How do I make my shitty webcomic get published, gain huge popularity, and have it animated like what happened to pic related?
To be honest I prefer having to live in fear of some right wing boogieman called sjw than having to drink radioactive water and not being able to eat the food produced around Tokyo and having a govment lying to me about the gravity of a nuclear disaster that occured.
Successful indie writer/leader here.
If you are doing it for the money, then you are already doing it wrong.
The world of art is dreadfully unforgiving and would definitely break you apart. Great stories come at the cost of the author and artist's humanity. Some cannot even survive through their inner demons and ends up killing themselves
If are trully more of about making money, then try making cheap, mass-produced trashes like some generic harems, transformers, or attack some sensitive topics and poison your story with your stupid ideas.
Damn, if only I do not have self-respect, I must be making millions by now.
To prove my strength to you:
I am responsible for not just one, but 5 pastas circulating around /a/ right now. Not that I can prove it anyway, but whatever
>The world of art is dreadfully unforgiving and would definitely break you apart. Great stories come at the cost of the author and artist's humanity. Some cannot even survive through their inner demons and ends up killing themselves
>Stephen King was known for suffering tremendous depression despite having a family
>Harry Poters author suffers from despression
>Ernest Hemingway killed himself
>author of Kill a Mockingbird did it only for the money as she knows that racism is hot topic
>author of 50 shades only made a success because she outright called critics to give her a bad name
Just to name a few
My latest ones that I posted just this year
Not really pasta as no one else posts it. But hey, if it can derail a thread, it should count, right?
>Comparing Hemingway with the two shitstains you just mentioned
Wow, you really know what you are rambling about. Please post more wisdom, indie writer
It's not about the author. But what fuels their craft, which is depression gained from constant self exploration
>Successful indie writer/leader here.
Anon, we've been over this.
i mean, shit could be real. then i saw despera. tasty b8 m8
This week's episode was intense.
Must be because shits like this costs the eyes-of the-face tier of expensive but seeing someone destroying an expensive electronic device like that is like taking an kick on the nuts.
>I am responsible for not just one, but 5 pastas circulating around /a/ right now.
Even if this is true, this don't prove that you are a writer. Post an actual thing that you wrote, so we can judge you or GTFO.
The MC did not find a way.
Yep, I was saying about feminism, racism, social justice. Mainly the feminism. They were loudy nowadays on the japanese internet.
("black lives matter" not because I don't see any censorship pressure in Japan from them to anime/manga/videogame.)
The cost of liberty is the eternal vigilance.
You have to fight back those pressure of censorship or else manga ends worse than Marvel.
The authors has his own ideologies but may be about the super hero genre itself.
I didn't find any political ideologies at all.
get attention from a bit name like Murata
One was planning on stopping making OPM and when Murata learned of that contacted him and got him a publishing deal for his own work and for OPM redraw
i though everybody even remotely interested in OPM know this
Alright here's the thing.
While I feel I can't blame you for having a reactionary view on politics since you are the one that feels 'pushed' by these discourses, I really strongly recommend to educate yourself a bit further about the movements you quote before you just repeat what others put out about them, especially if it comes from boards on here. There is more to a political spectrum than liberalism vs conservativism, just like there's more than just virtue and decadence maybe. I recommend looking at the virtues of the time of European Illumination, for instance and what the French went for with that revolution of theirs. Just because an ideology doesn't jump you in the face doesn't mean it's not there. In the case of OPM look at how he gets into the whole being a hero thing from the start and what his goals in life are. Also look at the structure of the Hero's Association and what it actually is.
On the same topic, how would one advertise/expose one's first webcomic, if even at all? For one I know social media is something without doubt to be considered for more exposure.
Also, if one were to make a website for it, what should be taken into consideration? For example, not having ads on it, being easy to use and looking simple and "clean" I think are some thigs one should take as advise.
I'm also curious to know what anons opinions are on manga-inspired comics. Does that by itself put you off from reading it or are you more open about it, how do you think?
Purchase a 4chan self-serve ad :^)
I used only facebook to gather public attention for our books but you can try using multiple websites if you can manage it though. I did not advertise within my family circle though as I don't want them there..
Oh, it's this series. I've heard about this one - my friend works on the backgrounds for that studio. He's quite shitty with animating characters, but had some GOAT backgrounds and worked like crazy to get into anime industry in Japan.
>Also, if one were to make a website for it, what should be taken into consideration?
Wordpress is great for the layout. Blog for advertising. There are tons of webcomic sites that you can choose from however.
We decided on wordpress as it has better functionality. Readers are rarer but leaves more satisfied
>what anons opinions are on manga-inspired comics
Just refrain from weebo shits and you're good. In my country at least
When are we going to animate the Lolidudes?
Jaded college students love anything meta and think jabbing at tropes and breaking the 4th wall is quality writing, see undertale. They'll latch onto it and viral it on the Internet for you
My question is, if this was originally based on an English fanfic, did someone actually translate it into Japanese and it took off from there? I can see a Japanese NaruSasuke fanfic taking off and garnering it's own drama CD, but for a story that was originally written in English? That's the part that boggles my mind.
Find something high-concept and interesting, then dumb it down for normalfags
There he is. There he goes again.
Look everyone he posted it once again. Isn't he just the funniest guy around. Oh my god.
I can almost see your pathetic overweight frame glowing in the dark lit by your computer screen which is the only source of light in your room giggling like a little girl as you once again type your little keit-ai thread up and fill in the captcha.
Or maybe you don’t even fill in the captcha, maybe you’re such a disgusting NEET that you actually paid for a 4chan pass so you just choose the picture.
Oh we all know the picture, the uh epic flip phone isn’t it? I imagine you, little shit, laughing so hard as you click it that you drop your Doritos onto the floor.
But its ok, your mother will clean it up in the morning. Oh that’s right, did I fail to mention? You live with your mother! You’re a fat fucking fuck up and she’s probably so sick of you already. So sick of having to do everything for you all god damn day, every day, for a grown man who spends all his time on 4chan posting about a shitty fanfic.
Just imagine this, she had you and then she thought you were going to be a scientist or an astronaut or something grand and then you became a NEET. A pathetic keit-ai fag NEET. She probably cries herself to sleep everyday thinking about how bad it is and how she wishes she could just disappear. She can’t even talk try to you because all you say is “FINDS A WAY FINDS A WAY FINDS A WAY.”
You became a parody of your own self. And that’s all you are. A sad little man laughing in the dark by himself as he prepares to indulge in the same old dance that he’s done a million times now.
And that's all you'll ever be.
Not sure how reliable anikore is but here you go. Everyone on /a/ knowing about it is far from being mainstream.
