I didn't even care for her as a character that much but goddamn flower girl is cute as fuck
It was almost a Karamatsu impression
I'm so glad the girlymatsus are gonna be a recurring skit
Choroice is cute
Totty wasn't even shit this week.
>Would you like to quench your thirst with this blessing that my Mommy bestowed on you.
What did Karamatsu mean by this?
The Interview skit was too long and the girlmatsu skit was too short. I did like the flower part even if it didn't make much sense for a while. I did lose it when they finally showed what a Karamatsu girl would look like it.
Does anyone wanna make Osoko transparent here?
What exactly is Ichimatsu doing to Karamatsu in >>136307491 ?
It reminds me of a comic where Ichimatsu drinks his beer, spits it back into the cup, and makes Karamatsu drink it.
Is this a thing in Japan or just Ichimatsu being his usual disgusting self?
I think the previous comic I'm thinking of made it seem like it had some sort of BL connotation.
Episodes 37-45 of the '88 series are up on nyaa. It's not seeded though.
AU can be really great, but the interview had a lackluster premise (Jyuushimatsu goes to an interview and is Jyuushimatsu) that didn't have standout execution (except for the one shot of giant Juicy)
I enjoy the girlymatsus a lot since it's a little like watching a show parody my sister and her friends when she was younger
Just got the my Animage February Issue in the mail today. Will be uploading all the pics from my phone. I tried scanning them, but the files/photos were too big to upload.
On the contrary, with the proper execution it could have been entertaining. Imagine Juicy trying to do a group interview or attempt those little bonding/team exercise games. Not that butt wiggle which got old fast. That actually reminded me of the earlier episodes with its inability to let a joke go (Saw/Dekapanman, for one). Osomatsu has really improved lately and has been consistently hilarious but this skit didn't go down so well.
The fact that Juicy was Juicy and Ichi was Ichi whereas the others were roleplaying didn't mesh well either. It shouldn't have been an AU.
WIll we ever get focus on the other brothers like Oso , Choro , and a bit of Kara?
good to known that the 80s series is slowly being ripped, but the rips themselves led to be desired, i mean they have frame issues, they seemed to run at 15-20 fps instead of 24fps, plus they are interleaced, and not in the squashed.
I guess they are rips from the spanish dvds, but cmon, they should do a better job.
And of course I notice something wrong with it as soon as I post. Fixed.
Kara gets focus everytime but it's only to make him feel more miserable. I'd like a proper focus on the three older bros. Kara and Oso had one but Choro got nothing with them.
So are Iyami and Totoko just not going to show up anymore?
Choro was supposed to have Virgin Hero last cour, but it got moved to the DVD.
I'd love an episode focusing on the three older Matsus, though. I like them more than the younger half.
>and her appearances just make her pettier and pettier
But that is what's so great about her.
so what's up with this scene?
was it because
chibita has been crying?
Honestly, I felt this episode was a little weak. I know Chibita's part was supposed to be "feels," but it honestly felt too short and kind of shallow. And this is coming from a -kun and -san Chibita fan.
The only good part of this episode was Girlymatsu, and even then it was a little too short for me.
Who /otome/ here?
Does anybody else get the feeling that the writers are pushing IchiJyushi with the expectation that it would be the most popular pairing (not even necessarily yaoi, just the combination of the two)
Which is all well and good, except she's a huge asshole with no karma coming her way, which is why she's still worst girl. The show may say she's a huge as loser, but I want to see more segments where everything blows up in her face.
Comedy quality is slipping. The interview skit is just Jyushimatsu being Too Weird for polite society and also breaking the bounds of reality too easily (two weeks in a row, boring), and Chibita's flower girl is tragic romance done poorly.
Girlymatsu was good and accurate. Some group dynamics transcend culture and just part of the girl experience.
>Next is an Ichi "oh god here comes the forced drama" matsu episode featuring that fucking cat again
Somebody said they wanted a collection of all the pages of this manga. The raws from the site are a bit small, but I put them all into a .zip file.
It takes about 2 years to bring a game from conception to the market, I think. We have that long to become fluent in japanese! ORA!
I also have this terrible hobbie of playing otome games and I dropped nearly everything they've released
or played in general, not just their games. They're milking their best seller so much that they made a new version that was actually a two parter without telling the fanbase about it. They are one of the worst companies ever because they suck the fanbase's money without any shame.
Nitro+ is getting close with swordsluts but they've been improving lately.
What is the order of the matsus here?
From top to bottom it looks like Jyushi, Choro, Ichi, and then Oso and Todo?
I can't tell who are the last two.
I'm certainly not complaining. Love their combo.
A Neo Armstrong Cyclone Jet Armstrong Cannon.
They're just the biggest and have all the best artists. Their pool of writers is still mediocre though they've been slowly improving with Nishimura Yuu and Takagi Ayumi being the stand-outs. Takuyo is better.
Who voiced her?
Can't you fools recognize a Neo Armstrong Cyclone Jet Armstong Cannon when you see one?
Tried adjusting the size in photoshop and preview, but the file kept getting corrupted/wouldn't upload. I'm just going to screenshot and crop them.
Alright then, next question: who's who in this picture?
Episode 6's quality was kinda weird if you look back on it.
Looks like twitter is already hyping the next episode
>F6 designs only
>no Totoko route
>gross characteristics removed
>no table shitting
>no fappymatsu/cherrymatsu jokes
>Matsus being transformed to generic otomeshit husbandos
>probably set in high school (they did this with Hetalia and K)
>essentially a product which the first episode parodied
after that is another Totty episode.
>next week's a degenerate ichikara episode
Kinda. But they were always together as kids so it just made sense to write them that way. That's why their colors are opposite of each other and they have opposite personalities. It just works. Same goes for Oso and Choro and Todo and Kara.
Best pairing best Matsus.
F6 was set in a high school, though. Aside from that, it probably won't take itself seriously, knowing -San, .
Choro mouth isn't some sort of disability it just seem to be his natural expression when he isn't really showing other emotions. Now for the eyes I have no clue why its big or small sometimes.
Jesus fucking christ, no. I hope they don't feed these degenerate fujos. "Karamatsu marriage" was trending on twitter and they were all complaining and/or imaginating it was with Ichimatsu instead.
Oh I was going for more the angle he gets more screen time I am fine with his episodes.
When will we get our Karamatsu episode filled with K I N D N E S S?
That Jyuushimatsu scene was 10/10 I haven't laughed like that for ages.
God bless that lovable bastard.
>Best pairing best Matsus.
Patrician taste bro
I don't want their faults downplayed, they're popular as is for a reason. If they pick an Otomate writer out of a hat it's going to be irredeemable garbage for sure. Even if the staff are fans (which they probably are) they still have certain genre conventions to adhere to. There's no point in lightly parodying the genre in-game if you're still going to go full on otome because that's not what any of us are here for.
If it were a company other than Otomate I would be slightly hyped but as is, nope. If they really do set it in high school I will be rectal pained.
As far as an actual episode/segment focus goes this is our split. It's actually been relatively even.
09. Jyushimatsu (with a little bit of Oso focus)
I only counted "canon" skits not AU/roleplay skits.
So all things considered it's about time for another Ichimatsu episode, more development/focus on him would be nice.
Like I said, episode 6 was kinda weird. This certainly isn't a face that Ichimatsu would normally make. And then he's back to "normal" a few seconds later when the camera angle changes.
So lets girlsmatsu going on a date with the brothers. How would you like it go? Would prefer they just date themselves. Or have them date the other brothers.
Totoko will be the MC of course but as the game goes on you realize she is just a delusional neet as you see the ikemen turn back into what they really are.
Red and Blue go so well together
I don't think they care about the popular opinion. They have their OTP, they're just subtle about it which is a cool. The show is filled with minor Ichijuicy things yet Ichikara is all over the promotional material because that's what people want.
Like I said, they drew him with his default expression a second later, which is what makes it weird.
And Ichi USUALLY doesn't break his dead fish eyes expression unless it's highly exaggerated like when he throws Iyami and Chibita in the tiger cage, or when they collectively find out about Jyuushi's girlfriend, or when they're terrorizing Totty at Sutabaa. I know it's not an unbreakable rule or anything, but it was just strange for this scene.
I wouldn't mind it if Ichimatsu wasn't always portrayed as some sort of edgy rapist while Karamatsu is your typical crybaby uke.
KaraIchi doesn't make much more sense but at least it's cute.
Seriously. Usually the pairings I dislike just annoy me, but characterization is so beyond wrong in IchiKara that it boggles the mind. Karamatsu's appeal is his bombastic nature, if you take that shit away he's not Kara anymore.
I always assumed IchiKara shippers were Ratio/Birthday shippers going through withdrawal. Guess I was wrong.
Don't like it either.
Seeing Hamatora for the first time in forever brought back a rush of unpleasant memories of season 2.
Complexity is attractive even if it's just gay cartoons.15 episodes and there's still mystery in the intensity of Ichi's hateboner and Ichi himself is one of the interesting brothers. No nice but transparent teamup achieves that.
Why bother arguing about pairings when none of them aside from DekaDayo will ever be canon?
>genuinely supportive of each other while the other brothers think they're oddballs
>balance each other out
>both have similar sexual preferences/seem to be compatible
>Ichi acts like an S to the other brothers but is truly an M
>noticeably doesn't act like an S to Juicy when they're ill
>still gives him the 'reward'
I'm surprised I was able to perfectly scan this page.
Let's be real here, all the younger bros are bottoms. The Mr. Flag scene and the spoon 2DI poster are evidence enough of that.
Which Matsu pairing is the the most fucking stupid?
Besides all of them, of course.
Dekapan x Dayon is shit and both characters are shitty and unfunny. Fuck off.
>Turning Juicy into a bottoming moaning moeblob
>Regardless of pairing
It's like you hate fun.
Why do fujo pairings have such static tops and bottoms? Why can't characters switch?
If you cant get it, dont worry anon. I have a copy myself that Im going to get really HQ scans from when I get to work tommorrow. I'll dump it next thread.
This pairing being canon fucking when?
As a Karamatsu girl this episode upset me. How am I supposed to wash this bad taste out of my mouth?
Is Karamatsu the thirstiest?
I'm not surprised, nor do I begrudge fujoshit for their interest in the pairing. What I do fucking hate is that when IchiKara shippers ship the two, Ichimatsu and Karamatsu are nothing like Ichimatsu and Karamatsu.
As little as the pairing makes sense(at least as far as actual shared screentime) at least (most) KaraIchi fans keep in line with canon characterization. IchiKara though?
What may I ask, is the point of a Karamatsu without his insane retard confidence? His dramatic over the top nature? Turning that into a weeping doormat blob of a spineless uke is a fucking travesty of characterization.
And it's definitely no better to reduce someone as complex as Ichi to someone worse than your typical Yaoishit game villain love interest, especially when he's actually insecure and vulnerable as hell.
Like holy fuck, ship all the IchiKara you want, find every contrived fucking reason to get them to bang, just... Make it actually Ichimatsu and Karamatsu.
Because it's an issue of characterization. The dynamics are completely different depending on who tops and who bottoms in fujoshit so works featuring the same couple but in different configurations can (and usually tend to be) very unalike. This is of course not a rule, but it tends to be the case most of the time.
>What may I ask, is the point of a Karamatsu without his insane retard confidence? His dramatic over the top nature? Turning that into a weeping doormat blob of a spineless uke is a fucking travesty of characterization.
It's because of episode 2, anon.
And last one! Unless you also want to see AOP as well.
The threads were the best part of watching that show, they were so comfy and the speculation was fun. Forever mad the theories of
flower girl raping Art nonstop while she was taking care of him and then NTRing Nicenever came true.
S2 was so fucking bad that at the end only thing everyone wanted was Birthday to survive.
It's a miracle he did, I've never seen an anime character with so many deathflags make it out alive.
If you're a huge Osomatsu-san fan, I'd buy it especially if you can read nippon. It comes with a few front and back mini posters (including the one with the matsus sharing a long scarf in the winter/snow) and a set of 6 matsu clear files you see on the cover page.
Oso's screentime/focus been pretty limited, but even some of those have been kind of significant to his character (ep 5 with Ichi, ep 9 with Juicy).
Luckily, we might get Oso screentime in ep16, considering the preview/descriptions.
That aside, I'd really like to see Hatabou involved in another episode in the near future.
There is something wrong with you, if you still need examples after all those delicious ass shots.
Oso is difficult to separate from his brothers in- and out of universe. They've been able to deliver his content in episodes that are The episodes for others characters though so it's been all good this far though. Episode 2 was largely introduction.
> at least (most) KaraIchi fans keep in line with canon characterization.
You sure? Because all I've seen on that end is Kara playing therapist to a vulnerable, poor baby tsundere Ichi. And a damned good therapist at that.
We were all
surprised he lived anon. That is the only thing we wanted from that shitty ass s2. Moral was much better than Arto
I remember people wanting s1 colors back too.
Thanks anon, I needed more Oso reaction pictures.
How does this series have so many fantastic girls? And why can't any of them end up happy? Hearing Chibita weep at the end was heartbreaking.
Is this really going to be what Osomatsu threads are going to become? A bunch of novel length essays about how one ship is worse than the others? Stop your shitty shipwars already or go back to tumblr.
Gotya say, none of the 2nd cour episodes have been that funny. They're still entertaining, but nowhere near Bathhouse Quiz, 5 Demons, and Rental Girlfriend level.
Today's feels segment is also mediocre. I can see the twist coming from a mile away. AV-chan still best.
I feel that the interview skit went on for way too long. The Girlymatsu skit was weak too.
I enjoyed Chibita's date greatly though. The casts interactions with girls that aren't utterly disgusted with them is always enjoyable even without the comedic factor.
It was nice to see Karamatsu leaving his brothers to see what was up with Chibita as well, given their past interactions. Fell a bit flat when he went to get his own flower girl but nonetheless.
Yeah 2nd cour doesn't feel as funny or fresh. Maybe it's because of the rushed schedule for writing? Some segments are nice like Chibita's date but some of the funny segments just take up too much time. Like this episode's Jyushimatsu could probably have been cut in half and gone on to a better skit.
Yeah, you can definitely feel that the skits lost some of their punch this week. I laughed at some of the Chibita one and the Interview, but that was about it.
I can only hope that this was the calm before whatever's going to happen in next ep.
In the 80s series bad things happens to her towards the second half of teh series.
I figure it out, they are not DVD rips, they are Stream rips from whatever mediocre japanese only stream site they had the series, hence why at times the audio quality downgrades and the aspect ratio becomes even squashed, heck, the Chibita Special has fricking NicoNico-like annotations.
Such a shame we are NEVER going to have proper DVD rips
In other news, Oso's looking a little
Juicy is too strong and energetic to stay bottom for long. He'll still be at it long after any of the others passed out from exhaustion. Still with that goofy smile on his face.
Totty fags vs Choro fags
Learn to love each other my dear ChoroTodo's. Come, let me teach you the ways.
>no Juicy accidentally getting a job with the yakuza and being called aniki
I think I'll stop reading fan theories for upcoming episodes, this way I won't end up disappointed for literally no reason again.
I thought Joshimatsu-san was going to be a one time gag/skit, but I'm glad it came back again.
Jyushiko is growing on me. Even if she does sort of look like a furby.
So they all live in Tokyo. Never knew that.
Choro gets bulled directly by his brothers. Kara its more of an indirect bullying. So in a way they can both relate. Choro won't admit it though.
>Why don't we go quench our thirst using the grace that Mommy has bestowed upon me?
>Or, perhaps you would rather have a taste of the maddened fruit?
I usually never see Chorofags instigate the fights its usually Totty that has to start shit for some reason.
Good job! You've got the hang of it!
Since my life is in shambles I'll reply seriously: "Complete desperate loser" actually comes close to the truth. They're all different flavors of losers, after all. Karamatsu is a dumbfuck who wants attention, to put simply. He's always putting on airs and dramatizing everything he does, as expected of the former drama club member. But despite trying so hard to get people to pay attention to him, he's just a simple-minded narcissist idiot who isn't that bad of a person that can show kindness, and unlike Choro and Totty, he's probably too stupid to be two-faced. That mix of flamboyance and sympathy is what makes him a cute character to his fans.
The guy doesn't really have much to do. He probably felt bad but had no real way to cheer him up. Then he got desperate with the flower girl thing. Chibi had good intentions and did not expect anything to come out of it. Unlike Kara who only did it for the reward. As punishment he got the Karagirl.
Having a brother like this I would probably ignore his ass as well. That doesn't mean I don't care about him but I am not gonna stroke his ego either. Imagine him coming to school with his painful outfits and you being related to him makes you just as bad. Its probably worse for the brothers since they all look alike making it very painful.
Maruman Croquis (pic related) and Zuan sketchbooks.
I really wish they'd do some more original art for the matsu merch
(like the Kirby Croquis books, which are cute as fuck).
>Karamatsu will never compliment your smile and ask you to adopt him
In the upcoming otome game he will
I wonder if we will get any reverts of the characters but still in the F6 world.
After reading this thread I expected the episode to be shit, but it was actually pretty decent.
And Totty is still the best straight man.
Kara is one of the most pathetic brothers (if not the most pathetic one) because even if he's treated like trash for most part, he still seeks for attention and affection no matter the deal. He's good hearted to the way he's way to passive about what happens to him, making him very miserable looking in general, that's why he got into an abusive relationship with his flower girl and wouldn't abandon her. I wish he got some development out of this episode about his passive way of thinking but it's a comedy show so it'll never change.
He probably means why don't we go out for some drinks with the pocket money mommy gave me. There was an interesting Karamatsu translator for the lines he told the person at the employment office in episode 2.
One day he's gonna flip his shit, I swear to god.
I would suck anyone's dick if they typeset this
According to Animage's February issue, each matsus' feature episodes are:
Oso - The Calming Osomatsu
Kara - The Karamatsu Incident
Choro - Let's Become Independent
Ichi - ESP Kitty
Jyushi - Jyushimatsu Falls in Love
Todo - Todomatsu and the 5 Demons
How would you rate these episodes /a/nons?
Todomatsu and the 5 demons > Jyuushimatsu falls in love > The Karamatsu incident > Calming Detective Osomatsu > Let's become independent (which I don't even remember) > ESP kitty
Totty may be worst, but his episode was best
