You have 5 seconds to explain why you aren't watching AOTS
/a/ was eating this up, most positive reviews on it when it first aired that I have ever seen in all my time on this site but now they're crying fujoshit about it. What the hell happened?
Cause G4 doesn't exist anymore
First off, why are you asking me why I'm watching a stupid G4 GAMMURRR show like that.
And second, the crap's been off the air for three years. What the fuck is up with /a/ and their love of Attack of the Show?
Yotaro and Konatsu arc is back in volume 5 of the manga and continues afterwards (currently the manga has 9 volumes out).
Volumes 2, 3 and 4 are set in the past compared to volume 1 and tell the story of the older cast members.
the more an anime is shitposted the better it is.
as soon as they saw rakugo getting praised on /a/ their autism kicked in and they went full retard
This is probably continuation from shitposting central a few hours ago where /v/, /r9k/, and tumblr messed up the whole thread. It stayed on the top catalog until bump limit and no mods bothered.
it was fun though
The people enjoying this are actually laughing at the rakugo right?
I'm not sure if you can do that without understanding the japanese, but due to the good reception I'm assuming you're finding some enjoyment in the actual rakugo.
That's good to know. I hope the anime sells well then. And in hopes someone starts translating the manga.
I did in the first episode and during Sukeroku's perfomance. It was mostly their body language and expressions that did it for me, plus hearing the audience laugh I believe it can put you in the mood. The direction really helped deliver the different characters they had to act.
I felt horrible during Yakumo's performance. I can't stand watching people bomb performances.
Same. I had to pause when I saw his trembling hands and the during the whole thing I felt bad for him. But it's obvious he is going to get better later on so I wanna see what changes his feelings towards rakugo.
>mfw I just want to discuss Shouwa-era rakugo but instead read 100+ posts of a single neckbeard panicking about a fucking asian cartoon
Don't know what DEEN will do. Maybe they'll intersperse some present timeline shit in with the flashbacks.
I noticed that a lot of the stuff in the PVs already happened before the flashback in the manga timeline but didn't appear in the show. Maybe those were clips from the 2nd OVA that I can't find uploaded anywhere on the internet.
Mods can't watch over threads constantly to delete any negative comments. Only thread that gets protection mode is One Piece where any negative comment is banned/deleted as one of the mod/cronies is making the general thread and can directly ask for ban.
>Why are they adding things when so many volumes are out and this is only 1 cour?
The original content was really only the full rakugo performances
There also wasn't the an overt disliking rakugo subplot, but Ishida tells Sukeroku at one point that he's the reason began liking rakugo so I guess they're expanding on that idea
This is older than most of her BL. Her long running BL began in the same year.
>then suddenly all that faggotry happened in the second episode.
>two abandoned children comforting each other is faggotry
Who turned your heart to stone bro
It's hard to explain, but it's like you can sort of grasp the different speaking tones and accents, then when you mix that in with the visuals and how they angle one side for different people and the facial tones, it does make for a mostly enjoyable thing to watch.
I get that you're not going to get everything from subs, especially considering its using a mix of 80s and old time story japanese.
I'm watching it and its great, Didn't expect Rakugo to be so good.
>Fast forward to 2017
>Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu is the best selling anime of 2016 by a factor of 10
>Studios catch on to what audiences actually want.
>Studios catch on to the wrong thing.
>Most anime become nothing but a man on stage in a dark room reciting the plot to the audience for twenty minutes
>Remaining anime are all the standard fan service garbage, but copy/pasted into the Showa era instead of the near future like they are now.
>At least one studio really misses the mark and gives us a gay shota romance anime
Calling it now.
I heard Kumota Haruko herself was supposed to be the character designer for the anime but it feels like the show really butchered her style. Maybe it's the color, I'm not sure, but they don't feel as distinctive. I didn't even notice it was one of her works at first.
You can see her style in certain shows, but anime often tones down mangaka's styles. Just look at Asano's designs for Subete ga F ni Naru or Kumeta's for that one PAworks show about tanuki.
I like the old artstyle it makes me nostalgic for the 90s. Old ladies are really the only type that still draw like that.
But cuck's closer to the right term for this, not ntr. Ntr isn't what's happening here.
If you're pedantic neither is cuckoldry but between two wrongs it's closer to the literal meaning.
Nozaki-kun's author writes a literal shoujo manga in another magazine.
This is airing next season, You can kill yourself now and save you months of suffering.
Next episode MC will meet his girlfriend, show will become straight.
>Those mouths are horrible
I'm just posting renamed pages from the author's other manga you dumbass. Reverse image search would give it away.
It's essentially looking out to please the same audience, so obviously, and it's not like the author's taste changes from work to work, so it will be reflected.
You should do your research next time before you burn yourself, be this your reminder. Especially when there's a dominantly male cast.
It's her one shot in Dame BL actually.
>Next episode MC will meet his girlfriend
But he doesn't give a shit about Miyokichi
That is a nice meme opinion, friend.
I started watching this because Yuu Kobayashi summoned me, first episode was fun even if long but the second wasn't as interesting.
I'm not really into the old man's backstory, that's not what I signed up for.
v04-08 ebook rips.
The first episode I skipped the performance, because I was so afraid that he was going to mess up. I also skipped Yakumo's because I was too afraid to see him fuck up. It's one thing when it's a fight, but like this all you can see if the character fucking up and being really nervous. It's not as if they can just throw a punch to change the course of the fight. In this case they just have to keep performing.
It's too nerve wracking for me.
>tfw not mentally prepared for best boy's death
