What anime are notorious for being absolute garbage adaptations, as well as being just an overall shit anime regardless of the source material? I'm curious.
Pic related is an obvious recent example, but I know there's been adaptations so bad that people pretend the anime doesn't even exist.
Does anyone have the image comparing the manga and anime version of Arima vs Kaneki?
>pic related for fucking disgrace
OPM, the fanbase became so cancerous once the anime aired.
Akami Ga Kill
One punch man
Claymore... to a certain extent
The monogatari series Bake-Owari
Sword art online (the first season)
Kore wa zombie desu ka
I loved the manga, but fuck the anime was bad
Good EDs though.
>Complaining about Asterisk
>When Antimagic exists.
Come on now
Re: is not even close to being a passable adaption kid
Anything from Negima. Seriously if it done right, it would have some amazing battles....
At least you can tell what the fuck was going on in the anime. I've no clue what the characters are trying to do in the manga, I usually go to a fan-site to read a synopsis after I finish a chapter to make sure I understood everything...
SAO's first light novel was honestly fucking awful so the anime isn't even that bad of an adaptation aside from all the side stories crammed into it just to give it episodes. I heard progressive is actually pretty good though.
The Kingdom anime was great though. The animation was terrible for the first few episodes and then gradually got better through the first season. Everything except the animation is top notch even in the first season.
Tsukihime's adaptation was so bad you still get at least one fag saying there's no Tsukihime anime whenever you mention it, over a decade after its airing. I think that says a lot about its quality as an adaptation.
I know dude, I started by watching the anime, and the first part was even not that bad, but after the torunament start it all goes to shit. Luckily by that point I started reading the manga.
Progressive is alright. It's SAO the way it should have been from the beginning, and Kawahara pours alot of his imagination into it. So as long as you're not autistic about how SAO can't realistically be an MMO by our contemporary standards it's enjoyable. But it's still Kawahara so the writing's not great outside of that.
This steaming piece of fucking garbage
It's horrendous. The animation is almost nonexistent, the music is random crappy stock songs, every character is off-model more than half the time. It's not worth it, even if you're a huge fan of the manga (which I hope you've read if you're considering watching the show).
