifter and the disappearance of Ymir makes sense to me.
>Serious question here; did Bert eat Ymir?
Of course he didn't.
It might not be a literally who titan, could be someone Monkey Business brought with him that didn't have a shifter power yet. It makes sense that they would bring someone else along since they know that they lost one of their shifters and would want a vessel there to bring it back if they can locate the shifter (Ymir) who stole it.
It also fits the same general size and profile of Ymir's titan.
Well you are, obviously. She's an enigma and we still don't know her backstory nor who Ymir's people are.
If you think Isayama killed off a character like this off-screen you're a full blown retard m8.
Other than warrior, what else could she have said?
Some notable options:
That stuff can easily be explained through a flashback. Also the shock she died off screen will only help even more the manga. Beside that it's been pretty obvious she died. Even the ymir-sama shit was used in a extra chapter, not in the manga chapters. Just admit she is not as important as you want her to be.
The only retard here who is wishful is you not me. Implying like Isayama will go to explain each character backstory. Everything implies she died and only thing that makes some people doubt this is the Ymir-same thing which will be explained in a flashback like the rest. Stay buttblasted son.
I can't believe I won't be able to joke about Bert not being menacing anymore.
Another thing is, Bertolt's development is sort of like Mikasa's in reverse. Mikasa's suicidal efforts went to waste because Eren (in titan form) saved her, and later she was relieved after hearing his heartbeat.
In this chapter, Bertolt feels dead and alone because the only other person he cared about was practically dead, and he hugged him for closure before going off "to end it all".
I hope his character doesn't go completely 180 or there is a reason behind his personality change. Sweaty Bert is the best Bert.
Kind of but not exactly. Mikasa thought Eren was dead in >>137239318 and she gave up on life. She didn't notice her gas running out and then simply waited for her fate when the titan appeared.
Bert did the same so far. He took a gamble and expected Reiner to die in the explosion, and gave up on life. I don't know how it will work for him in the long run, for example Mikasa kept fighting but was rescued by Eren on the verge of death, maybe Reiner assists Bert after he regenerates and saves him before he dies.
I miss him already. I like the new Bert but I get the feeling that he's trying too hard to show assertiveness, he doesn't have it in him to be so decisive. Hopefully he settles on a middle ground, he won't be a follower but not a leader either. If both of BR survive their relationship will be more equal and Reiner won't overshadow him.
Isayama likes to put children in unfair positions. BRA on a suicide mission, Historia taking the throne, Ymir being possible royalty at the age of 10, Eren getting the coordinate and so on. Too bad we won't see BRA's backstory anytime soon.
If one of BR die this arc, this would be Bert. Reiner already survived death three times, and Bert's character song has all the "maybe next season I won't be alive" lines. It could mean that he's given up on life, or that he will actually be killed in this battle.
Probably. I'm hoping neither of them dies soon though. We still haven't had a 'flashback' chapter about them and I don't feel it would be right not to have both of them alive.
If Reiner were to die, Bert would need to remain as he became in this chapter. If Bert died, Reiner would take it bad but, I can't see how his character would change besides becoming more 'villainish' I guess. I'm not really sure.
I very much doubt Bert will die before seeing Annie again. Other than a promise made to Ymir, which was also made by Bert, Reiner has little going on beyond this current battle. And the spear weapons have made Reiner into pretty much a non-threat into the future. If anyone is dying, it's Reiner but I don't think either will die just yet.
Reiner isn't dying in this arc. They had a perfectly good chance now and it ended up being a fluke with some hints that his memory will be gone or something along those lines.
If Reiner died, Bert would probably make saving Annie his final goal. What >>137241587 said could be interesting because it would break Bert even more than simply killing Reiner, but it's unlikely to happen. If we get a childhood flashback one of these months, then one of them will die.
Last chapter everyone thought Bert would transform and accidentally kill Reiner in the process. Instead we found out he's very much alive, though still not in good shape.
Taking this into consideration as well as the Bert=Mikasa parallel, I highly doubt Reiner will revert onto his "soldier" persona here. More like he'll make a full recovery and snap Bert out of his suicidal funk.
Year record in a Mikasa Birthday thread!
It might not be a parallel but the running theme of having that one thing or person to live for. Eren is this for Mikasa. Christa is this for Ymir. And if we are right, Reiner(and Annier probably) for Bert.
she at least gets to hold eren's hand. Guess that's enough for a happy birthday
>shitposters ruining another birthday thread with their cancerous fingerpointing
>anons samefagging to give the illusion that Mikasa is liked after the hate shitstorm following the spoiler leaks
It was even more pathetic in the manga
This thread was so comfy talking about Bert and the new chapter.
>Bert and Mikasa haven't talked to each other once until this recent chapter
>Armin and Ymir have never spoken a word to eachother
>Ymir has never once spoken to Mikasa
>So many characters have yet to interact
I'm still bitter that Mikasafags tried to ruin Bert's and Historia's birthdays but she doesn't deserve this. Going to dump some twitter stuff.
I really want to see some actual fucking EM interaction, where they sit down and discuss what the future could be like and what they each want to do. Like that early interaction between EAr but with Mikasa instead.
So in celebration of Mikasa's birthday, I've taken the liberty of collecting WHAT I THINK are the best pieces of fanart of the year and honorable mentions for Mikasa.
None of this is meant to trigger anyone in anyway, it's all personnel opinion.
They did, at least for mission stuff. They were also grouped together in training and sat on the same table.
1# is the general piece of life art.
No problem, surprisingly I didn't find too much great art this year.
2# is a very well made realistic Mikasa.
>they just awkwardly stand around
Not considerably, but it did. More unpopular characters got better art on their birthday, is what I meant.
3# is a portrait with some resemblance to her cousin Levi.
I'm not really a shipfaggot but I'd like to see a conversation between them now that Mikasa is no longer smothering him and Eren finally admitted that he only treated her like shit because he was jealous of her skills.
Instead we got two different conversations between EAr about the fucking ocean again.
4# is my favourite panel of her. It show some links with the Berserk character that give Isayama inspiration to do Mikasa, Casca.
5# is an art from everyone's favorite artist. Here she is with Historia and Eren.
