I think FMA:B is probably the best of all time, and thought FMA 2003 was ok except for the mid-end not making any sense

I've rewatched FMA 2003, probbaly 2 times and FMA:B once

FMAB (and manga. More the manga) had great story, and I mean the story behind the story. So much rhyming and pottery. Arakawa clearly had studied western and eastern alchemies and put not just references to them but their philosophies into the story. The whole thing witht he antagonist is a big ouroboros.

Everything starts with Hoenheims blood giving birth to the homunculus in the flask. That homunculus makes chaos. Childs of Hoenheim stops him. So much pottery, so clear sneak eating it's tail.

And even that is reference to that taoist story about mason who wasn't content with anything. It all works.

It wasn't anywhere close to forgotten, it's absurdly popular, one of the biggest entry level series in the medium, and well received by both /a/ and normies alike.
