Read the guide before asking any questions
Because you are too stupid to understand the fact that people like her and the chance of her getting more scales is kinda limited.
Only Saberfags can nitpick what they want to buy.
What are the risk of getting a bootleg from Japanese Amazon's seller (the purchase is fulfilled by Amazon)?
The description of the item tells nothing about it being a bootleg or no, the seller description is just your usual box scratched and stuff.
>Only Saberfags can nitpick what they want to buy.
That's the dumbest shit I've heard all week. Get some standards, man.

He's fallen for the "You must buy everything that has your waifu's face slapped on it" mentality that i'm sure these companies just love.
So many times I see people on here straight up act like it's heresy to not buy a figure or merch of your waifu if you don't like it/don't need it, as if you can't love your waifu unless you put money in the pockets of the jap jews who licensed her image for the sake of making a profit off of your blind devotion to her, this is especially true of those who play gacha mobile games like SS or SIF.
If you like the merch/figure that's fine, buy it, but if you're forcing yourself to buy something out of some stupid belief that you must in order to validate your love for a fictional character then you're simply stupid and allowing yourself to be exploited.
Serious question about figures on ebay. I have some figures that I want to sell, but I'm not sure if people will "believe me" that they are genuine and not counterfeit if I list them on ebay, given the large number of counterfeit figs sold there.
What are people's experiences buying and especially selling figures on ebay? Should I just list my figure like normal, or do I need to put a reserve on the auction so it doesn't get mistaken for counterfeit and sell for only $20? Would a Make An Offer style listing work better than an auction?
Of just the box, or of the figure too? Might seem like a silly question, but with 10 figures to sell, it gets time consuming to set up photos with good lighting for that many figures and constantly take them in and out of their boxes without breaking anything..
Other than the Maxfactory and the recent Aphamax one, I don't think any of the other ones actually look good.
Pretty much same thing with Chun Li figures. Got a bunch but really only a tiny few actually look good.
there three or four more worth buying but as I said they're made of coldcast.
It makes me happy that you made this. I am proud of you. The Wixoss cards are beautiful and deserve to be collected.
Meh, not really. But there are no good Rei scales. I'd honestly recommend picking up one of the Sega or Banpresto prizes. They're cheaper and none of the scales are much of an improvement over them.
It took Jackie forever to arrive but she's in good hands now
Given the quality of the average eBay seller, you could probably get away with taking a decent photo of the figure through the box and not being from China. If you want to make your figures seem more attractive to buyers, though, you'll need to put in the extra effort, especially since you're selling them pre-owned.
Also, I wouldn't bother with auctions for figures unless they're extremely rare. The pre-owned figure market is spread thin, and you're gambling on at least two people simultaneously coming across and deciding to bid on your listing within a short period of time. If you want a certain price for one, list it at that amount.
From my experience:
>take pictures, have them with a name stamp
>take pictures of the box with the authentication sticker
>be very anal about the description; list any flaw to the figure/base/accessories; and be honest about the box condition
eBay in general will not side with you. They side with buyers. PayPal does the same.
Be honest with your handling time and add a few extra days to it. Make sure you state how many days the buyer has to pay. You can extend this if you want to be nice, but PayPal now offers most buyers a 14 day Pay After Delivery option so if they're extending it too long they're probably flakes/problem buyers.
Avoid ToykoCopX from MFC. He's a piece of shit who tries to put of paying likely because he can't afford it in the first place.
You can do a reserve for an expensive or sought after figure. For those, I'd at least have it at retail+shipping and/customs.
For other auctions, set it at what you'd feel okay with it going for.
Buy It Now is good and doing a Best Offer is fine. You can set a maximum you're willing to take of the price that will go through without your approval, but if you want to approve every offer you can.
I realize this is a long shot, but I have had one of these carabiners for a few years and have used it for my key, but as is the case with time mine is nearly completely destroyed. I have searched online for a replacement and have found some on ebay for around $50, as well as back ordered every one on amiami, but now im turning to you guys. Does anyone know where I could find one for a reasonable price, and show any character, plain, i not picky, I just want one the same body type. help me out
It still baffles me why after all these years they still can't make a good Rei figure. Asuka has like a few decent ones but they're also mainly the rebuild version which I hate. It's such a popular series and with so many damn figures out, why can't they get it right? It makes no sense.
The RAH is the best Rei crazily enough. But it's a RAH...
amiami is sold out, they have back order on some of the one piece, and prince of tennis, all of which I have back ordered but there is no telling if or when stock will be available.
Rei has subtle expressions, I noticed. Where they look nice in illustrations some of that shading and detail get lost in the transformation into figures. I think a lot of it has to do with them not refining details well enough to grasp that subtlety, so most the time she looks bored at best, but mostly out of it.
December finally arrived. These keychains are a sickness. I can't stop ordering them
I never take picture when I list stuff unless there's something wrong with the figure and I've never had a problem after 50+ figures sales.
I do take a picture of the shipping label+the figure when it's packed up before I ship though, just in case they say I didn't ship the figure or something.
It's not that. It's just that none of the top tier makers have bothered to do a recent fig. No Alter aside from the old prone version, No Max Factory, no GSC, no Amakuni, etc. A bland expression would be fine if they could just get the basic execution right like they have on several recent Asuka figures.
I have this and I do quite like it. There is some cracking on the suit though and a bit of stitching came loose on the leg, but I fixed that.
I have pic related as well that is better, quality wise, than the Rei.
I have the Rei
Figmaas well which is okay. Best thing about it is the cockpit.
Have it and I like her. Still smells like strawberries till this day. Although you'd have to make sure to display her at around the same height as yourself or higher. You'll end up not seeing her face if you place her on a low shelf. That is unless of course you like looking down on her.
also panders to footfags
Otherwise, i'm liking these new ones coming out.
If the Rei 3.0 RAH is anything like the Asuka one I imagine there aren't any quality issues with it. The only problem is that its
Sorry about the wait. Now that you mention it, the outline is indeed thicker than the previous ones. Wonder if there was a reason for that.
It is thick but thankfully not as thick as the preview images. I don't know why. Maybe they'd try a different style or the artist who drew up the images preferred thick lines.
Shiki is the only figure I have ordered, but it's already paid for so I'm pretty much free for the time being
Most are refugees from 2015. Aside from that just GSC Saber Bride.
Nothing, but I'm considering preording this. Only thing stopping me is if she'll fit in a detolf or not.
Also looking forward to Alter's Maki and Nozomi
I only have Kiss-Shot
I'm finally free.
Is there any forwarding company out there that would be willing to ship an animator's work desk? I want to get this but I know they don't ship outside the country.
Partly because of licencing. The rights holders agree to allow gk makers to sell a certain number of items at a certain event for free. The makers have to apply to the rights holder before hand to get approval. If you've ever bought a real gk, they come with the same little holographic sticker from Kadokawa, or whoever the rights holder is, that scales come with.
Then partly because these are guys making these kits in their garages, so to speak. They can't make great quantities. These kits aren't usually even available online in Japan.
The animation company that had a US site which bought these desks told me that this seller they bought the desks from doesn't ship outside the country, so I don't think emailing the ones selling the desks and asking them to ship it will work. Plus I can't read moon.
Also if I ship by boat, are there any companies you guys know of to use?
Shiina from Angel Beats
A better 1/8 Chun Li figure
A better 1/8 Mai Shiranui figure
A better 1/8 Morrigan Aesland figure
A better 1/8 Sakura Kasugano figure
A better 1/8 Ling Xiaoyu figure
A better 1/8 Asuka Kazama figure
A better 1/8 Nakoruru figure
A fucking Acchi Kocchi figure line as long are not shitty nendroids or dwarfs from other companies
Some Mahou Sensei Negima and Hayate no Gotoku figures too
Tokiame figs of
Hata no Kokoro
Whatever I've wished but jewsmile company, kotojewbia, jewpresto, banjewai, jew factory, mega jewuse etc are way too busy printing money with shit figures from idgaf franchises
Nothing will happen as per usual
Just hire a carpenter to build it, it'll be cheaper and probably higher quality.
A lot of American desks like to go for the "contemporary" look, meaning no storage for papers and crap.
Try actually looking at animation desks not drafting tables. You realize those are different things, right?
Take a trip to IKEA and get some storage cabinets you autistic faget.
I've been looking for one, but they all have this stupid circle table or isle design I really hate. The styles aren't similar from what I've seen so far. That or just a plug in light box that I already have. On top of that, I don't even see anyone actually selling these, all they have are the pictures of the designs, not actually for sale. Do you know a place that sells a similar one?
Considering the labor and materials, chances are they'll be the same price and at least a manufactured one I can ask them if anything isn't right. Plus the end product from them could be bad and I wasted money. I'd rather go with manufactured.
This is the ones I've seen but that circle and the designs of the desk are really bad and wasted space. The circle really kills it too. I would consider the middle white one as it's the closes to the one I want but I've seen and clicked that one before, it's just a gallery.
Yeah I was thinking that. I'll give it a shot, but I kinda doubt they will.
Are you sure you don't want anything else anon? You'll have so much cash this year
>A better 1/8 Mai Shiranui figure
But the 1/6th by Max Factory and Alphamax are plenty
If anything, I'd like a re-release of the Alphamax because dat butt, butI already have the Max Factory.
I like to say the face is... eccentric. It certainly is rather unique and very pretty in it's own right.
She's apparently from a card mobage, so for all intentions and purposes she's an original character based of the samurai Matabei Gotou.
It's just the regular EMS speed now that the holidays rush is over.
I would also like to know how best to hide figures. My wife and her son have been getting very nosy when it comes to the contents of my office, and I fear they will one day break in to see what I'm hiding from them
>Implying I wouldn't an Ayy LMAO
Bitch, outer space better be prepared because the day humans soar the stars would be the day the asshole of every living species in the galaxy clenches in fear.
You can say any pencil is good enough for anyone cause a pro uses that type of pencil, but if that's their tool of preference then that's what they'd like. It doesn't apply to everyone. Also animators in the west put the peg bars on the bottom while eastern animators put them at the top, it's a preference thing. I don't want to spend large amounts of money on something I don't like.
I don't like those table, I've used them before or at least only the circular part. The circular hole is really annoying and drives me nuts because the light isn't even and it just peaks out randomly. Plus again, there aren't even any companies I've seen that even sell them if it was a last resort.
>Got shipping mail today in the morning
>Got into my country today
>Today is Saturday, federal offices in my country shouldn't be working
What The FUCK?
Not much shading on her. Amazing sculpt tho.
You know what they say: Mexico is more surreal than Salvador Dali's paintings.
Surrealism has nothing to do with reading comprehension.
The status mention it being on it's way, not that the package already arrived.
>My wife and her son
I just want a proper Symphogear figure /a/, not these fucking bullshit garagekits
Bunny Chris is still alright though
Oh the irony, ignorant anon. Learn the difference.
We can suffer together, /a/non
At least her new daki is pretty nice
I wish she got a proper scale and not a fucking BQ which is way overpriced right now on top of that. Especially wish she had a lewd maid costume scale. Fuck why did this series get so few figures?
Sometimes I name my images "image.jpg" on my PC just to trigger autists like you.
newfag, please, nobody is renaming files here
I sold the Max Factory cause like their Morrigan her but was off, plus while inspecting her there it was a seam line that was starting to show on her tight, and not she was not a bootleg, just a common problem with old figures and their so called Q.C
I don't like the Alphamax cause she looks like a generic girls cosplaying as Mai,guess I'll be investing some money on a 3d printer and software to make what I somehow like instead of waiting
Yeah, she has a huge seam line, but I believe she looks amazing nonetheless. Thing is that the Alphamax figure took her KoF XIII artwork as basis, which is not very detailed on the face, the rest is pretty amazing, specially the butt you seek so much.
What are the chances of seeing a Boros figure?
I feel like, as far as some scales go, You can do a pretty good job of making the statue look alot like the character , However Chaika's face doesn't really look like this, and generally she's a happy character so why make her look like she's just offed some mafioso.
Thoughts? Im considering buying
Based on this illustration.
It seems this one is available on AmiAmi.
Huge rabbit dumb aside, is it worth for the delicious thighs?
>Work 10 hours a day 6 days a week at dead end job
>Only salvation is anime and plastic butts
>Spend 9000 anime dollars on a figure
>get charged half of the cost of the figure on shipping
I didn't even watch the show and knew what the figure was based on. He was obviously too busy posting chaika face reaction images to pay attention. Also, anime Chaika looks like shit, why would people want a figure in that style over the one they can already get?
Only because he's new as fuck doesn't make him a shitposter.
I like spoonfeeding them just to trigger autists like you.
I mean I'm new to the whole thing, Crusify me. I have 7 figs, I'm starting to appreciate shows for more than the show itself, never read LN's or manga before. Was never really introduced.
I'll also have to pay taxes on top of that, so yeah, FUCK
>TFW Australia will soon have to pay tax on receiving anything below $1000 too
speaking of which, which of the big shops undervalue their stuff?
Not arrogant, that's just normal for a primarily Murrikkan board, and I'm saying that as a non Murrikkan. It is pretty much a rule of thumb, unless someone else specifies a different currency that symbol is interpreted as USD.
I have used eknight alot, theyre good.
why did nobody buy Yukinoshita's figure?
Most people didn't like the fact that
A: it was meant to be paired with yui
B: her expression
C: The chair deal. people weren't fond of the sitting down thing, No fuckin clue why, but i've seen it every time these figs get mentioned.
>personally I like them both
>Next year there will be no threshold
Does this mean.. USA is gonna have to fight AUS over who gets Nipnopland?
In canada if you pay taxes or not seems to depend on how lazy the customs guy is, which in my case seems to be very lazy since my shit rarely gets hit even though i always use EMS.
I'm thinking about just having my stuff shipped to one of those places on the border in the states that will receive packages for you if a place does not ship to canada. Its like $3 a package and $10 in gas to go pick it up to avoid fees 100% of the time.
Not a big shop but http://jungle-scs.co.jp/ undervalued without me asking. 2 Nendoroids and 2 Scales undervalued from 20k to 3k yen. Undervalued way too much though. I live in Freedom so it didn't matter.
It'll never happen, but I want a fig of pic related.
I'm hoping that Tomy partners with Azone to make Little Armory mascot dolls on the Assault Lily line (or just Picco Neemo or whatever) so I don't have to deal with just Figmas. Barring that, a prototype of the LA Figma, at least. Tomy just knocked it out of the park with the shotgun packs, so I'm expecting them to keep up the good work.
Also more FAGs or maybe some real news from Desktop Army.
Does anyone else's copy of Utamonogatari smell like play-doh?
I want to touch a thick aidoru.
Can't blame you on this one. Figma joints in particular look pretty bad and even worse on cute girl characters. Jointed stuff can look really good though. Just look at the newer s.h. figuarts. Bandai has been upping their game lately with their karate bugmen.
Until ghost that is
Ask over on /toy/, too. But it depends. By sealed, do you mean that you painted it and put a topcoat on yourself? If it hasn't cured, windex or simple green will take care of it in an hour or two of soaking.
If it came sealed and it's cured, then that's harder. You'll have to try lots of different things and it varies so wildly that no one can say for sure unless they have your exact kit. Rubbing alcohol is always a good first try, though.
Maybe Jungle should start offering a service where they'll slap a CHINA VERSION sticker on merchandise so when you undervalue it might appear to be more credible. Doubt that'll work though.
How much was the total of kiss shot inc shipping from GSC?
Then good luck because the front page clearly states that all requests need to be made before they send the invoice. Maybe they'll be nice this time since the box size was unexpected.
I've done it after that announcement was made. It's just a crapshoot whether they care or not. Either way I'm pretty sure kiss shot will bin so I'm just not going to pay unless I save money on shipping.
>The Treasurer, Joe Hockey, says that the agreement means all overseas purchases will be taxed at the full 10 per cent GST rate, as of July 1, 2017.
It's going to be like the UK where customs use your stuff to blackmail you in to paying to get it.
>Find a doujin I've been wanting to own
Why do I still want it?
But that is wrong, current plastic quality makes it way more expensive than what it was, that's why plasticizer leaks have been diminished BUT it's still a problem for some figures, particularly nendos do have those issues, even the new ones
I don't get this. If the plasticizer will leak out, why is it a problem if it's boxed? The amount of plasticizer release will be the same regardless, no?
Oh so you were talking about how it affects the figure and not your health.
>not at the same rate
Is it higher or lower? why? source?
>sticks to figure if boxed
The only sticky figure I've experienced was some sega prize and that was sitting out of its box on an non-enclosed shelf. It because sticky everywhere anyway. I don't know what that tells me.
But I've read that blog post before and it mentions nothing about more plasticizers released in closed spaces. In fact, it says more is released when exposed to light, which means a figure will emit more when displayed then when it is sitting in a box (assumption being it's away from light as it's stored somewhere).
You may be confusing rate with concentration.
Japan uses the term 'used' in the correct way. eBay considers an item 'new' unless it has noticeable wear where in Japan, anything that doesn't come directly from the manufacturer is 'used' despite what condition it's in.
I'm assuming you mean someone else sold Manda the same item and that's why it's back up.
If that's the case, I was definitely being a retard.
Will I regret shining my black light on my used doujin from Mandarake?
how are you going to jizz on a doujin and not have it be readily apparent even without a blacklight.
the disgusting part is that they touched their dick and then touched the pages, but that doesn't show up in black light. and it's no different from touching anything else in the world that people have touched.
>asks stupid question because ignorant.
>gets told it's a stupid question.
>doesn't bother to do research to find out why it's stupid
>anon spoonfeeds partial answer.
>still asks same stupid question again.
Willfully ignorant retards are why people hate spoonfeeding and stupid questions.
>buy friend anime present for christmas
>present arrives today.
>already bought replacement gift because of late package.
>birthday is 6 months away
Would you give the gift to your friend, or just wait 5 months?
>i cannot find the answer with minimal effort so it must not exist and because people are not explaining it to me then I must be right.
the very definition of willful ignorance.
If you're the kind of person to freak out over bodily fluids being on a used product you bought you shouldn't own a black light my man.
There's never been noticeable cum on anything I've bought so to me that's the same as it never having had cum on it. It's on a need-to-know basis, and I definitely don't.
>but that doesn't show up in black light. and it's no different from touching anything else in the world that people have touched.
I touch my dick all the time and then leave the house and touch the same doors, seats, tables, whatever as the rest of you. I don't care enough to wash my hands every time I leave the house.
Just deal with the fact that nothing in this world is really clean, you won't die by touching dirty stuff.
Yeah not to mention all the fecal matter you come in contact with on a daily basis.
Did you know that supermarket shopping carts are like 75% fecal matter?
Not even taking into account the amount floating in the air from people farting and the amount on door handles etc from people/kids who dont wash their hands properly after shitting.
Also you dont know how clean those japs that put together your figs are.
Tl;Dr: the world is ugly, but figures are still beautiful to me
does anyone own this badboy? Thinks its forth 340 american burgerbucks?
>tfw every figure you want is old and hard to find
Maybe I'll bother trying Figinstock one of these days.
Unless you're talking about Sakura Miku v2 or figma Horse, you're mostly like thinking of Chinese people making your figures.
I had a dormmate in college that was Chinese. After we got comfortable he would walk around the room with his hands down his pants. I asked him if he was massaging his balls and he said no, he was "plucking his ass hairs." Slightly disgusting, but I'm not one to judge right away. I asked him if he was just dropping the ass hairs on the ground, since he wasn't walking to the trashcan. We had a no shoes in the room rule, so we took off our shoes at the door. He said yes. I then asked him, how do you wash your hands before leaving the room. He said he doesn't. He then walked over to his computer and picked his nose.
That's the type of person who is making your figures.
The lucky part is that figures are coated with sealer, so all those hands that touched your figure are one layer of protective coating away from touching yours. The second lucky part is after the figures are sealed it's handled in a relatively clean room with gloves so that they don't ruin the sealer or the figure while boxing it up. The box is likely touched by many shit hands though.
That's because none of the shops on the main strip sell anything besides second hand figures. It's literally written on the signs. Kotobukiya does but they're the only one and off the strip.
> lol it was too cringey for me
You're too cringey for me.
How did the Tharja and Cordelia figures sell?
Is there a good chance for any FE IF figures to be announced this year? I want a titties nee-chan.
I mean it's not cringey in terms of weeb stuff. It was cringey in terms of seeing 50 year old salary men with boners in doujinshi shops looking at lolis... or walking to the dark corner of a shop to find junior idol shit (basically child porn) that and seeing cringe americans buying sword art online and naruto figurines
>Also i stayed away from the main strip lol it was too cringey for me
Jesus Christ, it just keeps getting worse.
I think boxes are a higher risk than figures. Any germs that may have been present on the figures during production would have died by the time it was shipped to your doorstep.
You're not alone in your search, believe me!
Let alone Ulith, you have good taste
>This entire post.
Why, anon? My literal OCD heart can't take this.
The key is to put the figure inside something else to protect it before engaging in any degenerate activity. Personally, I used to prefer cling wrap but have since switched to jumbo zipper bags in order to lower the risk of damage to any delicate parts of the figure being used.
Hot gluing is so passé.
We've all moved onto cold gluing by now.
confirmed: this entire subreddit is beaners.
I looked at the video comments. Most of it was completely gay shit. Seems like hotgluing figures is kind of borderline straight. Watching people hotgluing figures is entirely gay
