So it turns out that Atra is a tough nut to crack.
>Being this mad about only a quick kiss
So how high are the chances Gjallarhorn still believes Atra is Kudelia in the next episode?
Doesn't matter, all dirty whores will die.
It feels like its very common that the most torture a woman gets on screen is a slap. It was implied she was getting punched the sh@t outta when it was off/just off screen, but the moment the camera centers on it, it goes to the open hand.
Not that I would enjoy seeing Atra punched... I mean she probably gets off on it anyway...
No bully atra, scene was too sad, but then the rescue was nice
Your waifu getting her ass kicked made me hard, anon.
Do you think he'd have his way with Atra?
All I know for sure is that she's got dat ass.
Atra best crewmate.
She tricks the enemy, handles an interrogation, and stays professional throughout.
and on top of that, she can cook.
>Shino: AREN'T YOU JEALOUS, YAMAGI?
>Yamagi: Not really.
>Shino: SAY WHAT?! YOU CALL YOURSELF A MAN? (GET BACK HERE)
>Takaki: What's the matter?
Does he look like a nigger to you?
My little gundam pilot can't be this bloodthirsty.
Yeah, she is very useful! She can... she can... cook!
Knowing how much she suffered in the past and seeing that she got beaten up again made me feel bad. On the other hand she is still a shit. She can cook, yes, but otherwise she's quite irrelevant and she feels it so she butts in everyone's business. Like the way she forced herself on Biscuit was cringey.
>What were those pissed looks Naze's wifes were giving him?
Naze had been neglecting them so he offered that Orga take care of their needs. They were not happy about that offer at all. Poor Orga.
i miss giant robots beating each other up
>saying someone is immature as a defense to IBO
Everyone's arguing over who'll win the mikabowl, meanwhile best couple is slowly but surely gaining speed.
It's pretty clear that the whole harem will learn how great to have man for themselves alone, so all of them will choose a Tekkadan boy in the end. Atra will be told btfo with her haremshit fantasies.
>I taught my phone to recognize Tekkadan through swipe typing
Man does it feel good.
What did they smell like, /a/?
They are only doing it to milk the drama later on, don't let yourself get hurt anon.
It's gonna happen, anon. Accept it.
Does it feel like they had a role switch with Orga and Mika? At first I thought Orga had a guaranteed death flag just by the fact of being a 'kamina' character to Mika but he has pretty much never been in any direct combat situation. I can't see Orga doing any kind of heroic sacrifice to that effect when he's never fighting. It just wouldn't work out.
These two though, they have pretty much guaranteed drama incoming with all that build up.
I'm hoping both of them will survive but Shino's ramping up the death flags like no tomorrow. He's a goner.
Wow he got lewd.
Is he an animator?
I think so. He used to stick to the boys standing together or some vaguely cute bullshit but a lot he's been posting lately has been pretty lewd.
i gotta know, what was the point of the mask and long hair. i get that the maid and kudelia both know what he actually looks like (from the ep where cooki and cracker almost got hit by the car) but he never saw them there. so why hide himself?
They're all going to die. They'll be besieged and think they're doing okay while waiting for the Great Revolution to sweep the colonies, rally behind them, and relieve the pressure, but instead Kudelia and her merry band of marauders will abandon them to their fate, no one else in the colonies will have the balls to rise up, and all these deluded mooks will perish under Gjallarhorn flamethrowers and their colony will be vented into space.
They'll get involved long enough to get away and back on the road to Earth. They're not going to stay and duke it out with a Gjallarhorn task force when that's not what they were hired for, plus they've got what Teiwaz wants to consider and if the Old Man doesn't want them making waves on behalf of some reactionaries, they'll get ordered to bail on Dort 3 and leave them to their fate. Kudelia will then spend multiple episodes weeping into her hands about the blood spilled on her behalf like the ignorant bitch she is.
They won't kill him off before the finale, he's a gundam user. Which is even worse actually because there'll be no time to either give Yamagi any respite or show him properly grieving, just a "Shino died, Yamagi cried, the end" scenario. So much shota suffering in this show.
Can I voice a complaint about other Gundam series here?
God, the final episodes are terrible.
At first I thought Zeta had all the potential to be better than original Gundam in every field. Later I came to realize that while it is theoretically better, fun factor is quite similar. Still, I was very pleased with that. However in later part of the series the episodes had more and more annoying segments, to the point where I'm almost fed up after ep 49.
Hopefully Tomino delivers in final episode, I never considered Zeta could crash so hard toward the end.
A bunch of the cast either die or get fucked over at the end.
And then ZZ picks up immediately where Zeta leaves off and has a much goofier and sillier atmosphere until about halfway through the series.
Will we see more /tanuki/ suffering?
The anime won't have a conclusive ending as the manga is still ongoing. The OVAs will probably end with
Psycho Zaku and FA gundam KOing each other, Zeon forces arriving to sweep up the survivors of the battle (Pretty much every ship got destroyed except on zeon one barely hanging on that the EFF survivors take over), and the EF main fleet moving through the shoal zone since that was the real purpose of the operation and the whole "Cut off the supply line" thing was just a cover.
Damn. It even lacked any kind of conclusion. What the hell. It feels like there should be one more episode after 50. I'm left in the middle of the battlefield and narrator didn't even utter a single word.
Does ZZ provide some ending for Zeta or just starts off as new series?
I'll try to adjust my expectations for endings of all later series.
How much should I watch before Thunderbolt? I thought about covering most of Gundams in order they came out. The only one I watched aside from 0079 and Zeta is Wing way in the past.
>Does ZZ provide some ending for Zeta or just starts off as new series?
Sort of both. Kamille is literally mind broken at the start from what happens at the end of Zeta and for all intents and purposes is a vegetable. At the colony, they meet a gang of kids led by Judau, who is a powerful latent newtype. Judau becomes the new protagonist and takes the Zeta as his starting gundam. The plot revolves around Neo Zeon starting a war with the EF now that the titans are out of the way and the AEUG are crippled from the battle of Gryps.
All you really need is the original series. Thunderbolt initially takes place in a debris field during the end of the OYW. Technically it's an alternate version of UC as well, as there are major changes to MS designs, how psycommu works, and there is a bit of a change to how the war "Ends".
The Principality still dissolves and the republic of Zeon still signs the surrender, but most of the Zeon military just says "Fuck that" and actively carries on the war.
I assume Hero-L are the best subs? Remaster looks like shit from what I saw at animebytes and ASS looks, well, like the name suggests, from screenshots at bakabt.
Thank you, I'll get to downloading. How about Origin?
>How about Origin?
The manga is an alternate retelling of the original series with tweaks and changes to pretty much everything as well as lots of added background to the war and some of the characters told through flashbacks primarily from Char and Sayla's points of view. It's a great series and well worth a read.
The OVA are covering the Flashback arc.
What's the best couple, faggots? Macky x Loli, Edge kun x Revengeance, Atra x Mikazuki, Kudelia x Mikazuki, or Naze x Harem?
It's not very accurate. Again it's in her head so it's just what she thinks everything is like. It hasn't actually been stated that any of the main pilot girls except for delicious brown have children.
that was a pretty decent episode for a change.
atra best girl
Yeah, all the kids have different mothers but the supposedly the whole crew is his harem including the maintenance crew, main ship pilots and etc.
It's basically a toss up to be honest. We don't even know if she even had sex with him as she's the only one that doesn't really show interest.
I thought Atra was going to be that annoying as fuck, childhood friend that I usually despise because of their tendencies to be jealous of any girl who even looks in MC's direction, acts like everyone's mother, and just gets in everyone's way by being a useless whiny child who complains about everything. Thankfully she turned out to be quite different. That makes me glad. .
>Samefagging because no argument.
>When she's the only girl that acts differently around Nase in the whole harem.
So show me where it's state that they fucked before?
>Having to resort to the "S-SHOW ME EXACT PROOF WITH SIGNED AND DATED DOCUMENTATION" defense
That's when you know you've lost the argument. But you'll continue to reply and embarrass yourself so you can defend the purity of a non-existent cartoon character.
this, this episode saved atra for me as a character
>bites her attackers
>deceives them to protect kudelia
>goes through torture without spilling the beans
>afterwards basically shrugs it off
>"this is nothing"
>"i got it every day when i was little"
atra a cute
Yeah she has high pain resistance and also bites when threatened, she really wasn’t as submissive as I originally thought
And considering Shino will soon start piloting the Ein magnet and will paint it pink, is almost sure that could bring problems
What's the best couple, faggots?
Mika x Orga, definitely.
This, Gjallarhorn where death sure she was Kudelia and Atra make damn sure they continue believing that by resisting the torture and being defiant, in fact for all we know next episode Gjallarhorn could still believe Atra is Kudelia and be actively looking for her, only Biscuit brother knew the true
the question is, would kudelia have done the same?
she really needs to step it up, the plot is revolving around her too. the story will fall apart soon if she doesn't.
My guess is the situation in the Colony is where they'll first clash. Gjallarhorn will send their troops to crush the revolt and Tekkadan begrudgingly gets involved. They'll get a OK from Naze once he finds out Gjallarhorn wants to kill the civilians.
i was already tired of her shit by the third episode. shes the one thing thats really stopping me enjoying this. They should have just locked her in a room until they get to earth.
No idea, not entire sure if Kudelia could take a beating, it mostly fall to the orphans having shit lives, I mean for all we know not even her own father ever hit her
Speaking of Turn A, all I saw was praise for it, but when I actually went and watched it I about fell asleep. Like that god awful plot and shitty romance on top of the worst gundam fights to date made me seriously doubt /a/'s taste.
Can you honestly tell me Turn A was an enjoyable experience? Did it even come close to 0079 or Unicorn? If you say yes to either you're objectively wrong.
I’m sure Kudelia will redeem herself, but yeah so far she has been a little disappointing
Well of course, though I dont think anything i could do would ever math the poundings she probably took at that brothel,
jesus christ, shut up already
the only way she can redeem herself is to understand that she is a puppet and that there really is nothing that she can do to help anyone other than to willingly allow to herself to be martyred for the sake of the revolution
>Wah some anons don't like my pretentious gundam show with shitty mech designs and a slow moving plot
>Wah I don't have any valid points besides calling them plebs
Other than Atra getting smacked around? No it wasn't. Comical stupid onii-san. No tension with the upcoming revolt. Boring CHAR clone, and worst of all, shitty directing.
The first 2 episodes were good.
>Fumiitan is obviously evil
>Kudelia literally whines about family to her during her crisis about family and then leaves
Can't wait till Fumitan decides Kudelia is her family and then sacrifices herself to save her next week during the revolt.
>Biscuit's brother is obviously going to betray them
>Doing another estranged sibling in 2 episodes
>Doing a "dramatic" scene were Biscuit picks his "fake" family over his "real" blood family
Were we actually supposed to feel anything during that last scene? That was hilariously bad.
>More love triangle baiting
>Even though one is actually a real person and one is shit, and we know the nice childhood friend will lose because it's Okada
Can't wait for Mika to hit her with "I love you... like a sister" or something. And let's not even start on how awful Mika's dialog was with Fumitan. You can't just take a borderline autistic character and then give them mysterious and profound insite into people when you want to drop hamfisted hints at your drama. Seriously, how the fuck does Okada keep getting hired? She's garbage beyond garbage.
I agree with most of what you said, but I thought it was interesting how Biscuit's brother is implied to be the working class's "Man on the Inside", and how he's flipping his shit not because he's generically evil after escaping the slums, but because he knows how badly Gallahorn will fuck everyone up. But I did feel like someone was literally fisting handful after handful of ham down my throat last episode.
i thought biscuits brother was trying to prevent the people from getting killed by handing kudelia to ghallihorn. in the last bit he was all 'im sorry naverno, all i can do now is...' so i reckon he has good intentions and is trying to prevent a blood bath
You can't make the audience give a shit about a character's plight when you introduce another blood brother who betrays one of the MCs in one way or another immediately after the last one and do it in a single episode.
Yes. When they talked about their man on the inside who was a "talented young man who moved up" and he was described that way by biscuit, and then he talked about Gjallihorn wiping them out, that's what we were supposed to get.
>Can't come back against a single criticism
>Talks down on other people's writing prowess while being unable to write a complete sentence with anything resembling proper grammar
>Can't finish reading a post he's replying to
Shouldn't expect anything more from the kind of idiots who eat up the shit Okada writes. You have to be clinically retarded to enjoy her screenplay. Don't worry, there will be plenty more melodrama, banally explained metaphors, and horrible dialog to highlight her shit themes for you to enjoy.
And what in my posts stated anything to the contrary? That he betrayed them? Regardless of his reasons, he turned his little brother in and was willing to have his friend killed.
and here we go. the typical shitter retort.
>you think okada is great
no i don't particulary think that. and yes, it is banal.
so banal, and yet you still didn't get it. now what does that say about you?
and then you wonder why i'm not bothering with arguments.
i'll just say this: this time the brotherly drama was handled a lot better than last time. it wasn't about betrayal in the first place, it wasn't last time either. but this time the motivations are much more convincing.
Which board did you blow in from?
>and yet you still didn't get it
Please point out anything I've misrepresented without projecting and putting words in my mouth.
>this time the brotherly drama was handled a lot better than last time
No it was not.
> it wasn't about betrayal in the first place, it wasn't last time eithe
That doesn't change the plot point that got used. How can you be so stupid that you can't see that?
So you're from /v/?
I didn't say he was right or wrong. He betrayed his brother for his cause, and then his brother had to choose between his blood family and his newfound family. That was what the drama culminated in for the "dramatic" ED plug scene, and it was garbage. His circumstances don't change what happened.
>He betrayed his brother for his cause, and then his brother had to choose between his blood family and his newfound family.
None of that was Savarin's fault or intention, stop blaming him for things over which he had zero influence. He didn't trun Biscuit in, he wasn't even interrogated. He turned in "Kudelia" as a piece offering for Gjallarhorn, he doesn't owe her any loyalty. I think you've gotten completely wrong idea about the end scene, nobody was being presented as responsible or "guilty" for what's happening. Both brothers were intended to be seen as victims of circumstance.
>He betrayed his brother for his cause
yes, but that's not the point. the point is wether he had a good reason for doing what he did. and with his background and current position, he did have a good reason to do that.
he has no reason to put "kudelia" over the community he grew up in. also from his point of view, biscuit brought the problem by bringing th3 weapons.
it isn't at all the same as last time, where the brother basically just died in an accident.
>None of that was Savarin's fault or intention
And that objectively has 0 impact on how the scene played out, or the order of events.
>stop blaming him for things over which he had zero influence
Shit writing? No, that's the only thing I'm blaming anyone for, and I'm not blaming him for that.
>He didn't trun Biscuit in, he wasn't even interrogated
>Locked in a room with your hands bound
>He turned in "Kudelia" as a piece offering for Gjallarhorn, he doesn't owe her any loyalty.
And turning your family's family in is an act of betray, regardless of reasons.
>I think you've gotten completely wrong idea about the end scene
Nope. The entire theme of the show is the bonds of the new family they've found, and that scene was to show that it was stronger than his blood family connection because, while grateful for what his brother did for him, he still went with his new family.
> responsible or "guilty" for what's happening
Holy shit anon, stop putting words in my mouth. When did I say any of that?
>the point is wether he had a good reason for doing what he did
That was never the point, you mouthbreathing idiots. How the hell can you miss the entire fucking driving theme of the show like that when it gets brought up a dozen times by 5 different people each episode?
for some reason you are only looking at it from biscuits personl point of view.
typical self inesert shitter. i bet you complain about ntr in other series as well.
look, there is absolutely no reason why he would consider kudelia "familys family". not when he thinks that she (and bisuit) are responsible for the weapons. not when the lives of his old community is at stake. as the mediator for both sides, he probably understood best how urgent it was, that's why he acted. that's why he lost it when kudelia was revealed to be atra.
Because it isn't allowed for a show to have more than a singular theme. Because no event or drama is allowed to be interpreted from more than one angle, the theme angle. Because the theme overrides all nuance such as justification for a character motivation.
>for some reason you are only looking at it from biscuits personl point of view.
>typical self inesert shitter. i bet you complain about ntr in other series as well.
Not even going to pretend to address the actual point instead of strawmaning like a retard, are we? Ok, we're done now.
>Because it isn't allowed for a show to have more than a singular theme
This one? No. Go watch literally just this one episode and look at how many times they use the word family, or a word for siblings.
>Because no event or drama is allowed to be interpreted from more than one angle,
So we're supposed to sympathize with the guy who got half an episode of screentime and suddenly start caring about his plight? I acknowledged his reasons, but that doesn't mean I have to have any attachment to him as a person.
I have literally, never once brought up the idea of justification or being in the right or wrong. Why are you so desperately clinging to this strawman? Answer this question directly and concisely without strawmaning again.
>w-what is all this bullshit about "justifications"?
>i-it's a strawman!
let me put it in a way your cute little brain can understand:
going back to your first, initial post: yes, you were supposed to care, and that's because this time, all sides had real reasons for doing what they did. that resulted in real conflict and genuine drama.
not saying it's high art or anything, but it's at least a lot more compelling than last time, where they were just battling directly and dying by accident.
by the way, what happened to your "it's the exact same sibling drama shit as before"? you'll still hold to that?
from the beginning, what you wrote made it clear that you were too preoccupied with trying to outwit okada rather than actually paying attention to the show. you're the anime equivalent of a speedreader.
>ah! another sibling drama. okada must be running out of ideas
next time maybe just watch the damn thing instead or playing the wannabe expert.
