Is still undeniable current works have less substance than before but is not entirely the blame of writers. The current cheap as Fuck shows are partly a product of their enviroment. Anime now is less about making a stand alone work and more about testing waters to sell other stuff resulting in more half added and shorter products. Producers are less willing to take risks with ambitious carefully done projects and play safe by throwing lots of short stuff and giving following to whatever sticks on the wall. Anime has always been full of ludicrous and silly premises but formerly those wacky stories got more attention and care put onto them.

/tech/, /n/, /a/, /k/ and /pol/ (in some regards minus the obvious mod bias and countless stickies) are far better in quality then the counters here, however again they are slow. 8/a/ I can actually talk about anime without the tripfaggotry and cancer that exists with 80% of threads here however its slow as balls like a forum, the same applies for every board minus /pol/. 8/pol/ doesn't have flags or the retarded /int/posting and shills /pol/ does so its automatically better.
Hell 8/v/ even bans console war threads and actually plays video games, that's more then you can say about the cancer that is /v/ (provided the owner Mark is a total kike).
If anything I'd say 4chan is the normalfag imageboard nowadays (if you don't believe me spend 10 minutes on /b/). However /a/ is still good for manga dump threads so unfortunately I still crosspost and am cancerous, but sadly I'm right especially when the kike mods allow RWBY /co/shit on /a/.

That's a valid point and that's why I say the perception of decline in quality of anime is a product of this enviroment that allows a lot of subpar products to be released. True is that we still get good stuff but Is now harder to spot and in the past even non-masterpieces felt better put together. To put it on easier words. Shit anime back then was better or at least more carefully done than shit anime today. It was easier to have a good time picking a random title back in the day. I guess the arise of social networks has something to with that as well.

Their /a/ is just way too slow to be enjoyable, I've tried to do threads there and participate in ones I like but it's just so slow, and nobody there seems to share my tastes in anime either, about any works I like there's not really anyone to talk with there, bumps are very rare and it ends up being me occasionally bumping and then maybe sometimes one guy shows up to make an actual reply.
It's just boring.

I don't want anything to do with any /pol/, their /v/ is really not different enough from the /v/ here and that's a problem.
Last I checked, instead of having Doom threads on a /vr/ board, they have a literal /doom/ board and it went months between posts. The Doom threads on /vr/ is better in every way, because there's actually people there.

TV Broadcasting companies noticed you can get good ratings late night time simply by putting anime there.
LN/Manga/video game Publishers noticed the best/cheapest way to advertise your product is by creating anime adaptations.

Everything has an anime nowadays, it's insane, you can't expected them to be good considering most of them are pure advertisement.

That doesn't mean good creators are dead(well, Satoshi Kon is), good, well produced shows are still there.
