>Raped every virgin girl in his kingdom
>Wants to kill 99% of humanity and rule over the strongest 1%
Is Nasu on drugs or something?
>Implying it was rape
He was the king, he was getting tribute from the wives, and it was an honor for them.
The men who called for help are just angry cucks. Too bad the help they got ended up being his buddy anyway.
>In Fate/stay night, all of the Servants' alignments can be viewed on their respective status screens. The first part indicates the principles they consider important, and the second part indicates personality.
Below is a complete list of alignments featured in the game, for comparison purposes.
>Saber Lawful Good
>Lancer Lawful Neutral
>Archer True Neutral
>Rider Chaotic Good
>Caster Neutral Evil
>Berserker Chaotic Insane
>Assassin Lawful Evil
>Kojirou Neutral Evil
>Gilgamesh Chaotic Good
>Saber Alter Lawful Evil
>While a difference in personality generally won't be too much of a problem, a difference in principles will inevitably lead to friction.
Saber and Gil would be a good example of that.
Sauce, for those curious:
I agree. Douchenozzle. He was alright in the actual Epic of Gilgamesh, but can guzzle a bucket of dicks in the show.
It's impossible to not want the G D if you aren't a servant bro.
Godly stats aside, he was a king. Imagine if you're a lowly peasent and Aubrey Hepburn who was your Queen and also had enormous breasts and a God tier ass offered to let you ravage her pussy all night.
Would you say no?
>Humanity is walking the path of self destruction due it`s acceptance of weakness
>Lived during the time humanity were closer to gods
>Creates a method to regain humanity greatness
>/v/ and reddit call him evil
He wants to kill all modern day "humans"
>Wants to kill 99% of humanity and rule over the strongest 1%
Actually, in Zero and Fate route, he was a pretty chill guy whose only desire is to marry Saber
Gilgamesh only started desiring to kill mankind when Shinji became his master due to obvious reasons
In this particular alignment system the intention is what counts and in the real world, almost everyone actually wants to improve the world, some people just care about personal gain and only few actually would really want to make the world worse place/cause suffering for the heck of it.
At least that's how I interpret it.
It's not. It's purely because of >>136407403
Not even that. Apparently the more people there are, the less special and awesome each person is because of some wierd magic.
He wants there to only be a few people around so those left are on his level.
>Is Nasu on drugs or something?
Nasu loved and cried for Lio when he watched the Kara no Kyoukai films, I think that should tell you something about him.
Not that I didn't enjoy Lio as a screwed-up antagonist myself, mind you.
Is based Gil the fake/strange protagonist? Does he get the victory he always deserved? Does he fuck brown loli?
Or does it give equal pagetime?
His goal was always that of ruling over everything again and killing off all the inferior people even in zero. He just didn't give a big enough fuck to actually do it and instead looked toward saber as something to attain after falling for her.
>He wants there to only be a few people around so those left are on his level
The only one on his level to him is Enkidu.
He wants every remaining people to be necessary or valuable, but in his eyes people will still be just treasure for him to own.
I do remember that the strong ego of Gilgamesh was the reason why he actually didn't go insane from being in contac with mud.
It feels like ages, but quite sure someone said that.
Nevermind, I take it back. He's only cool in the version I heard.
In the most popular telling he's a total shit. He can get ass-fucked by Enkidu for all I care. "Lord's right" is fucking bullshit.
Both Fate/Stay Night and Fate/Zero and Fate/Extra CCC make it clear that Angra Mainyu had no effect whatsoever on his personality.
What did have effect is being alive in the modern era, which occurred after Angra Mainyu spat him back out for being indigestible. He was given a living body, which caused his human blood to acclimate to that of the modern era (1994). That is what caused him to distort from his original model, as he became part of the modern Alayashiki which is different from the Alayashiki of 3000 BC or whenever he originally lived.
Except it's not that simple.
Black and white logic does not exist
The basic equation for justice is:
(Crime + Action/ how he did it) - Intentions = Sentence
But that is not including the matters of culture , age, upbringing, mental state, and other factors that may affect the sentence of a person.
The law allows good and evil to be defined. But no such thing as black and white
Gilgamesh falls in love with Gilgamesh.
Unable to confess his love, he is gifted by a strange heavenly bull with Gilgamesh's phone number. Never minding the strange area code, he immediately calls him and is overjoyed to find out that he has a crush on him as well.
But, the next day, when he recounts the previous day's confessions to Gil, he starts wondering if it's even possible. After some investigation, the clueless King finds out that the king he called is not the same king he fell in love with. In fact, he doesn't exist in this universe at all. He is Gil's alternate universe counterpart, who has fallen in love with Gilgamesh's own AU self, who too is blissfully unaware of his crush.
Hijinks ensue as he strikes a deal with himself to give him his darkest, most private secrets in order to equip himself with the weapons they need to conquer the heart of Gilgamesh. While he chases his loved one, DRAMA ensues as he begins to fall in love with himself instead and question the NATURE of NARCISSISM.
FSF is an assemble cast Narita style so there is no protagonist. Though Gil might end up in a more protagonist-like team. Flat (with Jack Berserker) is somehow allied with Ayaka (who is Richard's Master). Richard Saber has allied himself with Enkidu (Lancer) who in turn is Gil's BFF. The main Masters are Flat, the brown Loli and Ayaka (who was the silent protagonist in the one shot), and the main Servants are Archer, Lancer and Archer (fake).
Assassin cool as shit in strange/fake. I always wondered why some of the servants didn't just spawnkill their scumbag magi before they could receive an order.
>Pretty cool gatekeeper guy
>inseminating virgins with superior demigod genes
its like you want to rule over a kingdom of mortals, its an honor for them to raise his superior spawn.
its not like he's killing people/trying to destroy humanity out of hatred for humanity, he's trying to make it better by weeding out the useless, like you.
>To start at the conclusion, you don’t qualify as a Servant! I can’t give you a single point! And as a heroic spirit? That doesn’t bear discussion! No matter what records you consult, Gilgamesh was a ruffian that brought suffering to his country and his people. Calling you a king of men would make me laugh. A fool who united heaven and earth, ruling over men without governing his country. A King of Heroes is just that, and not to be called a king of men even by accident. That principle of kingship is simply to reign. You establish yourself as a king, but that state is nothing but a storm with will. First you destroy. And after that you cannot even promise a good harvest. And in that sad state you gather the riches your subjects produce. Greed. Cruelty. And conceit. Those three things raised to their ultimate form and then made into one — that’s what you are. Serfs raise their crops, kings raise their countries. But you didn’t even raise a country. You did at all nothing but kill and pursue your self-satisfaction. Your nation, your followers, your legend, none of it continues after you. The only thing remaining to you is yourself. Is this contract, too, nothing but an amusement to distract you from your boredom? An adjudicator who enjoys human emotions without understanding them. That is your true nature, Gilgamesh.
We went over this too many times.
Incarnated Gilgamesh nature aligns with that of the humans of that era, so he basically became a extremist based on the 90s consumerist society.
Under normal conditions he is more chill and a neutral observer, albeit a jerk neverthless.
here we go again folks
>Had all the children in her kingdom killed in order to try to kill Mordred as a child
>Killed her only child
>Was going to have her wife killed
>Killed Lancelot in Zero
Is Nasu fucking stupid or something?
>Because servants want to win the holy grail war,
Nope, a good handful are just fucking insane. I'm surprised that some of them didn't immediately rape their masters into subordination. Besides assassin just killed their master in that pic, explain why she's still there? It's because he didn't form the contract yet.
Yeah, that's what I mean, she could go around mana sucking for days. She don't need no man.
Servant system is broken you gotta admit.
Also the assassin's master did die but he's apparently that one dude from naruto or something and has a revolver chamber of hearts/magi core, and each magi core is fundamentally a different magi altogether, so the contract and stuff wouldn't transfer.
When will this meme by non VN readers end?
Since this is the only fate thread i see today, is Nasu a girl? I mean, he seems to do the whole "male historic figure is actually a girl" thing often. Is he trying to tell us something?
That means jack shit if they just wanted to take everyone on a ruse cruise. Telling a lie has never been heard of before, though.
Sounds feminine. And his writing has certain subtleties I typically see in female writers. The female characters in his works are always pretty OP. And we've never seen him. I dunno, I'm skeptical
