World Trigger! Been a while! And once again, I'm quite a bit late. Sorry.

oh, right, Yuuma's time limit
now I'm not sure I want Gal to succeed and destroy the away ship
Funky bullets. First time we've seen something like that.
I see it more as the "sweeping up the whatevers" scene. This isn't like Konami tearing through rabits like tissue paper, after we saw how ridiculously tough rabits were.
The anime has abysmal pacing, it's disgusting.
That said, Osamu is still pretty much a weakling, but he recently got a new idea. We've yet to see how he'll use it, but considering how he's legit excited, he'll probably do some impressive stuff.
That said, what he'll do is still be ultimately a support and command unit, not a person who gets hits in. That's Yuuma's job.
>Does Osamu ever get better?
Somewhat yes. We haven't seen what he can do more recently though. In general the manga has a faster pacing than the anime but it is still slower paced overall.
Off to read the manga then, typically i would read the manga first but i made a deal with my friend to watch the anime since i forced him to watch HNK.
As in Hokuto no Ken? Because then you sure got the shit end of the bargain.
Ha! That's right! I totally forgot about that ability!
Love you, Kazama.
Also, this is getting awesome.
>Because then you sure got the shit end of the bargain.
Yah, i know be he was one of those guys that got of the toonami band wagon years ago then was reintroduced into anime by the new gateway anime on netflix and shit. I told him he needed to watch the Man's Bible of animes before anything else and he was like watch World Trigger then.
The Only things i disliked about World Trigger so far was Jin's Meta gaming and Osuma's development.
Well, might as well make it official.
From now on, instead of variations of the same powerset, everyone is going to have super special custom triggers with unique powers, just like in most action Shonen.
This isn't a complaint, I prefer it when they introduce new elements into fights.
Time for a boss battle.
Are you hype? I'm overwhelmingly hype.
I hope Konami's comment means we'll see Reiji's full arms in this arc instead of teasing us even longer.
Kinda minor thing to point out, but I really like the subtle way Ashihara draws electricity with super thin white lines. Also, first shields and now backpack triggers? I love those designs. At first I thought the future where Tachikawa gets cut in half would be jinxed, but those backpack blades and the other guy standing back on higher ground are making me reconsider... I hope Tachikawa shows his Senku strategically to attack the dude with the weird satellite looking things instead of just giving away that he has a long range attack, if not that might be what seals his fate. That or he should coordinate with Konami's meteors.
Since they confirmed they're going to animate the next rank war, I'm thinking they might just do another filler afterward, or try to end it temporarily with a "we'll get stronger!" thing right before the next invasion but after Osamu and Chika find their new triggers to use/train with. They might be able to do this invasion though if it's done in the manga by the time they get to it in the anime, because there's at least 23 chapters of material right now. There was also some decent filler (more like fluff) like in the Nasu Squad episodes or Rinji's abduction they could also do for some extra padding without messing with the pacing. Honestly, I just don't want the anime to stop completely... it's grown on me, even this filler arc was enjoyable enough and there's some budget in most of the action scenes now.
I think the current filer arc is going to end here in the next couple episodes which means they will probably do up the the end of this arc with the Galopoulans then go into another filler arc.
I've gotten used to it too so I don't mind if it goes on. The filler characters are shit but I liked seeing everyone else in color and voiced. Some scenes were nice too like that Narasaka-Toma sniping or Midorikawa and Kitora-chan's episode.
Yeah, I know what you mean. I like that even if it's kind of contrived, they look for reasons to stuff in characters people like, like Nasu and Kuma in that pool episode. Seeing Kitora in a fast food uniform and sporty swimsuit was worth everything. I also like the background art for Ergatis. Those were some nice sand dunes and sunsets.
>Seeing Kitora in a fast food uniform and sporty swimsuit
I assume Kitora wears a swimsuit because she goes swimming with everyone else, but what possible reason could she have for wearing a fast food uniform?
filler girl wanted to go shopping so they made a trion mall for her.
The most recent episode foreshadowed Chika's problem with shooting humans. I guess that's not a bad way to ease back into the canon story.
I'm guessing Osamu's excuse for being more proactive in targeting other players in the next match is gonna be "Oh I just got a lot of experience by helping save a town from a massive trion soldier". I would've preferred Kikuchihara's speech about pulling your own weight, but that would be setting expectations way too high.
She's so cute.
It's a manga, be happy you get lots of things other manga don't give you.
But c'mon if you expect it to be exactly like a RL army then you should just enlist.
This was already known since forever, I don't know why are you surprised.
Border has those triggers because they stole them from neighbors, but they don't have much of a technology to develop triggers, or money. Tamakoma-2 are all experimental if I remember correctly.
Let's say they got Hyuse's trigger, that doesn't mean their technology is good enough to replicate it.
Neighbors on the other hand are miles ahead in technology so to them developing new triggers doesn't seem to be an issue.
It does seem weird to choose Suwa as a leader considering he doesn't seem like the most capable captain t choose from. You'd think the higher ranked officer like Arashiyama would want to take lead or be ore suited. Ninomiya ended up in charge so I guess it worked out in the end.
I think that would require he general skill level of B-Rank to go up.B-Rank agents tend to focus on acquiring mastery of a certain attack trigger and then expand outward to improve their fighting style.
They chose Suwa who's the most experienced. He then allowed the smartest guy to handle the situation. Of course the humorous part wouldn't be there realistically but otherwise I don't see the issue
Now that we know Meteor can't be used up top Nasu and Kumagai are going to really have a difficult time. If they lose, Wen will join the other two down below and put even more pressure on the attackers.
I think shooters can shape the tofu blob into whatever shape they want, like Ninomiya and his pyramid shaped bullets. Though I can't tell whether it has any actual combat function, or if it's just aesthetic.
I think the point was to end the debate by having the highest ranking captain present picking the lowest ranking captain present to be in charge. Who of course promptly put the person best suited to the job in charge.
Jin's meta game is too strong for anyone to stop but we do see him compromise the future quite a bit for a decent ending
Osamu's development is so slow but great
I don't know if it still in the archives but if you look at /a/'s reaction to chapter 113 you can see that we are all Osamu fags
What kind of leader will s/he be I wonder?
I personally think that s/he should be a really strong gunner as out of all of the trigger clases gunners have the worst luck
every cool gunner is an all-rounder expect Suwa
>I don't know if it still in the archives but if you look at /a/'s reaction to chapter 113 you can see that we are all Osamu fags
That was 112. Someone should make a post collection image of all the salt in case the archive goes down
I swear whenever that kid does something the post count in the World Trigger thread on /a/ quadruples in size
Sadly all the salt was lost
Archive.Moe went offline remeber
That chapter also began the rise of Godzuma
Have you Prayed to Godzuma today?
Dear great Godzuma,
Please grant Yuma five more years of life so that Tamakoma II has enough time to git gud and recruit another OP member into their team
May their lead lightning and spider traps cause hell for all the teams that oppose them
P.S., Pease be a playable character in Smash Borders. Grace the game with your presence so I can make you wear a sniper kitty on your head
It is time to decide which world trigger arc is /a/s favorite
>I remember I heard a lot of good stuff when it began
That's weird. Generally the series beginning is considered its weakest part, but it gets a lot better. If you like fun Science fantasy and don't mind a large cast the ngo for it. The fights focus on strategy, teamwork, and precision and for the most part are pretty satisfying. Also the series rankings is actually the cause of the authors health problems.
It's in the bottom 5 deliberately every week. The author has health issues and takes regular breaks. It isn't actually ranked, basically.
It sells very well. It's an amazing series, but the first 20 chapters can be rough to get through. Funny, since you said you heard good things when it began.
The fights are very good. Emphasis on teamwork and strategy and they actually call out the typical my feelings > your feelings stuff that happens in most battle manga.
You just reminded me about Chika not using the slow moving gun that turns people into lead balls.
It'd be so fucking great, just get Osamu to thrust people into them. Or use them as extra traps with the spider wire things.
Especially considering only two people besides Chika know of it's existence. It's the perfect secret weapon.
Nothing is stopping her from using it like a minefield or a bluff, so we may be in for a surprise later. But it's not like she's been using Black Lightning either, since we gotta wait until the Neighbors leave before we can see the fruits of their efforts.
