NagiAsu while not the best Okada show, is her most ambitious. Will we get another Opus. The show ties setting, themes, characters, conflict into one profound package. It was a beautiful poem and fairy tale.
Excellent answer, anon. Though I didn't expect it.
The characters were also a key factor for me. By the end, I liked most of them, which is more than I can say for many shows. Though Okada might actually be good at doing this, as I liked everyone in AKB0048 too.
Oops. Wrong pic. Meant to post this. Thought I had the filename format down pat, but a few years has dulled my memory.
here's something. The mythology reflected the characters too.
Sea God is a reflection of the male characters(mostly Hikari).
The Ojoshi was a reflection for the the 3 Ena girls.
Friendly reminder P.A. Works suggested in some extend the series scenario. It was either going to be fantasy or sci-fi. In the end, Okada went for the first. Probably since she wanted to do the sci-fi conceptions too is the reason why we got M3: Sonno Kuroki Hagane.
Looking at her profile you can see she is really prolific. One thing I noticed was that she worked extensively on Toradora, but never even touched Golden Time, and the dropoff in quality between those two shows is palpable.
I think therefore it is safe to assume that Okada has the expertise but not what you would call talent.
With Anohana, the director changed the whole concept of the show. Okada wanted it to be a slapstick/ecchi comedy.
She's very prolific, as are most anime screenwriters, but until she writes an original novel or LN of her own, it's hard to judge her level of talent.
Is it really not okay to judge though? Even if she was working with somebody else's concept for AnoHana she still wrote it herself. Same with Kiznaiver, she wanted it to be a battle anime but the director wanted a sci-fi thriller.
no the 4koma takes place after the show
Bullshit. Wixoss had great and known staff. They didn't fuck around with infected and that's the reason why it was so good. There is literally no truth to her controlling the majority of the shit in Wixoss.
As far as I remember. Hanasaku Iroha setting was given by P.A Works and Okada wrote the story. I'm not sue if she did the same for Nagi no Asukara. Perhaps she has part of the credit.
Is ir wrong as a man to be sexually attracted to 'The Cake' because of her wacky writting?
I think her best shows are Hanasaku Iroha, Toradora, and NagiAsu.
I liked Zetsuen no Tempest, Sakurasou, WIXOSS, and Canaan still though.
This a serious question:
Do you thin Kiznaiver will be good?
And this will be best boy because Okada loves him.
I watched M3 recently without any influence from /a/ and enjoyed it well enough. It had some really good episodes like when Mahmu finally got over her fear and guilt of Emiru. It also helps that I sort of do exactly the research that Natsuiri did in trying to connect people with BCIs.
Also kind of creepy, I hope Okada doesn't hate me.
I'll probably like it no matter what, the question is whether it'll be discussable here. The answer is no, mostly because of people hopping the meme train because of Trigger. Wixoss got a free pass because it was JC Staff.
>I struggle to grasp even remotely complex emotions and so the portrayal of them makes me feel strange and uncomfortable
>therefore I must simpligy them to crawling in my skin in order to make myself feel better about it
