It's a noitaminA show with another retarded Aniplex 20,000 + 20,000 yen double boxset release for what's going to be an 11 or 12 episode show. They've either prepared for it to bomb by doing a boxset to make sure they recoup as much as possible or are trying to do some sort of Fate/Stay Night type scheme here, but frankly this doesn't look like some otaku collectors must have type release.

Considering it also debuted outside of the top 1,000 and has peaked somewhere in top 400 for what is supposed to be an all time utterly flawless masterpiece set of opening episodes of an award winning well known manga according to anime viewers and boxsets usually start off strong getting all their preorders really early before fading off it's not looking terribly promising for it right now. Even the much maligned Gundam 0083 debuted at number 2 overall for it's BD Boxset and is estimated at about 9,000 units. Steins;Gates 50,000 yen one debuted in the top 20 and is estimated to do about 2,500 units as another point of comparison. It's also not one of those releases that goes up on Amazon and then is offset by about 6 months like you usually see with boxsets, it's getting released in like 2 months so they time to preorder is pretty much right now. At least it's not doing as bad as Subete Ga F Ni Naru though, but right now it's looking to average about 700-800 sales.
