Helck has a build up from the beginning. The setting is mundane at first considering there are rpg levels. But that gets quickly over written as the world building is seen from characters perspective and seeing what is wrong and the mystery unfolding as to what is going on. The comedy aspect is having a humorous punch line to whatever seems comical like a tsukkomi. It does not seem old as the same jokes are not repeated and comes only occasionally. The characters are unique to us as they do not follow a particular archetype alot of times and their personalities are fleshed out in a positive way.
