This whole arc was complete garbage

The fact that they try to make it feel like a mystery is a slap in the face. They outright tell you every detail the millisecond it happens on screen before you can even comprehend it. Even doing so you still can't understand what the fuck is going on because its so rushed.

And who is supposed to give a fuck about those characters enough to get emotional? We just met them and their whole story and reunion gets told in like 5 minutes.

The 4th dimensional concept being used to harvest energy is really neat. Seeing the odd manifestations of the 4th dimensions inside of the 3rd is pretty cool too. That museum guy turning a fucked up tree is solid sci fi goodness.
