Can I become an anime translator? Does it pay well? I wouldn't even make shitty mistakes like this.
>these fucking translations
You've got to be kidding me.
Simply baffling mistranslations.
Here >>136331590 Lisha didn't repair it because Lux is a member of that Order, but because she wants him to become one.
Here >>136331691 Krulcifer (lol this name) says she isn't going because she's and exchange student and they aren't going because they aren't members of the Order. Translation makes it all about Lux and his sister.
Note how the first mistranslation says Lux is in the order and the second scene (correctly) says he isn't yet.
Here >>136331738 it's "Because I won't make you be all alone.", e.g. Lux reassuring his sister he won't die, something completely different from the translation.
Here >>136331854 it's more like "So you think you became a hero?" or "So now you're acting like a hero?", something completely different from the translation.
>Does it pay well?
No. Crunchyroll has former fansubbers, who do it for low pay out of passion. FUNi has normal translators who also get low pay, but they accept the low pay because they're shitty and couldn't get a better job.
Well... that's a shame.
I think it's your mistake to watch crap to begin with. I bet the simulcast management went
>nobody is going to watch this shit anyway, just make up some believable lines and be done with it
>Be a non-EOP
>See this thread
AHAHAHAHAHAHA IS THIS SHIT FOR REAL? IS EVERY SERIES LIKE THIS?
EOP GENOCIDE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE.
I've seen CR pull off some terrible subs before, but this I think is a new low even for them.
The problem is whoever translated this shit show could be doing the translation for your favorite show next season.
Now think about the massive amount of translation errors that have gone by unnoticed during your unenlightened days
English only pleb.
It's a term used by autistic neckbeards, in the /DJT/ generals.
They study Japanese for 1 month, then think they can speak it fluently.
They go rampant shitposting with "EOP", feeling superior to everyone who watches subs.
Even if you know every language in the world but Japanese, you're still an EOP to them. Because you didn't learn grade school level Japanese with /DJT/ autists.
Further proof those generals should go to /jp/.
If you see someone use it as an insult, redirect them there or to /DJT/. They need to fuck off to their containment.
>It's not spoonfeeding if the info cannot be found through google.
Are you fucking retarded? If you lurked longer than a month you would have already known.
You should lurk for 2 years before posting, dumb redditor.
Yup, it's the only good part about /djt/. People looking to learn should just copy the OP and never go back there again. Or at least never go back there with the intention of asking for help with anything other than technical stuff like Anki problems or whatever.
Yes, it's only fair to put this much on the line for a commitment to their profession, If they are too scared to reveal their names because they know they did a half ass job, they shouldn't be translating at all.
