Today: After the War, the Crow Caws
Next week :Farewell
They explained the scene in the benizakura movie where gintoki goes into the classroom and gets that notebook contradicting the flashback in this arc by saying there wasn't any dialogue so there isn't context, so they added in some dialogue about pants or something
I'm scared they'll skip the nobume and shoyo scene, they showed a second of her in the compilation, hopefully next week they show it
And next week
>Scene has great animation
>gets excited for the oboro clash to have good animation
>Disappointed when the quality dropped suddenly
Was I the only one
There are probably series followed by no more than a couple hundred people in the entirety of english speaking west that get more posters and longer threads than Gintama does during one of the most important arcs
I would have added my IP to the count if I had anything of interest to say. But alas I don't. Even this post is so uninteresting that the idea that somebody might finish reading it is absurd. I could post my social insurance number and nobody would ever know. The one thing I fear the most is that one day even I will stop taking note of myself. Then I will become a ghost haunting the reaches of 4chan spouting memes from forgotten eras and not accomplishing anything.
Gintama actually doesn't have very many western fans, most "fans" haven't even seen most of the series. It's only known for it's parodies, not many people actually follow the manga and anime fully unfortunately
I don't know if its that Kamui is really that strong or that Kagura just sucks.
How is she still getting rekt when Kamui is heavily injured and she is aiming for his wounds?
>Shogun arc ends next week
I know Shogun is going to die
>mfw episode is coming out on my birthday
I don't want feels for my birthday
Lol you need to reread the chapter closely
The shogun shigeshige dies, Shigeshige the person stays alive
I'm going to need some serious HEALING after this arc, at least we got gintokisensei.
This episode Webm
Everytime I see Takasugi I cannot unhear him in Prince Hata's voice, well fuck
I am expecting Tsukuyo to drop further in the rankings, but would be nice if she could get back in the top 10.
Kamui at least probably won't retain his 3rd place this time.
I also expect Mutsu, Sacchan and Nobume to all rise in the rankings.
Kek, this is the classic Gintama type humour I've missed, not the pooping of the pants but the self-referencing with Sugita's monotone.
I'm so hype for next week, I'm split whether I'm ready for this to end though.
Hijikata will probably stay at 2nd place, but Kamui will probably drop, while Takasugi takes 3rd place. Shinpachi will hopefully stay in 8th place.
I also expect Tae to drop from the top 10. I'd like her replaced by Tsukuyo in the spot again, but that's unlikely.
At some point yes. Might be immediately after this one, even.
They could also start a new season up at a later point, with some of the skipped arcs before showing the Farewell Shinsengumi arc.
>the classic Gintama type humour came back
I was mad at first that it was little action and short episode with a re-cap
Why they do that, but than gintama-sensei came back so all good.
>Gintoki vs Shinsuke wasn't a good fight
I want to see Utsuro animated. I want top see that more than almost anything else that is or could possibly come out.
>Gintoki vs Shinsuke wasn't a good fight
2-part OVA, bundled with preorders of the manga volumes released then. August and November I think it was.
It's something. Would've preferred it be part of the anime itself though.
Gintama Jump Special Anime Festa 2015
I might be wrong, but I think we're 8 or 9 episodes short of a full 52 episode series. I imagine they'll animate Farewell Shinsengumi and stop the series there, maybe a final gag episode to finish up.
The fact that we're getting a Love Potion OVA later in the year makes me think we'll finish this series at a full 4 cours and then get a new series as soon as the manga is (nearly) finished.
If you want a conversation, you should start one.
Gintama's not the kind of series that lends itself to a lot of discussion, and the threads are thankfully devoid of shitposting most of the time. This makes the threads quieter, but more relaxed at the same time.
This OP is the best by far
>gintama will end soon and we will never have comfy threads again
My heart won't be able to bear all this
Pray is still one of the best OPs though.
>tfw it plays during the final fight of Utsuro vs Gin, Takasugi, Katsura and Sakamoto
more suffering Gintama has only been suffering since the beginning of the Shogun Assassination arc, with only a few dashes of comedy here and there
I don't rike it.
Best OPs and EDs although I think I might only enjoy 4 because it was when I really got into the show.
I enjoyed BEAUTY BEAUTY, BEAUTIFUL SUNDAY.
Kamui is roughly as strong as the Night King guy awhile back.
Except he's still young, has more potential, and has potentially more aptitude for battle. Probably hasn't even reached his limits yet. Although if there's anything that can fight Yamato guy's so far, its samurai, who despite not being as strong in sheer numbers, can pull out more power or skill in desperate situations.
In terms of battle genius guys for that race, he's near the top. Its Kagura's dad who got a bit of a bump in the last arc or so to be stronger than he was originally in a sense, to seem like a threat to last boss guy.
We're 2 or 3 episodes into the current cour. The show won't end next week due to that. They'll either go straight to the Shinsengumi arc, or dump the skipped comedy arcs after this one and end the season with them, without going ahead with the future story arcs.
They usually preview future arcs, so the lack of information makes me think that they'll use the skipped stories to close the season, and only start the Shinsengumi stuff in the next series.
So how do mangafags feel about the current arc?
Personally, I'm getting a real 'final arc of Gintama' feel since everyone is up against the
Tendoshuand the final boss is going to be Immortal Shoyo or whatever he is. I seriously wonder where Sorachi could take Gintama after this. Considering that he's going to do a few one off healing/comedy chapters, what could be the next big arc?
Also Anyone know what happened to Kamui? I can't remember the last chapter he was in.
